Hellooo! I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist living in Virginia. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2008.
I have lived in many different places but mostly I grew up in eastern North Carolina and Europe. Having parents from western New York and southern West Virginia, I was raised in a "northern" household in a "southern" environment. I like to think these contrasts in my life have helped me learn to adapt and identify with many different types of people. While I value the privilege of being an American, I love what other nationalities contribute to my world. Standing beside my clients and walking with them through their difficult times is one of my greatest joys.
I am a dedicated Clinical Social Worker with experience supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges. I am committed to providing structured, goal-oriented care that promotes emotional wellness, resilience, and long-term growth. I utilize evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build insight, regulate emotions, process trauma, and develop practical coping skills.
My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. With experience in clinical supervision and program oversight, I am passionate about maintaining high standards of care while empowering both my clients and clinical teams to grow with confidence and clarity.
Hi, I’m Tamar.
I take a calm, grounded approach to therapy, using reflective listening to help you gain personal insight and engage in meaningful self-exploration. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I see my role as a supportive guide and resource along the way. My style is laid-back and down-to-earth—I listen first, speak second. I also incorporate psychoeducation, somatic techniques, and mindfulness-based interventions to support healing and growth in practical, accessible ways.
If your brain never fully shuts off, you overthink everything, or you feel mentally exhausted even when life looks “fine” from the outside, you’re in the right place. I work best with thoughtful, reflective adults navigating anxiety, ADHD, burnout, relationship patterns, life transitions, and the pressure of trying to hold everything together.
My approach is conversational, direct, and insight-oriented. I don’t believe therapy is about me having all the answers. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to help you identify patterns, challenge assumptions, explore different perspectives, and uncover solutions that already fit who you are.
Clients often appreciate my open-minded approach, curiosity, and ability to create a space where they can think out loud without judgment. Therapy with me is less about being told what to do and more about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and how you want to move through the world.

As a veteran, I understand the mindset and pressures that can come with military life. Across all of my work, I aim to provide a grounded, steady presence where honesty, insight, and meaningful change can take place.
Greetings,
My name is Louise, I am located in Virginia, and I hope this message finds you well. I am married, the mother of one grown child, and the grandmother of one. I want to introduce myself as someone who is passionate about helping others overcome life's challenges. If you've experienced childhood trauma, the loss of a loved one, or are struggling with work/life balance, I would be honored to collaborate with you. Using evidenced-based tools, we can explore your biopsychosocial and spiritual world to find your resources and areas to strengthen. My goal is to help you feel more at peace and understand why you react to certain situations the way you do. During our time together, I will provide a safe, empathetic, and objective environment for you to explore these areas of your life.
With a background in teaching, biochemistry, and mental health treatment, as well as personal life experiences, I am here to help you discuss areas that are stressing you and utilize tools that will grow your toolbox.
I look forward to the opportunity to work with you. Take care!
I provide a safe space for people to share their feelings and express their thoughts. I am nonjudgmental and will listen without always having to provide immediate advice and solutions. I can sit with you in your pain and help you find ways to change your behaviors or thoughts to make you happier. I can help you figure out ways to make your relationships happier, or to just take that next step, in general. I am here to listen to you and help in any way that I can! I'm your partner! Let's navigate life's challenges as they emerge. I'm your partner that supports you in building those healthy coping skills that already exists within; a healthier version of your self. It's like my Texas sister Beyonce' says "Let me upgrade you". As the times change, we must have the ability to upgrade the manner in which we embrace and manage the impact of those changes such as changes in job, relocation, death of a loved one or family member, empty-nesters, transitioning into a caretaker role for a parent , child, or sibling.... I have an interesting educational background as I presently have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University, A Master's of Social Work from The University of New England and presently working towards a Doctorate of Psychology in Behavioral Health Leadership. In my free time I love to eat seafood and spend time with my family. I hope to partner with you soon as you are the expert of your life.
Everyone needs help from time to time. I enjoy helping people to find their strengths; their gifts, talents and abilities that they were created with. Whether you’re experiencing feelings of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or just feeling stuck, therapy can provide a safe place to work things out and find solutions that are right for you.
I find that many people are helped by connection with a therapist, someone who will listen, but also use their training and experience, bringing that into the relationship.
Shannon believes that each person is the expert of their own life, knowing what they need and having the capability to direct their own journey. Shannon is dedicated to sitting in that uncomfortable space, offering support and guidance until a place of confidence and fulfillment is reached.

Hi, I’m Samantha! I’ve been a clinician for over twelve years, and I genuinely love this work. My passion lies in helping clients tap into their strengths, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. Over the years, I’ve worked with people of all ages in schools, juvenile justice, and long-term care—experiences that have given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human spirit.
As a mom, I understand firsthand how life can be both beautifully rewarding and incredibly overwhelming. I bring that perspective into my sessions—combining compassion, curiosity, and a sense of humor with a down-to-earth, real-world approach. Outside of my practice, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, organizing (yes, it’s my version of therapy!), and spending time with my family. Fun fact: I have a degree in Philosophy and even studied Japanese in high school!
I am a compassionate and dedicated therapist who believes that meaningful change begins with feeling heard, understood, and supported. I provide a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can safely explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while working toward their personal goals. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual's unique needs, integrating evidence-based therapies such as Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR.
I enjoy helping adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, trauma, PTSD, substance use concerns, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Clients often describe me as approachable, genuine, and easy to talk to. I believe in meeting people where they are, recognizing their strengths, and helping them build the skills and insight needed to create lasting change and a more fulfilling life.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 25 years of experience helping adults navigate stress, transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Since 2011, I’ve worked in private practice supporting clients through the complexities of personal and professional life—with empathy, clarity, and a practical, solution-focused approach.
I specialize in working with busy professionals who are juggling demanding careers, life changes, and the weight of high expectations. Whether you’re navigating workplace burnout, relationship stress, anxiety, or grief, I’m here to help you find steadier ground and move forward with more balance and confidence.
I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that something isn't OK right now. That something might be new, or it might have been around a long time. You might be able to describe it perfectly, or you might just feel off without knowing why. Either way — you're here, and that's the only thing that matters right now.
I start from wherever you are. No assumptions, no judgments, no one-size-fits-all approach. Just a genuine desire to understand you — what's brought you here, what you're carrying, and what you're hoping for.
Therapy with me — whether you're coming alone or with a partner — tends to be honest and occasionally even a little lighthearted. The human experience isn't black and white, and neither is the work we'll do together. What stays consistent is that you'll have a space that belongs to you, where nothing you say or feel changes how I show up for you.
For couples, that space belongs to both of you equally. I don't take sides. What I do is help you see the pattern you're both caught in — because most of the time it's the cycle doing the damage, not each other. When that shifts, something else becomes possible.
No matter what it is you are navigating — depression, relationships, identity, or the gap between how you show up and how you actually feel inside — you don't have to have it figured out to reach out.
Welcome and Congratulations on the decision to take this next step toward a better you! Counseling is designed to be a unique setting where a person, family or couple is able to reflect on their experiences within a safe environment. When people are able to feel truly supported in therapy they work towards self-actualization and meaning. My general goal during therapy is to meet client’s where they are at while asking tough questions and challenging client’s existing mental conceptions. My overall approach is to be actively engaged with each client to promote healing, growth and recovery.
