New to Grow
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), National Certified Counselor (NCC), and Army veteran dedicated to helping adults navigate stress, trauma, anxiety, substance use concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I work with individuals seeking clarity, resilience, and meaningful personal growth through a supportive, practical, and goal-oriented approach tailored to their unique experiences and strengths. My counseling style is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on helping clients develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create lasting positive change in their personal and professional lives.
During our first session, we will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, current challenges, and any important life experiences that may be impacting your well-being. My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and judgment-free. Together, we will begin identifying practical strategies, strengths, and goals while creating a plan that feels supportive, realistic, and personalized to your needs. You do not need to have everything figured out before starting therapy our first session is simply a starting point for understanding where you are and where you would like to go.
My greatest strengths are my ability to build genuine connections, create a safe and supportive environment, and provide practical strategies clients can apply in everyday life. As a military veteran and experienced counselor, I understand the impact of stress, leadership pressure, trauma, and life transitions on emotional well-being and relationships. I combine evidence-based approaches such as CBT, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and person-centered counseling to help clients gain clarity, improve coping skills, strengthen relationships, and create lasting change.
I work best with adults navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, relationship challenges, leadership pressure, life transitions, and personal growth. Many of my clients are veterans, professionals, first responders, or individuals balancing demanding responsibilities while trying to improve their mental and emotional well-being. I provide a practical, supportive, and goal-oriented approach focused on helping clients gain clarity, build resilience, improve relationships, and create meaningful change in their daily lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify unhealthy thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical coping strategies for everyday challenges. My approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and focused on helping clients create measurable changes in areas such as anxiety, stress management, relationships, trauma responses, and life transitions. I tailor CBT techniques to each client’s personal experiences, strengths, and goals while creating a supportive and nonjudgmental environment.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
I use a person-centered approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel safe enough to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences openly. My role is to provide empathy, authenticity, and encouragement while helping clients build confidence, self-awareness, and personal growth at their own pace.
Adlerian
I use Adlerian therapy to help clients understand how life experiences, relationships, beliefs, and patterns influence their current behaviors and emotional well-being. This approach focuses on personal strengths, purpose, connection, and growth while helping clients identify unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ways of thinking and relating to others. I often use Adlerian concepts to support clients working through family dynamics, self-esteem issues, leadership stress, and life transitions.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients identify practical solutions, recognize strengths, and build on what is already working in their lives. This goal-oriented approach focuses less on problems and more on creating achievable steps toward meaningful change. I work collaboratively with clients to develop realistic strategies that improve confidence, coping skills, relationships, and overall functioning.
Motivational Interviewing
I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation, and increase confidence in making positive life changes. This approach is collaborative, supportive, and non-confrontational, allowing clients to identify their own goals and values while developing healthier behaviors. I commonly use Motivational Interviewing when working with clients experiencing stress, behavioral challenges, life transitions, substance-related concerns, or difficulties maintaining change.
