Hey I'm Mark! I live in Nashville, Tennessee and I've been in the mental health field for 16 years. I want to break down a few walls. I am gay, I have ADHD, and am a survivor of religious trauma. I am secular and spiritual. I work with a lot of clients that share these commonalities. My main and favorite approach to the healing process is Internal Family Systems. I've worked in a variety of settings from outpatient counseling centers to high acuity in emergency rooms and psychiatric hospitals. Many of my clients may describe me as goal directed and liken me to a coach. I utilize evidence based theories and am well versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Attachment Based models. These three theories together are power house combination when it comes to understanding the universal struggle of one's suffering. They overlap together to provide a foundation for understanding the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors (CBT) that make up the many parts of self (IFS) that are acting out of fear and getting you stuck in loops (Attachment Model). My goal is to help you wake up and remember that you are your own healing agent. My motto is: 🌀 Flow like the river 💗 Act from love not fear 🙏 Be a Bodhisattva.

I am a therapist who enjoys building a relationship with my clients by finding how to best understand each other. We may not share a background, but practicing curiosity from a position of genuine interest helps me better understand the people around me and form rapid connections. I believe knowledge and language have power so that the way we think and the information we use to think help us view what we think as changeable and adjust it to be more helpful.

Welcome! I am Marie Dillinger, a licensed therapist who has been working with individuals, couples and families pursuing counseling for over 17 years. My experience has centered around assisting adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, difficulty adjusting and adapting to the changes they are experiencing in life, grief and trauma. The philosophical foundation of my therapy is based on the understanding that what we think influences how we feel which impacts how we behave. Therefore, to change any behavior or feeling we first need to address our thinking. My goal in the counseling process is to assist you in improving the quality of your life by guiding you in how to manage, resolve, and/or reconcile those issues in your life creating difficulty for you.

Hello. I’m Jamie and I’ve been a practicing therapist for many years. You may be recovering from addiction, childhood trauma, toxic relationships, or perhaps, all of these things! I also know life's problems do not come with troubleshooting instructions but I belive I know how to help people begin to effectively address them. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is trauma-informed and deeply passionate about the healing that can take place within the therapeutic relationship. I believe therapy can be truly life-changing, and it continues to amaze me what can unfold in the course of a single hour when someone feels safe, seen, and supported. At the heart of my work is the belief that life is about connection—that relationships are what give our lives meaning and are often the reason we get up each day, whether those connections are with partners, family, friends, or ourselves. My goal is to help clients strengthen these relationships, heal from past wounds, and experience greater emotional safety, understanding, and fulfillment.

At Forest Path Therapy Group, my work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling understood. You don’t need to have the “right words,” a clear plan, or everything neatly sorted out before you start therapy. You can show up exactly as you are — overwhelmed, hopeful, uncertain, exhausted, curious — and we’ll begin from there. I specialize in supporting clients who are navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship patterns, and major life transitions. My approach is trauma‑informed, relational, and grounded in evidence‑based practices. I focus on creating a space that feels steady, compassionate, and attuned to your needs, while also offering structure and guidance when you want it. Together, we’ll explore what’s been weighing on you, make sense of your experiences, and build tools that help you move forward with clarity and confidence. I see therapy as a collaborative process. You bring your lived experience; I bring clinical expertise and a calm, grounded presence. We work side‑by‑side — not from a place of judgment or pressure, but from a shared commitment to your growth. Whether you’re taking your first step into therapy or returning after time away, my goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you toward where you want to be. I bring 5 years of experience working in community mental health with children, adolescents, and adult. Clients often describe me as calm, steady, and deeply collaborative. I believe people heal in relationships where they feel understood, respected, and empowered. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. You just have to show up as you are. Learn more about Forest Path Therapy Group at https://www.forestpathtn.com

Hi there! It's so nice to virtually meet you - I don't tend to enjoy small talk and I don't find credentials to be all that interesting (LCSW in TN), so I am going to tell you some facts about myself. I believe the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship, so if we have similar interests and/or values, we may be a good fit. Here we go: - I am an unapologetic Swiftie - I hand out book recommendations and quotes like they're candy - I have a deep passion for travel - and especially get a kick out of doing it on a budget - I am a bit of a personal finance nerd, to the point of getting a certificate in Financial Social Work (that's right- that means we can work on your finances together!) - I am a big fan of social justice and human rights - I have two dogs - a chocolate lab and a boxer - I enjoy getting outdoors and into the backcountry - I always get my daily dose of reality tv Here is one of my favorite quotes: "These are the words I want on my gravestone: that I was a helper, and that I danced." Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Tennessee rather than a city like Nashville?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in Tennessee. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Tennessee from Memphis to Knoxville! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Tennessee.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What happens during the first therapy session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
