I love listening to people's stories. And we all have powerful stories shaping our lives. I began my career in social services as an educator and moved into mental health, feeling compelled to address larger systems of wellbeing. I have worked, volunteered and supported schools, universities, hospital systems, crisis centers, and non-profits. These professional and personal experiences have given me a broad scope of practice and intersected with different populations. I was raised between the United States and Mexico and am fluent in Spanish and learning beginning Urdu/Hindi. I identify as a cisgender, straight Latina woman and a person of color with a soul for social justice and decolonizing mental health. I have a deep appreciation for native world views and Eastern spirituality, which will often find their way into my practice. I am also certified to teach yoga and facilitate the art of breathwork and meditation

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

We will begin by identifying goals for yourself and/or your chosen community. This will be our guiding star as we navigate your life's challenges. Expect a space where you are seen, heard, and respected — where your experiences matter. Our work will help you understand yourself better, advocate for your needs and those whom you feel connected to and develop the strength to thrive.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My therapeutic style is compassionate, inclusive, and holistic. I believe that emotional health is connected to personal identity and the broader social context. We’ll work through practical strategies to manage stress and may explore how social factors — like race, sex, culture, power — shape your experiences. Our therapy thrives on vulnerable conversation, with support from different kinds of activities to process, reflect and break through blocks, keeping in mind the client's age, personality and issue at hand. We may also harness the quiet power of breathwork, yoga and meditation.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work with adults, children ages 10+, and immigrant and multicultural communities seeking holistic, culturally responsive mental health support. I support people navigating stress, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, acculturation, family challenges, identity exploration, or emotional overwhelm while balancing the demands of everyday life. My practice is especially supportive for individuals who want a space where their cultural background, lived experiences, and personal values are understood. Also, for clients who are drawn to mindfulness, mind-body wellness, personal growth, and community-centered care
