My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice for the past 8 years, and I've seen firsthand how effective it is in helping clients navigate and manage their anxiety and depression. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps clients recognize and challenge recurring negative thoughts and beliefs that often contribute to stress, depression and anxiety. Through CBT, we work together to identify the patterns of thinking that fuel your depression and anxiety. Once those thought patterns are recognized, we can begin to change them, leading to healthier emotional responses and behaviors. By altering your thought processes, CBT empowers you to better manage anxiety and stress, resulting in a calmer and more balanced life.

EMDR

I have been utilizing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) in my practice for the past 2 years, and I have witnessed firsthand how effective this method can be in helping clients navigate and manage the symptoms of PTSD and complex trauma. EMDR is a structured, trauma-focused therapy that uses bilateral stimulation—typically through eye movements, but also through tactile or auditory stimuli—to help the brain process and integrate traumatic memories. The therapy aims to reduce the emotional charge attached to these memories, allowing clients to process and reframe them in a healthier and more adaptive way. By facilitating the brain’s natural processing system, EMDR enables clients to reprocess distressing memories without the overwhelming emotional reactions they previously experienced. This often leads to a significant reduction in symptoms such as intrusive thoughts, flashbacks, and emotional reactivity.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

I’ve been using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice for the past few years, and I’ve seen its effectiveness in helping clients manage anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, and chronic pain. ACT is a research-based therapy that focuses on increasing psychological flexibility by helping clients accept difficult emotions and thoughts rather than avoiding or controlling them. It encourages taking action aligned with personal values, even in the face of discomfort. The core idea of ACT is that struggling against negative emotions can make them stronger, so it teaches clients to create space for them and focus on living a meaningful life based on their values.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to help clients understand how early relationships and life experiences may influence the way they connect with others, manage emotions, and respond to conflict or stress. Together, we explore relationship patterns, attachment needs, and experiences that may contribute to feelings of anxiety, disconnection, fear of rejection, or difficulty trusting others. I provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional security, develop healthier communication patterns, and build more secure and meaningful relationships with themselves and others.

She has been absolutely amazing, I’ve had a few therapists before but none of them have ever felt like a friend. If you are seeking help for the first time, she is very patient and caring!
