Hello I’m LaKeina but you can call me Keina Have you ever felt like you were drowning due to all of your responsibilities? But you have to get things done because there is no one to do what needs to be done but you. Maybe you are struggling with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, processing trauma and or adverse emotions. If so there is hope, you are not alone as I will support you and assist you with developing appropriate coping skills. Sometimes our circumstances and mental state can detour us from being our best selves. However, we are all human and can all use help and support that is consistent. Many suffer in depression, anxiety and with processing trauma. There is a way to actively manage these conditions and relieve yourself from the guilt and shame that your emotions or your diagnosis may have produced over time. It will be my pleasure to support you with identifying the source of your adverse emotions, identifying the root and then from there assist you with properly processing. Therapy with me is not a dictatorship you will take the lead as no one knows you better than you know yourself. My role is to support you, encourage you and cheer you on as you go from struggling to actively managing!

I always strive to embody cultural humility, and I am proud to serve diverse clients of all backgrounds and walks of life. I have been practicing as a psychotherapist for over 10 years. My Master’s in Social Work focused on Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality and how our different life experiences shape how we navigate our surroundings. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a veteran of the United States Armed Forces, some of my approaches to helping my clients identify their challenges and barriers to their identified problem starts with a person-centered and solution-focused approach to therapy. I recognize a client's right to self-determination, and I want to empower clients I work with to collaboratively come up with their own obtainable short-term and or long-term plans and goals for the present and the future lives they want to live. Let’s further explore together how to use better the tools you’ve been working with and perhaps add additional tools to the toolbox or not.

My approach is solution focused. I am not primarily concerned with how or why your present challenge developed but will focus instead on helping you to find a way forward. I hope to elicit and reinforce your positive attributes and competencies and help you to access your inner strength. Your ability to change or improve your situation depends on your desire to do so and my job is to awaken that desire within you. The biggest challenge all of us face is negative thinking. This is a reflection of our own disappointment of what we see when we look inside ourselves. By improving our self-image through accentuating our positive qualities we begin to see the world in a more positive light. A sure way of feeling better about ourselves is to find something good in every other human being.

I have always been intrigued about the ways our life stories and experiences shape how we see and feel about ourselves and the world. My curiosity peaked when I studied early childhood development. As a pre-school teacher, and later, an art teacher to elementary and middle school aged children, I worked closely with the children and their families. My experience in the classroom inspired me to become a therapist. My first love, however, is art making. I enjoy using colors, lights, and darks to create images. In the same way I enjoy using art materials and tools, I enjoy using and teaching clients the therapeutic tools and techniques to help them access their inner wisdom, increase their awareness and to identify and work through barriers and issues to create fuller lives and relationships.

Jungian therapy will look at the relationship of your “self” to your experiences and look at problems as a symptom of something deeper. Whether it be a thought or perception, dream, belief, value or current relationship that brings you to therapy, we'll look for what messages are coming to you from within. Tapping into your own creativity, we can use myth and metaphor, poetry, dreams, literature and art to explore your relationship to the problem.

Inquiry, or the practice of looking at our lives clearly and with integrity, is the way we learn and grow - and the same is true in therapy. The fertile ground for this can be found in the process of radical acceptance. If we are not aware and able to see and accept what is going on inside of us and outside of us, the power and integrity of inquiry is dampened. Through mindfulness and with compassion, we develop an ability to accept what is without judgment, and by doing so become more relaxed and are able to move forward in our lives with greater vision that and purpose. We cannot find our truth or our power if we are consciously or unconsciously pushing away our thoughts and feelings. In the short term that may feel better, but it ultimately supports a false sense of self and impedes the unfolding or our truer self.

