My name is Arakel Aristakessian and I am a first generation American of Armenian immigrants. There is never a lack of drama in my family and I think it is important to be mindful of cultural expectations and norms when navigating conflict. In this fashion, I use an individualized approach to meet my clients' needs. My style of therapy is grounded in the person-centered approach. I practice listening with empathy to my client’s lived experiences. I remind myself that it is not my place to judge anyone for their past choices. It is my responsibility to respond honestly and respectfully. My hope is to mediate shame, so that people feel comfortable and safe in opening up about what is troubling them. Once the therapeutic space feels safe, only then can various treatment methods truly be effective.
Hola Aloha
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) CA, Art Therapist, Eco-Therapist, Certified 500-Hour Yoga Teacher, and Holy Fire Reiki Master.
I support people in creating meaningful change by cultivating mindful awareness of thought and speech patterns that influence growth, joy, and satisfaction. Together, we’ll practice identifying and shifting beliefs that no longer serve you, reframe unhelpful narratives, and open space for empowerment, clarity, and transformation.
Rooted in my Native American Mexica, Spanish, and European heritage, I bring a holistic, culturally grounded approach to therapy. My Souljorn has taken me across Europe, Asia, Mexico, and the Hawaiian Islands, where I immersed myself in culture, permaculture, meditation, healing arts, spirituality, and indigenous ceremonies—experiences that continue to guide my work.
I hold a B.A. in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley and an M.A. in Psychology and Art Therapy, where I studied neuroplasticity and creative approaches to healing and positive change. I also share Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), or tapping, which helps honor and release limiting thoughts and emotions. Mindfulness is the core theme in my practice. I offer guidance to connect with nature, the elements, and the cycles of the seasons as pathways to grounding, connection, renewal, and deeper self-awareness.
Earlier in my career I worked in community clinics, schools, homes, and wilderness therapy programs. Today, I provide online therapy for California residents, offering a compassionate and intentional space for growth and healing.
If you are ready to release old patterns, reconnect with your authentic self, and embrace new possibilities, I am here to guide and support you with care, wisdom, and purpose.
The time for transformation is now. We are the ones we have been waiting for.
Eternal blessings
At my core, I am a therapist who believes in the transformative power of depth, empathy, humor, and the arts. I’ve spent my career helping people understand themselves more fully — not only by reducing symptoms, but by uncovering the narratives, emotions, and self-limiting beliefs that have kept them small or stuck. I work from a humanistic and psychoanalytic foundation, integrating mindfulness, ACT, and solution-focused strategies to help clients access resilience, self-compassion, and real change.
I bring a warm, grounded, and creative presence into the room. My background as an artist and writer shapes my work: I’m attentive to symbolism, story, imagination, and the deeper layers of a person’s emotional life. Humor is also one of my most natural tools, not to avoid pain, but to help clients feel safe, open, and connected as they explore difficult experiences.
Across corporate mental health, trauma work, refugee support, and private practice, I’ve seen how people flourish when they’re permitted to be fully themselves. I help clients build self-esteem through honesty, curiosity, and acceptance; loosen rigid patterns; and move beyond the internalized messages or roles that no longer serve them.
Hello. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California. I am a graduate of California Baptist University and I have 25 years experience and licensed 18 years. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. However for approximately the past seven (8) years I am working with adults only; ages 18-65. I assist them with acknowledging challenges they are facing and learning new ways of coping.
Hello! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) currently based and practicing in Oregon, though with an active license in California as well. I attended California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) for graduate school and lived in the Bay Area for a decade before moving to Portland, OR shortly before the pandemic. I have over thirteen years of experience as a "generalist" therapist, though I specialize in supporting individuals in the midst of life transitions, including but not limited to: relationship challenges, moves to a new city or state, new or chronic medical diagnoses, career and work problems, spiritual questioning, transitions into the workforce or retirement. I do NOT work with couples at this time. While I consider the psychological theories behind my work, I hold them lightly in the room, believing most fundamentally in the importance of an adaptive, culturally-sensitive, non-judgmental stance with my clients.
PLEASE NOTE: your chosen intake appointment time is subject to my final approval based on my shifting availability. I see clients on multiple platforms and am unable to sync all of my calendars in real time. Following the initial appointment, we will find a mutually agreeable meeting time and I will manage the booking on the Grow platform going forward, including rescheduling and cancellations. You will need to message me directly to cancel or reschedule your appointment. I request the courtesy of as much advanced notice as possible. I am not able to work with clients who cancel without 24 hrs advanced notice or no show more than twice.

