Hi, I’m Jami Kulkin. I’m a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 31 years of experience helping people heal, grow, and feel more at home in their lives. I offer a warm, collaborative, and holistic approach to therapy—one that honors your whole self: mind, body, heart, and spirit. Clients often come to me when they’re feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck—whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply the sense that something isn’t working anymore. I believe therapy should feel like a safe, grounding space where you can explore what’s holding you back, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and discover new ways of showing up for yourself and your life. My work draws from a wide range of tools, including cognitive and behavioral strategies, mindfulness, EMDR, hypnotherapy, somatic practices, and spiritual insight. I also bring a Doctorate in Naturopathy and training in fitness, meditation, and sexuality—which gives me a broader lens to support healing from the inside out. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Every client is different, and I meet you wherever you are—with compassion, curiosity, and care. Whether you want structure and goals, meaningful exploration, mind-body practices, or simply a space to be heard without judgment, we’ll work together to find what truly supports your growth. If you’re ready to make meaningful changes and approach life with more clarity and confidence, I’m here to support that process with deep experience and a grounded sense of intuition.
Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a space that feels safe, supportive, and tailored to you. We’ll start by exploring what brought you to therapy—what’s been feeling heavy, confusing, or stuck—and we’ll follow wherever that naturally leads, whether it’s current challenges, past experiences, or inner conflicts that are hard to name. We’ll also talk about what kind of approach might work best for you. Some clients prefer traditional talk therapy, while others are curious about incorporating tools like meditation, hypnotherapy, mindfulness, or reading between sessions. We’ll discuss what feels comfortable, what you’re open to trying, and what kind of support you’re really looking for. By the end of the session, we’ll begin shaping a plan that reflects your goals, your preferences, and your pace—so that therapy feels like something we’re building together, not something you’re expected to fit into.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to weave together multiple perspectives—emotional, behavioral, physical, and spiritual—to approach challenges from several angles at once. This integrative style helps clients uncover insights, shift patterns, and create change on a deeper level. Over the years, I’ve also developed a strong therapeutic intuition. Sessions often feel like they unfold naturally, with a sense of flow and purpose that clients find both grounding and energizing. While every session is shaped around the client, I gently keep the focus on moving forward—toward healing, higher functioning, and a stronger connection with oneself. My approach is thoughtful, clear, and centered on helping you grow—not just understand what’s wrong, but actively move toward what’s possible.
I work best with individuals who are ready to move forward but aren’t sure how. You might be carrying old trauma, stuck in unhelpful behaviors or thought patterns, or struggling with difficult choices and transitions. Maybe you’re caught between who you’ve been and who you want to become—and you know something needs to shift. Many of the clients I work with feel exhausted by repeating the same relationship dynamics or emotional patterns. They’re ready to stop blaming outside circumstances and start looking inward—but they want guidance on how to do that with clarity and support. If you’re open, curious, and willing to explore what’s really going on beneath the surface, I’ll meet you there. Together, we’ll work toward lasting change, self-understanding, and a more empowered way of living. I am currently working with individual clients only and am not seeing couples at this time.
I use a mind-body approach to support healing on all levels—mental, emotional, physical, and even spiritual. Our thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are deeply connected, and when we ignore one part of ourselves, it can leave us feeling stuck or disconnected. With training in naturopathy, fitness, meditation, hypnotherapy, and EMDR, I help clients gently tune into the messages their bodies are sending—often discovering insight, balance, and relief they didn’t know was possible. Depending on your needs and comfort level, we might incorporate breathwork, somatic practices, mindfulness, hypnotherapy, or EMDR alongside traditional talk therapy. The goal is to reconnect with your inner wisdom, release what no longer serves you, and support lasting, meaningful change—from the inside out. Along the way, you may find yourself learning new things, seeing old patterns in a new light, and beginning to explore parts of yourself that have been waiting to emerge.