I can help you develop understandings about how you are responding to your world, how you are making meaning of your life and how those meanings might be causing you to feel anxious, sad, hopeless, and frustrated. Namaste, my name is Ashwini Gupta and I am Therapist/Intuitive Life Coach specializing in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Vedanta and Mindfulness-based practices. With 20 plus of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges, I am passionate about empowering my clients to live more meaningful and fulfilling lives truly being in touch with the essence of soul identity. Using ACT as my primary therapeutic approach, I create a warm and non-judgmental space where we can work together to address difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. ACT combines mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior change strategies to guide clients towards psychological flexibility, allowing them to better handle distress and align their actions with their deeply-held values. What is ACT? At its core, ACT is a behavioral therapy: it’s about taking action. But it’s not about just any old action. First, it’s about values-guided action. There’s a big existential component to this model: **What do you want to stand for in life? **What really matters, deep in your heart? **What is the legacy do you want to create for yourself? ACT gets you in touch with what matters in the big picture: your heart’s deepest desires for who you want to be and what you want to do during your brief time on this planet. You then use these core values to guide, motivate, and inspire behavioral change. What is Vedanta? Vedanta is one of the world's oldest philosophies which affirms the oneness of existence and the divinity of the soul. A close look at the word "Vedanta" is revealing: It is the combination of 2 words: "Veda" which means 'knowledge' and "anta" which means 'the goal of'. In this context, knowledge refers to understanding one's own divine nature- meaning and purpose in life.

It has been a challenging two years. COVID came into our lives and changed the way we lived and worked. Many of us spent possibly a year or two in partial isolation, seeing only our closes friends and family members. Now, it is 2024 and we are wanting to get our old style lives back, but this transition has been difficult to accomplish. Anxiety, both social and life skill focused, along with depression, loss of self confidence or self esteem and not knowing where to begin. Many of us have anger over loss time, along with feelings or irritation at ourselves and others about how to go about putting the peices together which was once our true idenitity. Now, as you look in the mirroe, you want to begin to be the brave person you once were. You want to be social, travel and feel the joy again that life used to offer. My work and yours also, is to help you find your confidence to begin your post COVID life. COVID amy be here to stay, but as long as all the necessary precautions are taken, I understand two years is time enough to lose.

As a child I was always very sensitive and curious about the world that surrounded me. It came natural to help people and I knew that I wanted to give back to the world at large. Just like you I suffered from some childhood wounds. My parents did the best they could with the tools they had. But due to their struggles I became a very codependent child wanting to save and fix my parents to simply gain the love I desired. Later on I would be able to understand this cycle and name some of the patterns I lived out. People pleasing, losing myself in toxic relationships and not fully loving that little girl inside of me. Once I became a LMFT and gained the knowledge and tools necessary I was not only able to break my own patterns, I was also able to help others find joy and deep meaning in their lives. Ultimately I specialize in helping people understand their patterns and be more effective communicators in their world. My role has been a guide and coach for my clients, providing innovative approaches based on Gestalt Method, Ancient Forgiveness Techniques, Psychodynamic Therapy, NLP and Hypnosis. I use these techniques to help my clients break patterns, many of which are fear based as a result of early childhood trauma that causes emotional issues in the present. This is deep and powerful work, and is necessary to enable a positive path to desired future. I look forward to working with you and guiding you on the path to healing and freedom.

I help people overcome issues that might prevent them from leading healthy, fulfilled lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, and Client Focused therapy as well. It takes courage to start therapy, but I have seen those who do and apply themselves, come out with a greater understanding of self, and many times with new tools to help them relate better with others in their lives. I look forward to helping you on your “Therapy Journey.”

My name is Robert (Bob) Hehrlein; I practice psychotherapy under my California, Marriage, and Family Therapist license. I have over 15 years of experience in the behavioral health field, initially working as an addiction counselor, which led to self-employment as a recovery/life coach. After graduation from National University, I worked as a therapist for mentally ill outpatients, providing psychoeducation to groups on topics such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and mindfulness. Some of the issues that I processed with my group members involved anxiety, depression, anger management, and healthy relationships. For over two years I have provided teletherapy for a diverse clientele exhibiting a range of mild to moderate psychological symptoms. We can all feel overwhelmed when we experience one of life's hurdles. At these times, having someone to listen with empathy, and provide a non-judgmental space that promotes self-reflection, stability and growth is extremely empowering. I am passionate about helping others by utilizing a collaborative and holistic approach that incorporates evidence-based interventions, motivation, and self-acceptance.
