I am accepting new clients in Colorado and Georgia.
Hi, my name is Janice Barrocas. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in counseling people who are visually impaired.
Want to work with someone who really gets it? Many therapists do not understand the medical aspects and psychological issues involved with an acquired disability. People who feel see, heard, and understood are are better able to adjust to vision loss, including career changes and tension in personal relationships.
Would you benefit from a safe space to process the physical and social trauma related to losing independence and dealing with uncertainty about the future? Let's talk. I can't wait to hear from you!
Have you fallen out of love with yourself because of difficult or challenging life experiences? Perhaps you are finding you are becoming a version of yourself you don't appreciate because your ways of coping with life are no longer effective. I specialize in treating addiction and have a strong focus of working with attachment trauma/PTSD. I have a unique way of incorporating my years of experience as a therapist with EMDR, resulting in individuals feeling seen, heard, and honored.

I identify as a Queer, Xicana therapist. I am a step-mom to twin, teenage boys. I specialize in supporting individuals through healing journeys of trauma, anxiety, and overwhelm. I do this by offering a safe, compassionate, culturally-sensitive approach. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by us all, I work to create a safe space for healing, empowerment, and growth. My goal is to support individuals in navigating their experiences, reclaiming their strength, and building resilience for a healthier, more fulfilling life.
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, past trauma, and co-occurring substance use, especially those who want to better understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. I’m particularly well-suited for clients who are motivated for change—even if they’re unsure where to begin—and are open to a collaborative, skills-based approach to therapy.
In my practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns, such as catastrophizing or all-or-nothing thinking, and replace them with more balanced, realistic perspectives. I incorporate techniques like cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, and practical skill-building to support lasting change. I also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based approach that helps clients process traumatic experiences and reduce the emotional distress tied to those memories. This approach has been especially effective in helping clients experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and substance use challenges achieve meaningful, lasting relief.
I am human first, and because of that, I can often relate to the challenges others face. I take pride in helping people navigate difficult moments, gain clarity, and build confidence in themselves and their lives. I believe everyone has the capacity to grow, heal, and strive for their best—even during times of uncertainty or transition. My role is to walk alongside you, offer support and perspective, and help you get there at a pace that feels right for you.
Do you feel stuck and don’t know what else to do? Are you seeking change to help reclaim your joy, health, and well-being? I will help you to genuinely access what exists inside you to help you become clear and confident in yourself and therefore make effective choices aligned with your true self. I draw from various therapeutic approaches to illuminate underlying issues, free up blocks, and heal old wounds.
Hello, my name is JoAnn Zerr and I have a Masters in Community Counseling and two licensures with DORA. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and also a Licensed Addiction Counselor. I enjoy connecting and helping clients gain insights, resolve trauma, and learn improved relationship skills. I have been in the feild for over 10 years and try to use research based methods of practice to help manage a wide aray of mental health issues.
Hi, I'm Shelly — a licensed professional counselor with a passion for helping people find their footing when life feels overwhelming. My journey in mental health began decades ago in music therapy, working in psychiatric settings where I first witnessed the remarkable capacity people have to heal when given the right support and a safe space. That foundation shapes the way I work to this day — with attunement, creativity, and a deep belief in each person's capacity to heal.
I specialize in anxiety, OCD, trauma, and addiction recovery, using evidence-based approaches including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build real, lasting skills rather than just temporary relief. I have a particular heart for neurodivergent individuals — including those with ADHD and autism — who may have spent years feeling misunderstood. You do fit — sometimes it just takes the right space to discover that.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Good therapy isn't just about insight — it's about leaving each session with something you can actually use. I'll meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels right, and work hard to make sure our time together is meaningful.
For clients who desire it, I welcome the integration of faith and spirituality into our work. I believe healing touches the whole person — mind, heart, and spirit — and that for many people, faith isn't separate from their healing but central to it. I hold that with care and without pressure.
Whether you're navigating a specific struggle or carrying a weight you've held for too long, you don't have to do it alone. Reaching out is the hardest step — and I'm really glad you're here.
I'd love the opportunity to connect.
Hi, I'm Kristin. I'm a Licensed Addiction Counselor and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado. I have worked in the field since 2011, primarily in substance treatment programs, jails, and with individuals struggling with serious mental illness. I began my private practice during the height of COVID-19 in May 2020. I specialize in addiction and relationships, focusing on boundaries, conflict, and relational dynamics. I have significant experience working with adults impacted by addiction and mental health issues, using therapy as a means to understand their experience and learn from it to enable purposeful movement forward.
With over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a deep understanding of the therapeutic process and a strong commitment to helping individuals thrive. I have served in a wide range of clinical and leadership roles-therapist, clinical supervisor, clinical director, and adjunct professor-and have worked in diverse settings such as group homes, outpatient clinics, mental health centers, schools, and most recently, private practice. Licensed as an LPC in Colorado and an LMHC in Florida, I am committed to providing effective, compassionate care that is both present-focused and future-oriented—helping you move forward with clarity, confidence, and hope.
Many people come to therapy at a moment when they realize something in their life can’t continue the way it has been. You may feel stuck in painful patterns, overwhelmed by stress or uncertainty, or aware that something deeper needs attention. I offer a thoughtful, grounded space where we can slow down and explore what is happening beneath the surface so that meaningful change becomes possible. My work integrates mindfulness, somatic awareness, Internal Family Systems, and depth-oriented psychology to help clients understand themselves more clearly and move toward a life that feels more authentic and aligned.