I am here for you. As a seasoned Therapist, I understand that embarking on the therapy journey can be scary and bring up numerous feelings. This is "your time" to explore, take risks, sit quietly and lead in whatever way feels most comfortable for you. I do not believe that there is one way to do therapy. If you have difficulty starting to tell your story, I may ask you questions to get to know you.
I understand that just as I am getting to know you, you are getting to know me. We are mutually exploring "our fit."

I approach my clients with unconditional positive regard, acceptance, and non-judgment. I work to create a safe environment for them to feel confident that I can hold their pain and gently ask questions to find out why they are seeking treatment. I work with adults navigating the impact of trauma, anxiety, depression, perfectionism, and relational wounds.
I believe healing can be found in a variety of ways that are unique to each of us. Our identities, experiences, and stories shape who we are. I believe it is monumental to learn how all of our pieces intersect to create our authentic self. By understanding these, healing can be transformative.
I believe social justice work is a requirement for therapists. I believe you have a right to know about who you work with morally, ethically, and politically. I am progressive leaning and do what I can to support human rights and the social justice movements. As a white therapist, I believe it is a requirement for me to be engaged in social justice work along with consistent learning experiences.
By providing guidance, support, safety, and empowerment my main goals are to enhance the healing process and promote thriving. I want to create the safest space I can to support connection with your whole, authentic self.
In my sessions, I promote self-discovery, transformation, and self-compassion. I use techniques such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and IFS (Internal Family Systems). I believe using trauma centered, intersectional feminist, social justice, CRT, and Queer Theory perspectives are fundamental in therapy.

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in psychotherapy for adult/elder individuals and couples. I’ve had the privilege of working within various multidisciplinary teams providing psychotherapy for over a decade. This work has enabled me to develop my therapeutic skills and expand on personal attributes vital to the therapeutic processes. I’m passionate, committed to work with people toward their goals, to heal emotional wounds, to achieve more clarity while allowing for growth and improving lives.
Reaching out for help can be a very vulnerable experience, but also a great attribute of strength and resilience. I work with individuals who have experienced trauma in their life. Whether it's from childhood neglect, sexual assault, natural disaster, sudden death or other life circumstances. Trauma often creates patterns and loops that extend into many areas of a person's life, and can be challenging and painful to navigate. Sometimes the way people survive their trauma brings them more pain, adds to the chaos, and reinforces negative beliefs that perpetuate the cycle. I work to empower clients to understand and alter unhealthy cycles to strengthen and better their lives.
I am fluent in ASL American Sign Language and have worked with Deaf clients leaving domestic violence in both a shelter and outpatient therapy services. I have spent 2 years in correctional settings working with severely mentally ill patients and supporting their family members navigating having children with mental illness. I have also spent 2 years working with foster youth and foster parents in providing support to their placements, promoting healing and preserving relationships.
Note that online scheduling is limited. Broader scheduling options will be available to regularly scheduling clients. Please also note that I do not provide opinions about disability or fitness to return to work or other activities for clients who are not well-established at the time that the request for such opinion is made.

Facing changes and challenges alone can be incredibly difficult. I believe everyone deserves a compassionate and understanding supporter to help during these times. I strive to offer my clients a safe environment free of judgement for gentle exploration of what is getting in the way of living an authentic, courageous, fulfilling life. I would be honored to accompany you on your journey to wholeness - so reach out, give me a call, and let's create a life you love.
Congratulations! You have taken the first steps in the journey to your goal(s). I am extremely grateful you are considering me to partner up with. My grandparents are deceased. Through these relationships I have learned a great deal.
Hi! I’m a licensed therapist who believes therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a performance. I bring warmth, honesty, and a sense of humor into the room, and I work best with people who are ready to get curious about themselves, even if they’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure where to start.

Life can feel like a lot sometimes, and I’m here to help you sort through it at your pace, with no judgment and a little humor when it helps.

I strive to offer therapy that is grounded in connection, knowledge, and authenticity in order to help my clients develop healthier relationships with food, their bodies, and themselves. I passionately believe my clients CAN experience FREER and FULLER lives.

I will listen to you and will try my best to support you in finding the path to happiness by practicing and using the tools and methods that are helpful and tangible.
You’re the caretaker or the high achiever—the one who always finds a way to make things work. As a Licensed MFT, I work with women and men who are struggling with burnout, perfectionism, anxiety and depression. Many of my clients feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, people pleasing, or putting others first.

Clients can expect through the process to create stronger boundaries, improved mood, and increased clarity with themselves and the way they see the world.
