My Background
As someone who personally embraces a journey of mental and emotional health, I am
thrilled that you, too, value your own. Welcome to your greater!
When asked why I have chosen this field, I always respond with, “It chose me”. I was
chosen to enter my own healing process and then pursue higher education at Sam
Houston State University to professionally qualify my purpose. I obtained my Bachelor's
of Science (2005) and Master’s (2009) degrees both from the illustrious college. Since
that time I have developed my skill set by working with individuals, couples, and families
in a variety of settings that include outpatient psychiatric programs/hospitals,
Department of Family and Protective Services, and array of private practices.
My goal is to create a warm, open space where you can explore your feelings and thoughts without fear of judgment. It's completely normal to feel a bit nervous about seeking help. It's not every day that we open up about our deepest fears or worries. But remember, you're not alone in this journey.
Whether you're working through anxiety, self-doubt, or a desire for personal growth, my approach blends evidence-based tools with genuine connection to help you reclaim your story and move forward with confidence.
My aim is to help ease the symptoms, but more importantly, to help you build a solid foundation so you can face life's challenges head-on. The goal of our sessions? To nurture positive change, reduce feelings like anxiety, anger, guilt, and shame, and ultimately help you navigate life with more clarity, peace, and well-being.
I am committed to supporting you throughout your healing journey by providing a safe place that is non-judgmental, encouraging, and supportive as you navigate through the difficult moments of your life. Striving to help you gain insight about the problems hindering you from living your best life possible, address unhelpful beliefs, thoughts, and patterns of behavior, and implement new ways of coping through life’s issues. With compassion and understanding, we collaborate to determine the most effective approach to treatment.
If you're feeling sad or depressed, more irritable or angry with those around you, have difficulty bonding with your baby, anxious or panicky, problems sleeping, having upsetting thoughts that you can’t get out of your mind? There is no reason to continue to suffer alone or in silence. We can help walk beside you towards your healing journey.

I believe talk therapy is a power tool. It can heal. It can empower. It can bring about the kind of changes you seek. In order for talk therapy to really work, you must feel connected to and trust the therapist you work with so I encourage you to find the right fit. We will start where you are and, together, we will explore new ways of making your life more manageable. To struggle is to be part of the human experience. Struggle can be a motivator for change. Those self-defeating thoughts are not who you are. These life circumstances do not have to define your whole life.
Grief can be overwhelming. It can be sad and lonely when you miss a loved one so much. I can help you through the sadness to be able to live in the next season of your life with peace and joy.
Does this sound familiar?
You want to move past the sadness and grief but instead you feel:
● Like you should be further along in your grieving
● Crying more than you think you should be
● Overcome with sadness and longing of what life was like
● Feeling like everything is moving forward while you are at a standstill
● Afraid of change and the unknown
● Do your thoughts begin to spiral
● Grieving the loss of a relationship - romantic, with family members or friends, complicated relationships with family whom are still alive
● Grieving the loss of a loved one – parents, child, significant other
You may be finding yourself short or easily frustrated with your spouse, children, family, co-workers, difficulty focusing at home or work, crying more than usual and feeling sad/lonely.
Life doesn’t have to stay this way.

