Paula Scallions
When you feel stuck and confused; like you have lost touch with yourself and people you care about, know this: we all feel disconnected sometimes. And we don’t have to stay in that place. I’d like to walk alongside of you and provide personalized therapy that recognizes your inherent strengths, motivation, and growth. I’d like to help you identify personal + relational values, establish boundaries, attain and count the wins, and embrace calculated risks.
First session
Our first therapy session would include a collaborative, conversation and assessment, in which I will gather information about your and challenges to create a tailored treatment plan. We will discuss your difficulties, mental and physical health history, relationships, and goals in a safe and confidential space. While some paperwork may be involved the goal is to have a judgement-free, informational conversation.
Strengths
My Greatest Strengths What people often notice about me first is my calm presence and ability to connect with just about anyone. I bring a steady, compassionate energy into my sessions and a genuine belief in people’s capacity to heal. My strengths include creating safety in moments of crisis, designing meaningful group and individual programs, and mentoring both clients and colleagues in ways that inspire growth. I’m at my best when I’m helping people find clarity, confidence, and purpose again. Therapeutic Approach & Results My approach is relational and integrative — I meet people where they are and blend evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness with a trauma-informed lens. I value collaboration, transparency, and humor when it’s helpful. Over the years, I’ve seen this approach help clients move from surviving to truly engaging in their own recovery. The most rewarding results for me aren’t just symptom relief, but watching people rediscover hope, self-worth, and connection.
