New to Grow
Welcome, Bienvenidos! I’m Ciara Bogar, founder of Transcending Grace Therapy, LLC. I’m glad you’re here. I offer a calm, faith-centered space where individuals and families can slow down, breathe, and safely explore life’s challenges while finding healing through God’s grace. My approach thoughtfully integrates biblical truth with evidence-based therapeutic practices, honoring your pace, your story, and the season of life you are navigating. I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults through emotional struggles, relational challenges, life transitions, trauma, and personal growth. I believe healing is not only about overcoming difficulties, but also about reconnecting with your identity, restoring hope, and rediscovering purpose. Whether you are carrying burdens in silence, navigating uncertainty, or seeking deeper emotional and spiritual wellness, therapy can become a space for renewal and transformation.
During your first session with me at [Transcending Grace Therapy, LLC](https://www.transcendinggracetherapy.com?utm_source=chatgpt.com), you can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where we begin getting to know one another. The first session is an opportunity for you to share what has been weighing on you, what brought you to therapy, and what goals or changes you hope to work toward. There is no pressure to have everything figured out — we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Together, we will discuss your personal history, current concerns, strengths, and any important relationships or life experiences that may be impacting your emotional well-being. I will also explain the therapy process, answer any questions you may have, and collaborate with you to create a plan tailored to your unique needs. My approach is compassionate, faith-centered when desired, and grounded in evidence-based practices to help you feel safe, supported, and empowered from the very beginning.
My greatest strengths are in creating a grounded, compassionate therapeutic space where clients feel safe enough to be honest and supported enough in their journey. My work is relational and strengths-based, focusing on helping clients identify patterns, build emotional regulation skills, and develop healthier ways of coping and connecting with others. I draw from approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based strategies, and family systems work to meet each client’s unique needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all model. At Transcending Grace Therapy, LLC, the goal is not only symptom relief, but meaningful, lasting transformation rooted in grace and practical change.
I identify as
Christian Counseling
I utilize Christian counseling as a faith-based approach to support individuals and families through emotional and relational challenges. In my practice, I incorporate biblical teachings, faith-based encouragement, personal experience, and compassionate counseling techniques to help clients strengthen their emotional well-being and spiritual growth. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients can connect their faith to everyday challenges and develop healthier coping skills and relationships.
Interpersonal
I utilize Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) in my practice to help clients improve communication, strengthen relationships, and better manage emotional challenges connected to interpersonal stressors. I use this approach to support clients in navigating family conflict, peer relationships, grief, life transitions, and difficulties expressing emotions effectively. Through collaborative conversations and skill-building, I help clients identify unhealthy relationship patterns, improve communication, and develop healthier coping strategies to support emotional wellness and stronger connections with others.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
I utilize mindfulness-based therapy in my practice to help clients increase self-awareness, emotional regulation, and healthy coping skills. I incorporate mindfulness techniques such as grounding exercises, deep breathing, emotional awareness, and present-moment focus to help clients manage anxiety, stress, impulsivity, and overwhelming emotions. This approach helps clients develop greater control over their reactions, improve emotional balance, and build healthier responses to daily challenges.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I utilize person-centered therapy in my practice by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and respected. I focus on empathy, active listening, and unconditional positive regard to help clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. This approach allows clients to build self-awareness, confidence, and personal growth while working collaboratively toward their goals.
