Hello, I remember a joke from sometime ago that goes something like this: "Three friends were walking together one day, and one remarked, 'It's windy,' Another responded, 'No. It's Thursday.' Still the other answered, 'I'm thirsty, too. Let's have a cup of tea.'" Is it that way for you sometime? Finding that you are not really being heard and understood? I get it! I work with clients to help them find their strengths and abilities that assist them in better communicating their needs to themselves and to others which can lead to better outcomes in overall functioning in their lives. In our first session together, we begin with brief introductions, reason for entering therapy, goals, and history in order to develop a plan that offers change.
My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to connect well with the individuals with whom I work.
With many years of life experience, the population I am best positioned to serve is that population of individuals who are 40 years old and over, those who have a desire for change, and those who begin to understand that change requires work.