I’m a mental health professional with a background in counseling, education, human services, and advocacy. I’ve worked with adults, youth, and families navigating relationships, life transitions, identity, stress, and difficult circumstances. My approach is relational, practical, and individualized. I work primarily with those struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, life transitions, depression, and trauma.
As a social worker for twenty years, I have seen both the incredible hardships that people face as well as human resilience and adaptability. In therapy sessions, I use humor, warmth, and genuine respect to create a safe and supportive space for that purpose.
I have been married for 28 years, and am a mom to a large family. I have nearly 3 decades of experience with parenting, relationships, and working with individuals, couples, and families. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience supporting adults, Veterans, and families navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship stress, chronic health concerns, and systems-related challenges. I’ve worked across medical, community, psychiatric, and government settings, which means I understand how personal struggles are often connected to larger life circumstances—not just what’s happening internally, but what’s happening around you.
I have been in the mental health field since 1996 and a licensed clinician since 2010. I am licensed in Texas and Colorado. I'm Stef, a licensed clinical social worker and registered yoga teacher. I work primarily with adults who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or stretched too thin by the demands of life. I also specialize in women's mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting.
I became a therapist because I know how easy it is to get caught up in taking care of everyone else while ignoring your own needs. Clients often tell me they appreciate that I am warm, direct, and genuine. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and sometimes includes humor when it helps.
My background in both mental health and yoga informs the way I work. While we'll focus on understanding thoughts, emotions, and patterns, I also pay attention to how stress shows up in the body and how healing often involves reconnecting with ourselves as a whole person.
I became a therapist as a second career. In my first career, I worked in marketing and analytics. I graduated with a BA in Advertising with a minor in Marketing. After working in the advertising, research, and business, I went back to school to get my Masters in Counseling.
I have experience working with eating disorders, athletes, anxiety, depression, divorce, conflict, life stressors and life transitions. I was a competitive runner about 10+ years ago which helps me understand athletes.

Hello, my name is Shannon Dunnan. I specialize at working with individuals struggling with substance use, addiction, anxiety, depression, trauma, life-transitions, relationships, attachment, and emotion regulation challenges. Reaching out for support can feel both brave and uncertain, but beginning therapy is an important step toward overcoming challenges and learning new ways to manage life’s obstacles. My name is Miguel Lopez, a Hispanic male (He/Him/His) and U.S. Army combat veteran who brings a unique perspective to my work as a therapist. Fluent in Spanish and passionate about guiding people through life’s challenges, I hold a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University, and an Associate’s in Criminal Justice from Pikes Peak State College. With over a decade of experience as a caseworker, substance abuse counselor, and therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse clients facing real-life struggles and in need of daily support.
Life can be tough, and we all face difficult moments—whether it’s a breakup, divorce, grief, the loss of a loved one or pet, or even a job loss. In these times, having an unbiased person to offer support can make a world of difference. I see trauma as an unexpected part of life that is often hard to process, but with the right help, it can be managed and overcome healthily. I’ve personally experienced more than my share of trauma, grief, loss, sadness, depression, and substance use, and I sought help to work through them.
My approach to therapy is centered on helping people in the best way possible, always with an open mind. I often use Maslow’s hierarchy of needs as a guide, because I believe mental health is hard to prioritize when physical needs aren’t met, or issues like homelessness or substance abuse are present. I enjoy working with clients from age 5 to older adults who face Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, and other mental health or substance use challenges. It’s easy to fight battles alone and suffer in silence, but you don’t have to anymore—together, we can work toward healing and a better future.
I am a bilingual licensed professional counselor and EMDR certified provider in Colorado. My background includes experience working with a variety of mental health conditions, such as mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma disorders, suicidal ideation, anxiety, depression, and psychosis. I work primarily with adults navigating trauma and life's challenges who want to understand how past experiences may be affecting their present life, and work to shift the patterns that are contributing to their distress. My approach is collaborative and down-to-earth. I aim to create a space that feels grounded, warm, and genuine--where people can slow down, explore themselves on a deeper level, and feel less alone in what they are carrying. I work at a pace that feels safe and manageable to my clients, while building insight and creating meaningful change. I am a calm, curious, open, empathetic, and insight-driven clinician who deeply values and respects the unique needs, qualities, and hopes of each individual I work with.

