Hi, I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I received my Master's from Lamar University in Beaumont Texas. I have been practicing for less than 5 years. I am a practical, and down-to-earth individual. As a clinician, I help families, young adults, couples, and individuals by providing a safe and non-judgmental space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings. My approach to therapy is compassionate and client-centered, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping individuals navigate the lasting effects of childhood wounds, anxiety, and life's most challenging transitions. My work is rooted in the belief that true healing begins when people feel genuinely heard, respected, and safe enough to be vulnerable.
I bring a warm, direct, and collaborative presence to the therapeutic relationship. My approach blends evidence-based practices — including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and self-compassion frameworks — with a deep respect for each client's cultural background, lived experience, and unique story. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, I meet clients where they are and tailor my approach to what they actually need.
Much of my work centers on helping clients understand how early experiences — such as emotional neglect, conditional love, abandonment, and shame — continue to shape their thoughts, emotions, and relationships in adulthood. I also have a dedicated focus on men's mental health, providing a space where men can move beyond cultural expectations of silence and strength to reconnect with their emotional lives in meaningful ways.
My background includes working with individuals recovering from addiction and those rebuilding their lives after significant hardship. These experiences have deepened my belief in human resilience and the capacity for growth at any stage of life. In our work together, I aim to help you build self-awareness, develop practical emotional regulation skills, and cultivate a healthier relationship with yourself and others. My goal is not just symptom relief — it is lasting, meaningful change that reflects who you truly are and who you are becoming.
Hello!
I'm a bubbly, laid-back person who also believes in the importance of assertive communication. I love meeting new people of different cultural backgrounds.
In my practice, I enjoy working with people who are adjusting to a new life, including teenagers, young adults, and older adults. Transitions can be extremely difficult leading to trouble making decisions, worry, depression, and substance abuse. It can be difficult to function well or thrive while adjusting to life right outside of college or adapting to retirement life after a full-time career of many years. Finding your way can be an exciting journey yet also bring about anxiety you may have never experienced before.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of Texas and Colorado. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at The University of Texas at Austin and obtained my Master of Science in Counseling at The University of North Texas. I have 14 years of experience working in the mental health/substance use field and have been in private practice for 3 years.

Hello, my name is Teresa, practicing mental health for over 16 years working with the military population. Working as a middle school teacher in a lower socioeconomic area. This led to my desire to go back to school for my master’s degree in counseling psychology. Receiving my LPC licensure, led me to pursue my chemical dependency counselor license (LCDC). I began working as a substance abuse counselor with the US Army in substance abuse counseling. While working with the military I worked at a local hospital developing a program for civilians in chemical dependency. The need to work with individuals, and families including Service Members, led me to work as a contractor for private corporations. During this time, I received a certification in behavioral therapy to work with the autism spectrum population. Raised as a military dependent, then wife and mother, I experienced many aspects of different personalities. I was led to understand what it means to try to hide who you are to eventually become someone you may not recognize.
The goal is to have you see, life is wonderful, we go through the storm to appreciate the sunshine. The experience developed led me to work with addiction, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health issues. We are a beautiful bouquet with different views on life. Using an eclectic therapeutic array of mental health care has allotted me to develop individual care. This concept of care is the same for couples and group therapy. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychosocial therapeutic techniques.

My background includes work in education along with earning my Master’s degree in Counseling from the The University of Texas at San Antonio. Every person has a story. The culmination of experiences in one's life shapes how they view themselves, their relationships, and the world. I have a passion for helping clients celebrate their unique strengths and gifts they share with others. With experiences in both private practice and hospitals, I have noticed a particular need for clients to separate their view of themselves from their current difficulties and circumstances. In spite of where clients may find themselves at the moment, my belief is that they have overcome every difficulty, challenge, and trauma that they have faced up to the present moment. As such, they will withstand their current circumstances, and will again declare victory.
I love providing counseling to individuals, couples, and families. I am also very passionate about men and mental health. I have observed that many men suffer in silence and feel emotionally trapped in a straitjacket. I love listening to my clients. From the first sesion, I focus on instilling hope. I want my clients to leave feeling encouraged and relieved. I do not pretend to fix my clients problem/issue(s). The research shows that when a person has a safe space to release ans someone to contain and care, a positive hormone gets release. I am here because I care. I seek to understand and empathize. I love helping those who are stressed, ancious, depressed, weary, worrying, hurting, confused, lost, sad, or hopeless. It is rewarding to me to help others release stress, improve their functioning, and overall well-being. I strongly believe in using a holistic approach. I educate my clients regarding coping strategies, coping techniques, and coping skills. Interested clients are offered educational material to review. It is my clinical perspective that the mind, body, and spirit are significant to well-being. I am very strong in my faith as a believer and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. Each individual's narrative, perspective, and voice, matters. I love helping those struggling to adapt and adjust to life stressors, transitions, and difficulties. I hold a doctorate in Marriage & Family Counseling. I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families adapt; improve communication; improve patterns of interaction; and relationship dynamics. I love what I do and I have been providing counseling to children, teenagers, young adults, couples, and families, for over 27 years.

I graduated from Liberty University with a Masters in Professional Counseling. While I'm not in session I am enjoying my life as a homeschooling mom and wife.
Hello, I'm Carrie, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with seven years of experience helping adults navigate through anxiety, depression, trauma, and the many chllenges that life presents. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and my goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes.
Throughout my career, I've worked with individuals in a variety of clinical settings, including substance use treatment, domestic violence services, intensive outpatient care, and community mental health. These experiences have strengthened my ability to meet clients where they are and provide compassionate, individualized care tailored to their unique circumstances.
My approach to therapy integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Person-Centered Therapy, and trauma-informed care. Together, we'll explore how your experiences have shaped your current challenges, build practical coping skills, and work toward goals that align with your values and the life you want to create. Whether you're seeking support during a difficult season or are ready to begin a deeper healing journey, I'm committed to walking alongside you every step of the way.
I believe talk therapy is a power tool. It can heal. It can empower. It can bring about the kind of changes you seek. In order for talk therapy to really work, you must feel connected to and trust the therapist you work with so I encourage you to find the right fit. We will start where you are and, together, we will explore new ways of making your life more manageable. To struggle is to be part of the human experience. Struggle can be a motivator for change. Those self-defeating thoughts are not who you are. These life circumstances do not have to define your whole life.
