The desire to know yourself and to be truly known by others is central to a life worth living; I respect the courage it takes to face difficult patterns and make lasting change. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than 25 years’ experience helping people navigate life challenges.
I entered the field of social work 10+ years ago to advocate for and assist others in finding their voice. I quickly learned I was able to use my skills to help clients overcome obstacles and navigate broken systems. Over the course of my career, the need to address mental health disparities became apparent, as did the lack of available providers to do so. I became a licensed therapist to help clients live a life free of shame, one that is authentic without needing anyone else’s approval.
Are you feeling insecure, anxious, have a pattern of overthinking, or simply stressed, and unmotivated. I'm here to assist you in gaining clarity over your life I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialogue to meet your unique and specific needs by identifying your therapy goals and working towards healthy, productive, life -affirming solutions.
My counseling style is client -focused and somewhat laid back. I have been described as supportive, caring and compassionate, with a pretty good sense of humor. I like to focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them to overcome your obstacles. I utilize motivational interviewing, mended with empathy, compassion, and gentle guidance, to assist you in a solution-based approach, I am here to help you sort through the things that are difficult right now, and offer you a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgement.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidence-based approach that focuses on helping clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, so that they can begin to make targeted change. I work to help clients understand their physical response to external stressors, and begin to problem-solve ways to introduce moments of calm, to choose to respond rather than react in the face of change.
People often come to therapy carrying emotional pain, life stressors, or patterns they’ve been struggling with for a long time. I work with individuals from diverse and multicultural backgrounds who are navigating challenges related to mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
My approach is person-centered and collaborative, rooted in the belief that you are the expert of your own life and experiences. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to grow. Drawing from my experience in both outpatient and residential treatment settings, I focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship that fosters trust, insight, healing, and meaningful change.
As a mental health professional, I believe that prioritizing emotional well-being is essential to living a fulfilling and balanced life. Seeking help takes courage, and I commend you for taking that step toward healing and growth. My work focuses on supporting adults and couples as they navigate challenges such as addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions.
Everyone’s story is unique, and I believe therapy should reflect that. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your experiences, building self-awareness, and developing lasting change. I approach therapy collaboratively—working alongside you to identify goals and find strategies that fit your life.
Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals. We focus on helping you gain self-awareness, strengthen relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence and calm. Therapy is more than symptom management—it’s about creating meaningful change, rediscovering your strengths, and building the life you want to live.

Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. It’s incredibly brave to reflect on your life and decide to make positive changes. Seeking support is often the first meaningful step forward. I believe one of the most healing experiences a person can have is to feel truly heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I work with adults, adolescents, and children ages 10 and older, helping clients navigate anxiety, intrusive thoughts, relationship patterns, stress, and life transitions. I have extensive experience working with first responders, healthcare professionals, correctional staff, and individuals navigating high-stress careers.
I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for anxiety, depression, burnout, and life transitions, as well as Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD. As someone who personally understands OCD and the experience of feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, I know how overwhelming it can feel when old coping strategies stop working and you’re unsure how to move forward. Therapy can provide a space to better understand yourself, build healthier coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My goal is to help clients feel more confident, emotionally grounded, and connected to a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. If you’re ready to begin creating a life you genuinely enjoy, I would be honored to support you in that process.
After a career in the corporate world, I "reinvented" by going back to school to obtain a masters degree in counseling. I have worked at the VA, FL civil commitment prison, a psychiatric hospital and for the last five years counsel for a local hospital system serving a diverse population. Married, 5 kids, (3 adopted), cats and dogs, successes and failures in both business and personal life. I continue to learn how to navigate life's challenges and find meaning and purpose helping others. I practice CBT, ACT, and mindfulness, but believe the client's language should drive their journey. Being heard and understood is a partnership. Cultivating peace inside us allows us to see things as they really are. I pledge to always do my best for you.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than a decade in mental health, working with high-functioning adults who look fine from the outside but feel like they're quietly running on empty. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, burnout, life transitions, relationship patterns, and questions of identity and purpose often while carrying a lot and holding it all together.
I bring particular depth for healthcare professionals and for Hispanic/Latina clients balancing family expectations with their own path, and I work in both English and Spanish. Born in Colombia and raised in Florida, I understand what it's like to live across cultures.
My approach is collaborative, integrative, and evidence-based, drawing on CBT, ACT, DBT-informed work, and Emotionally/Solution Focused Therapy. I care about depth and lasting change, not just managing symptoms. If meaning and purpose matter to you, they're welcome here and if they don't, that's fine too.

I’ve been passionate about psychology since I was eighteen, when I began studying it in Cuba. My mother once told me she had always dreamed of being a psychologist but had to follow another path—and that dream inspired my own. After completing my degree in Cuba, where I worked in inpatient and school settings, I continued my journey in the United States and earned my master’s degree in psychology.
Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults through moments of crisis, grief, and major life transitions. My experience with multidisciplinary teams has taught me to see each person as a whole—emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Hi, I’m Bernadette — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy should feel safe, supportive, and genuinely helpful. My style is warm, down‑to‑earth, and collaborative. I’m the kind of therapist who listens closely, asks thoughtful questions, and gives you practical tools you can use in real life. You’ll always know you have a space where your feelings matter, your experiences are respected, and your goals guide our work.
My background includes extensive training in trauma‑informed care, CBT, DBT, and family‑systems approaches. I also have a strong passion for working with neurodivergent clients and families, offering an affirming space where strengths are recognized and supported.
My own life experiences — growing up in a close family, learning the importance of communication, and navigating my own seasons of growth — shape the way I show up as a therapist. I understand what it feels like to carry a lot, to want to do well, and to feel overwhelmed by expectations. That’s why I focus on helping clients build emotional clarity, healthier patterns, and practical coping skills that truly make a difference.
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your family, my goal is to help you feel grounded, capable, and supported as you work toward meaningful, lasting change.
Hi, I'm Ricardo. I'm a Hispanic man who's done my own work in therapy to figure out who I am and who I want to be—which is a big part of why I do this work today.
I went into counseling field because I kept seeing people who felt unheard or misunderstood by the people around them, often carrying more than anyone realized. That's especially true for a lot of men and teenage boys I've worked with—individuals who feel like they're supposed to be strong, keep things to themselves, or handle things alone, but who rarely have a space to actually talk about what's underneath that. I grew up seeing some of those same pressures and unhealthy patterns around what it means to "be a man," and part of my work now is helping men and boys move away from those roles and into a healthier, more grounded version of who they are—as partners, providers, sons, and people.
I especially enjoy working with teenage boys who are figuring out who they are, often at an age when it's hard to talk to the adults around them about what's really going on. I try to meet them where they are—not lecturing, not judging—so they actually want to keep showing up and talking.
For parents: if your son is pulling away, shutting down, or you're just not sure how to reach him right now, that's exactly the kind of thing we can work through together.
Outside of the therapy room, I'm endlessly curious—I love traveling, learning about different cultures, sports, and music (I play a bit of guitar). I think that mix of curiosity, care, and having done some of my own work is a lot of what I bring into the room with clients.

I integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, mindfulness, and nervous system-informed strategies. Whether you're healing from past trauma, managing anxiety or depression, strengthening relationships, or navigating a major life transition, we'll work together to create meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