We’ll start where you are whether that’s putting out fires in your daily life or addressing deeper wounds that keep pulling you back. I combine Brainspotting, practical tools, and direct conversation to help you manage today’s struggles while healing the past. My focus areas include anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and domestic violence. I also work with therapists, first responders, and others carrying the weight of the world.
My style is direct, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that healing is messy but possible. Together, we’ll create a space to explore your emotions, uncover patterns, and build strategies that work for you. It’s not about perfection it’s about progress and reclaiming your life on your terms.

I'm not just a therapist. I'm a coffee enthusiast who starts each day with a pour-over and a quiet moment before the world wakes up. I'm an outdoor lover who believes fresh air and moving my body are non-negotiable whether that's a hike, 4x4ing, hitting the resort/ backcountry, a walk with the family, or just standing in the backyard feeling the sun. And I'm a family man. A partner. A parent. Someone who knows what it's like to be pulled in ten directions and still want to show up fully for the people around me.
That life outside the office isn't separate from my work. It's what keeps me refreshed, grounded, and able to come back to this chair with presence and energy. I don't just talk about balance I live it, imperfectly and intentionally.
The work I've done reflects that same groundedness.
I've been shaped by a wide range of experiences: residential treatment settings where the stakes were high and the progress was hard-won. Outpatient practice where life happens between sessions jobs, kids, marriages, breakdowns and breakthroughs. I've sat with clients across the entire lifespan, from geriatric patients navigating legacy and loss to teens just beginning to ask who they are.
That breadth taught me something: suffering doesn't discriminate by age, and neither does healing. Whether you're sixteen or sixty, whether you're processing trauma or just trying to feel less alone, the fundamentals are the same. You want to be seen. You want to be understood. And you want a way forward that actually fits your life.
That's what I'm here for.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been providing mental health services since 2013. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of New England and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.
Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, and I'm passionate about helping people reconnect with themselves and their strength. I also work closely with parents to build more structure and consistency in their homes, while supporting their own mental health growth.
I started out working in the homes and communities of my clients through an intensive program, working with the families of children who were at risk for out of home placement, such as residential treatment or psychiatric hospitalization. This program was a 6 month therapeutic intervention, helping parents to better understand their children's needs, as well as helping children develop regulatory skills to help them be more successful, in their homes and communities.
I provide virtual outpatient therapy to Colorado residents, working with individuals aged 15 and up who are struggling with daily functioning and searching for their true, authentic selves.
My approach blends evidence-based methods, tailored to support you through distress and toward healing. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are, without judgment, and building a path forward together at a pace that feels right for you.
Hello! I am an LPC-MHSP in the state of TN. I am also fully licensed in both MS and CO. I have over 13+ years experience in the Mental Health field working within a variety of settings. I’ve always been deeply passionate about seeing others thrive and succeed. As my life experiences unfolded, that passion only grew stronger, shaping my desire to serve others and support them in building resilience through life's toughest challenges. I've also long been fascinated by the "why" behind human behavior, which led me to combine these two passions into a life of service-helping others step into and operate at their highest potential.

I believe healing happens in relationship. Together, we'll create a path toward what matters most to you, whether that's quieting the steady hum of anxiety or finding your way out from under the weight of chronic stress.

Wherever your story begins, our work is about helping you feel steady on your feet and ready to make meaningful change.
I listen deeply to your lived experience and draw on a range of approaches to support you through life's complexities. You'll find in me a blend of candid insight, honest reflection, and genuine warmth, so even the hardest conversations feel productive, and never something you have to face alone.

I tailor therapy to your unique needs, integrating mindfulness, trauma-informed care, and relational work to support deep and lasting healing.
