So, how do you find the best therapist for you? That's a great question. And it's one that most people struggle with answering whether it's their first or umpteenth search. Is it the therapist him/herself, their personality, theoretical approach, or specialty? While all these factors are important, it shouldn't be your responsibility to find the best clinician; rather it's the clinician's responsibility to become the best therapist for you.
I also have a particular interest in using holistic practices to help create great results for depression & anxiety disorders as well as trauma/PTSD and other mental/behavioral conditions. These include EFT Tapping, breathing/mindfulness/meditation, and Amino Acids, etc.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker/Addiction Counselor with nearly nine years of extensive professional experience in both mental health and addiction. Further, I have a personal background in overcoming addictions as well as several mental health and learning disabilities.

I utilize a positive theoretical orientation which assumes that all individuals possess an innate desire for well-balanced emotional/mental health. I believe a person enters therapy with a strong wish, whether conscious or unconscious, to overcome obstacles and free themselves from constraints that are holding them back. I find that everyone needs a slightly different approach to accomplish these goals, so I adjust in technique for each specific challenge. I truly enjoy the experience of guiding my clients through this process and consider it a privilege to play such an important role in a person's life.

I remember a joke from sometime ago that goes something like this:
"Three friends were walking together one day, and one remarked, 'It's windy,' Another responded, 'No. It's Thursday.' Still the other answered, 'I'm thirsty, too. Let's have a cup of tea.'"
Is it that way for you sometime? Finding that you are not really being heard and understood?

Hi, I’m Sandra Martinez Silva, LCSW, a bilingual English and Spanish therapist specializing in anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions for adults and women navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, and burnout. I provide a warm, supportive, and culturally responsive space where clients can better understand their emotions, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with their values and inner strengths. I have almost 10 years of experience in this field of work. Most of it has been with the geriatric population within various settings, as well as with individuals challenged with a severe mental illness in forensic environments. I am very familiar with the impact of trauma on the life cycle. Additionally, I work with young adults navigating school-work-life-family balance, setting priorities, making challenging life decisions and developing self esteem and confidence while learning to maneuver life's ongoing challenges.
I have been in the field for twenty six years and have learned to adjust to what the client is presenting in the session to achieve a sense of safety. I work with what the client is presenting and focus on how to guide the client to work through their presenting problem. I have had a history of working with a variety of clients and cultures. I started working in a therapeutic community with at risk adolescents. I later worked with court referred gang members. From there I worked with the homeless and the LGBTQ Community on addictions. I opened a private practice in a more suburban environment.
As a child I was always very sensitive and curious about the world that surrounded me. It came natural to help people and I knew that I wanted to give back to the world at large. Just like you I suffered from some childhood wounds. My parents did the best they could with the tools they had. But due to their struggles I became a very codependent child wanting to save and fix my parents to simply gain the love I desired.
Later on I would be able to understand this cycle and name some of the patterns I lived out. People pleasing, losing myself in toxic relationships and not fully loving that little girl inside of me. Once I became a LMFT and gained the knowledge and tools necessary I was not only able to break my own patterns, I was also able to help others find joy and deep meaning in their lives.
Ultimately I specialize in helping people understand their patterns and be more effective communicators in their world. My role has been a guide and coach for my clients, providing innovative approaches based on Gestalt Method, Ancient Forgiveness Techniques, Psychodynamic Therapy, NLP and Hypnosis. I use these techniques to help my clients break patterns, many of which are fear based as a result of early childhood trauma that causes emotional issues in the present. This is deep and powerful work, and is necessary to enable a positive path to desired future. I look forward to working with you and guiding you on the path to healing and freedom.
I am a dedicated and highly emphatic therapist. My style is Eclectic therapy because it allows me to utilize multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. Mi pais de nacimiento es Nicaragua y he vivido en California por mas de 40 años.
I believe that each person is unique and their experiences and needs are also unique and that’s why I use the technique that will fit the moment and the need. I am very flexible and will explain what and why I am utilizing the approach at the moment. I believe that patients already bring the answers or solutions within and my job is to help them identify their strengths and to work through their weaknesses. I have been working in the mental health field for twenty years. My personal experiences have made me the person I am today and also helped me to connect with people’s experiences. I believe in what I do because I know that people can change their circumstances all they need is willingness and a conscious personal awareness. My strengths are adults male/female (relational, self-esteem, domestic abuse, family issues, vocational, work problems/stress, couples, PTSD, trauma)., anxiety, panic attacks, trauma - PTSD. Hello, my name is David Fallon and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been licensed for about 20 years. I've worked with all kinds of individuals. I started by working with kids with behavior issues. Mostly I have worked with serious mental illness on the streets serving unhoused individuals. And I have worked with people seeking help in a one on one therapy situation. The first session will be for us to get to know each other and see if this is a good fit. I will be asking a lot of questions. Feel free to ask me any questions that come up as well. I will tell you a little bit about how I work. In the early stages, I basically follow your lead. You tell me what you want to work on, and I ask questions to understand the problem. Together we figure out ways of dealing with these problems. Sometimes it takes more than one or two or even a dozen tries to find the right things that work for you. This process is a journey, and I am here to help guide you through it. I can make recommendations, but it is up to you what you want to do and what works for you. Sometimes difficult thoughts are feelings will come up. Do not be afraid to express them when they do as the more genuine and honest you are, the more I will understand what you are dealing with. That being said, always take things at your own pace. Never feel rushed or forced to say anything you are not ready to say.

