I listen and try to understand your situation and learn what it's like to be you. I can offer suggestions but I won't tell you what to do. I believe that my clients know what they need to do to help them heal, it might not be clear right away but after I am able to understand your problems we can work together to find solutions.
It's a big step to seek counseling and to go into therapy. I respect everyone who wants to improve their mental health and well being. It isn't easy to seek help and allow oneself to be vulnerable and share ones' experience. I have listened to thousands of people and I am delighted hear everyone's story to see how I can help.
I’m glad you’re here. Looking for support is a big first step. Therapy can be a place to slow down, to make sense of what you’re dealing with, and find new ways forward that feel more manageable.

Additionally, I've worked with adults on the autism spectrum, family members and caregivers of people with developmental disabilities, and others in helping roles. More importantly, I’m interested in getting to know you as an individual and working together in a way that feels supportive, practical, and aligned with who you are.

My approach is grounded in creating a safe, respectful, and nonjudgemental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring the concerns that brought them to therapy. I believe therapy is a collaborative process. Rather than telling you what you should do, I work with you to better understand your experiences, identify your strengths, develop practical coping strategies, and explore meaningful steps toward the changes you would like to make. I incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions while tailoring treatment to each person's individual needs, goals, values, and circumstances.

In addition to providing therapy, I have spent more than a decade working as a school social worker, supporting elementary-aged children, many of whom receive special education services through an Individualized Education Program (IEP). I am a person who has dealt with many hardships which has made me what I want others to be, not just a surviver but a person who fights to thrive. What has led me to social work has been experiencing tough times and recognizing that I could be some of the change and support I felt I needed during the times I felt I had no one.
Hi, I'm Brie Hardy, and I'm so glad you found your way here.
If you're a woman navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or a major life transition, you are in the right place. I specialize in supporting women through the everyday challenges that can feel anything but ordinary. My approach is warm, collaborative, and completely tailored to you. I create a safe, judgment-free space where we can work together to build coping skills, increase your confidence, and help you feel more like yourself again.
Sessions with me feel like a real conversation. I take the time to truly understand your experience and what you need, not just what is on the surface. Together we will work at a pace that feels right for you toward the changes that matter most.
Outside of my work I am passionate about spending my faith, spending time with my family and getting creative with crafts, cooking and baking, which keeps me grounded and connected to the human side of this work.
If you are ready to take that first step I would love to connect with you. Let's get started.
I’ve always been interested in understanding people — how life experiences, relationships, stress, and challenges shape the way we cope and move through the world. Over time, I realized I found a lot of meaning in helping people work through obstacles, gain perspective, and feel less stuck in the things weighing them down. I know it can be hard to ask for support, especially when you’ve been trying to manage everything on your own. I want clients to feel comfortable being honest about what they’re facing while also working together to find practical, concrete solutions that help life feel more manageable and move them toward meaningful, lasting change.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and my Master’s degree in Social Work with a clinical focus from Capella University. Over the past 14 years, I have worked with children, teens, adults, couples, and families across in-home, outpatient, and telehealth settings. I’ve supported people through some of the most difficult periods of their lives, including severe anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship struggles, family conflict, crisis situations, and overwhelming life stress. Working in a variety of settings and with diverse client needs has taught me how to meet people where they are, adapt to challenging situations, and help clients find realistic ways to move forward.
I see therapy as a place to be real about what’s not working and figure out what needs to change. Some clients come in feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected in relationships, overwhelmed by responsibilities, or frustrated by patterns they can’t seem to break. My role is to help people make sense of what they’re experiencing, develop practical tools that actually fit their lives, and regain a stronger sense of control, stability, and confidence moving forward.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Licensed Clinical Art Therapist. I completed my Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Counseling at Long Island University. I have clinical experience providing both talk and art therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and groups. I have worked in mental health facilities, medical settings, and in schools. In therapy with me, you can expect to be met with authenticity, empathy, a little humor, insight, and creativity. Together you will build on the strengths you already have to improve your relationships and solve the challenges that have brought you to therapy. I am patient, gentle, and empathetic in my approach to therapy. I meet my clients where they are and assist them on their journey of self-discovery.
Much of my experience has been working with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, substance abuse issues and self-esteem issues. You can expect me to walk you through whatever difficulties you re facing and help you learn more abut yourself and the way you interact with the world. This way we can be more open and honest with each other.
For more than 25 years as a social worker, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they identify their strengths, clarify their goals, and build the skills needed to create meaningful change. Over the years, I have learned that growth rarely happens in a straight line. It often begins with small steps, honest conversations, and the willingness to try something new. I believe every person has the capacity for growth, even during life’s most difficult seasons, and that healing is possible when people feel supported, respected, and understood.
My approach is compassionate, strengths-based, and solution-focused. I blend evidence-based practices with humor, grace, and gentle persistence to help clients move toward the life they want. In our work together, we will focus on what is already working, identify patterns that may be getting in the way, and develop practical coping skills that fit your unique needs and values. I strive to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can speak openly, explore challenges without judgment, and feel encouraged to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow.
I also believe therapy should be both practical and empowering. Together, we will look for creative solutions, build resilience, and strengthen your confidence in handling whatever comes your way. Change is not always easy, but you do not have to navigate it alone. My goal is to help you reduce your struggles, reconnect with your strengths, and discover the tools you need not just to cope, but to thrive in your daily life and relationships. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, I will meet you where you are and work with you at a pace that feels manageable, hopeful, and grounded in your strengths so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

I have worked closely with psychiatrists regarding members who require medication management and assessments, diagnosing and creating for those individuals, couples, and family's treatment plans counseling services. My clientele ranges from 6 to 75 years of age, and my therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Narrative therapy, and Supportive therapy. My foundation and belief system are based on being culturally sensitive when working with all clients to understand how they see their presenting problem within the context of their culture.