Hi! I'm Veronica, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 15+ years of experience. My professional career has centered around supporting individuals through life transitions and address ways to practice better self care , build coping skills and live the lives they envision for themselves . I am a Perinatal mental health specialist (including pregnancy, postpartum, infertility, pregnancy loss, and reproductive challenges) and trained in both Cognitive Behavior therapy and Interpersonal Therapy-so whatever phase of life you find yourself in, you'll find support, care, and understanding in our time together
Part of what led me to become a therapist was my own experience of how difficult it can be to find meaningful, accessible support when you need it. Navigating my own mental health journey helped me recognize the importance of having someone who truly listens, understands, and shows up consistently. I became a therapist because I wanted to be that person for others, to help ensure people don’t feel alone or unsupported when they’re seeking help. Throughout my life, a wide range of personal and professional experiences have shaped who I am today and strengthened my ability to genuinely connect with others.
I worked in a community mental health agency, where I gained extensive experience across multiple areas of mental health. Although the work was demanding, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve individuals in various capacities and settings. That experience helped shape my clinical foundation and reinforced my commitment to this field. Along the way, I have learned to embrace my own neurodivergence and mental health experiences and use them as sources of insight, self-awareness, and strength.
I am a mother of three children, and my experiences as a parent have deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, advocacy, and emotional complexity. My oldest child is also neurodivergent and lives with complex congenital heart disease, which has required multiple heart surgeries. These experiences, along with navigating remarriage and a second journey through IVF, have given me a profound appreciation for uncertainty, grief, hope, and perseverance. They have also strengthened my capacity to sit with others through difficult, vulnerable, and emotionally layered experiences. I share this to give you a sense of who I am and how I approach therapy, and to reflect the values of presence, compassion, and authenticity that guide my work with clients.

I grew up in a culture where mental illness wasn’t something you talked about. Emotional struggles were ignored, hidden, or minimized. I was taught that sharing feelings was a weakness — that being strong meant staying silent. That experience shaped me. Today, I’m passionate about helping people unlearn those harmful beliefs and start living with more freedom, clarity, and emotional honesty. I want to help end the stigma associated with mental illness.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico, and I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling. I’ve spent years working with adults, couples, and families — helping people reconnect with themselves and each other. I approach clients with the an open mindset, looking to explore what the client needs and what they want for themselves. I always want my clients to know there is no judgement from me in their decisions, EVER. I view everyone's mistakes as us just being human and having a human experience. This practice of examining our human journey and what motivates us to do the things we do is extended to myself, my clients and my children/family. I often attempt to have the practice of asking myself "why did I do that? Did I do that because of this or because I was feeling blank?" I think it is important to help others get to the place where they ask themselves the same type of questions. We're all here just having human experiences!

Hi, I’m Sandy Crisp. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and I help adults and teens who are facing challenges like complex trauma, PTSD, addiction and recovery, chronic health issues, anxiety, depression, and feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Before I became a trauma therapist, I went through my own journey that included multiple surgeries and years of rehabilitation. That experience gave me a deep understanding of what it’s like to live with invisible pain -- physical and emotional -- and how hard it can be to feel seen and supported while you're trying to hold everything together. It changed how I listen, how I connect, and how I support people in their healing.
In addition to being an LPC, I’m a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist. I specialize in:
• Complex trauma and PTSD
• Addiction, substance use, and recovery support
• Chronic pain and chronic illness
• Anxiety, panic, and mood disorders
• Grief, loss, and adjustment to life changes
• Co-occurring disorders
• Disability Affirming Care
• Limb Loss Support
• Navigating identity, self-worth, and personal growth
My approach is warm, nonjudgmental, and collaborative. I blend clinical tools with a human touch because healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. Whether you're navigating something recent or something that's been with you a long time, we’ll work together to help you feel safer in your body, clearer in your mind, and more connected to yourself.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology/sociology in 1996 and her master’s degree in counseling psychology in 2005. Her professional calling and ministry of help have been shaped by both clinical training and lived experience with trauma.
Maudlyn specializes in trauma-focused care, including intergenerational trauma, anxiety, depression, and mood-related concerns. She approaches healing as a scientist of the soul, helping individuals explore emotional, relational, and spiritual wounds, reinterpret painful experiences, and develop healthier internal narratives that restore safety and stability.
Inspired by Jeremiah 8:22 and Psalm 1, Maudlyn integrates faith with evidence-based practice. She is EMDR trained and views this work as clearing emotional and spiritual blockages so wounds can heal and lives can become rooted, resilient, and whole.
She walks alongside her folks with compassion, offering a space for reflection, restoration, and peace. Her folks are reminded they are not defined by the words of others, but by their Creator—my folks are a Designer Originals. WELCOME HOME!