For over a decade, I’ve worked with individuals in the moderate to severe population, gaining extensive experience in areas such as trauma/PTSD, anger management, involvement with the legal system, personality disorders, crisis intervention, depression, anxiety, and self-esteem issues.
I strive to create a collaborative, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My therapeutic style is grounded in client-centered, choice theory, and humanistic approaches, with a strong emphasis on viewing the mind and body as an integrated whole.
I take an eclectic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of theoretical orientations to tailor the therapeutic experience to each individual. No two clients are the same, and I believe in honoring your unique needs, goals, and strengths throughout the healing process.
This isn’t just my profession; it’s my passion. I'm here to help you heal, grow, and move forward with confidence.

Hello, I'm Aleisha, a licensed marriage and family therapist with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). With extensive experience working with high-acuity dual-diagnosed individuals in community settings, I've developed a unique expertise in tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet the complex needs of this population. My approach to therapy is centered around establishing a strong, supportive therapeutic alliance, creating a safe and protective space for individuals to explore their challenges and work towards their goals. Through this collaborative process, I've helped numerous individuals improve their overall mental health, address impairments in functioning, and develop effective symptom management strategies. My goal is to empower individuals with the tools and support they need to navigate life's challenges and achieve lasting growth and well-being.
My name is Jared and I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California. I have 6 years of professional experience as an individual therapist, family therapist and clinical case manager. My expertise is helping reduce maladaptive behaviors, anxiety, stress, depression, family conflict, coaching parents, increasing motivation, building a healthy self-esteem, and being self-efficient.
My hope is to build a safe space for you to gain insight, build self-awareness, and provide compassion to feel liberated. Therapy helps individuals recognize the roots of their suffering, let go of unhealthy attachments, and develop mindfulness. Therapy can provide a structured path to an idealized future by helping individuals heal, grow, and act with greater clarity, compassion, and responsibility.
Life can feel heavy-especially when anxiety, depression, guilt, or relationship stress start calling the shots. You don’t have to carry that weight alone. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to understand what’s holding them back and learn practical tools to move forward with confidence.
My approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in real-life change. Together, we’ll identify unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, and build healthier ways of responding to life’s challenges. Therapy with me isn’t about perfection-it’s about progress, resilience, and learning how to show up for your life with clarity and purpose.
When you’re ready to feel more empowered and less overwhelmed, I’m here to help you take that next step.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with adults (no couples) and children who feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, or disconnected from themselves. You may be doing everything you can to keep going—showing up for work or school, caring for others, and managing daily life—while quietly carrying anxiety, sadness, anger, or deep exhaustion. Sometimes your reactions feel bigger than expected. Sometimes life just doesn’t feel like it used to.
I specialize in trauma-informed care and understand that these experiences are not signs of weakness. They are often signs that your mind and body have been working hard to cope. I believe healing happens when you feel safe, understood, and supported at your own pace.
In our work together, I offer a calm and steady presence. Therapy with me is not about pushing you to “just move on” or forcing change before you’re ready. It’s about slowing down, listening to what your mind and body are holding, and creating space for relief and clarity. My role is to walk alongside you as you regain a sense of stability and reconnect with the part of you that holds resilience, strength, and the capacity for joy—even if that feels far away right now.
