I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the states of Oklahoma and Texas. I received my Masters Degree from Oral Roberts University and have been practicing for 8 years. I help people quit settling for the lives they have and start crafting the lives they dream of. This forward movement helps people become unstuck and often significantly reduces anxiety and depression.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Houston, Texas with extensive experience in mental health treatment across diverse populations, especially ethnicity, gender, age, religious, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status. My journey in the mental health field began during my undergraduate studies, where I first became involved in victim advocacy. This experience deepened my understanding of social dynamics, (in)justice and human behavior, leading to dual bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Women’s Studies.
While pursuing my graduate degree, I worked at the National Domestic Violence Hotline, further honing my skills in crisis intervention and critical thinking/problem-solving . After earning a Master of Science in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, I completed a post-graduate fellowship focused on psychiatric rehabilitation of veterans with severe mental illness.
I further advanced my clinical skills when joining The Menninger Clinic staff, where I spent five years specializing in the treatment of business professionals facing mental health crises, young adults navigating the transition into adulthood, and clients experiencing severe mental health challenges, including suicidal ideation.
During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, after recognizing the urgent need for increased access to mental health care I established my private practice, Therapy by Ivy, PLLC. Since then I have offered individual telehealth sessions to adult clients seeking to improve their mental health and enhance their lives. In 2023, I expanded my practice to include in-person sessions while continuing to provide telehealth sessions. Based in the Houston Heights area, I am proud to offer flexible session options, accept most major insurance plans, and self-pay sliding fee for the uninsured or underinsured.

My name is Elizabeth and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the states of Texas and Arizona. I am also a certified school counselor and transitioned to full-time mental health counseling after working as a high school counselor. I have been working as a counselor for 10 years, primarily in the school setting. I helped my students with issues such as family problems, academic struggles, relationship issues, trauma/abuse, ADHD, autism, depression, anxiety, perfectionism, grief, and suicidal ideation. Before working as a counselor, I was an elementary teacher for 6 years. I have experience working with adults and adolescents. I love seeing my clients understand themselves better and improve their mental health. I feel comfortable counseling people from a variety of backgrounds, especially those whose backgrounds are different than my own. My entire professional career has been spent with a primarily Hispanic population, but I am comfortable with other cultures, as well. I am a big fan of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Solutions-focused therapy, but I try to cater my counseling to each client, so I often incorporate different counseling philosophies as needed. I believe my clients are the experts on their own lives and I want to work with them to improve their contentment, coping skills, and mental health. I believe it is important and beneficial to have a nonjudgmental, unbiased person to talk to. This is one of the best parts of counseling. I often use humor to lighten the mood when counseling. I find this helps grow my relationships with my clients. Congratulations on making the first step towards getting help. I would love to work with you.
Hi! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas and I graduated from Texas A &M University-Commerce with my Master's in Counseling. I have about 10 years of experience assisting children, adolescents and young adults struggling with anything from anxiety and depression to coping with symptoms of trauma. I have helped children and families in both private and educational settings.
I am a warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth therapist who believes therapy works best when clients feel genuinely safe, heard, and understood. I strive to create a space where people can show up as they are without feeling judged, rushed, or expected to have everything figured out.
My approach is rooted in connection and collaboration. While I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic and nervous-system-informed techniques, and trauma-informed care into my work, I primarily work from a person-centered perspective, meaning I tailor therapy to each individual rather than taking a rigid or one-size-fits-all approach.
I enjoy working with adolescents and adults who may be navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, stress, or self-esteem struggles. Many of my clients are thoughtful, sensitive, high-functioning people who are used to carrying a lot internally and are looking for both practical support and a deeper understanding of themselves.
I believe healing often begins with having a space where you no longer feel like you have to hold everything together alone. My goal is to help clients feel supported while building insight, confidence, emotional resilience, and meaningful change in their lives.

Break the generational cycles that compromise your clarity and presence. I provide a framework to navigate the 'unwritten rules'—the inherited expectations and family scripts—that drive burnout. We move beyond venting into a structured roadmap, designed to optimize your mental capacity for your family, your career, and your future stewardship.
This approach is for those who feels the weight of performance and expectations. We focus on Relational Integrity: the ability to be the person you want to be even when the pressure is high. We audit the 'Family Playbook'—the silent rules we grew up with that dictate how we handle conflict, pressure, and connection today. By understanding these blueprints, we don't just solve for stress; we restore the stability and quality of your home. It’s about moving from 'white-knuckling' your way through the day towards a reliable, clear-headed presence for the people who matter most.
Whether you are navigating burnout, career stress or simply trying to be a more grounded parent and partner, our sessions are a straightforward collaboration. I offer a space that is objective, structured, and goal oriented. We aren't here to dwell on the past; we are here to understand it so you can move forward with purpose and clarity. This is about ensuring the environment you’re building is one of stability and reliability.

Instead, I am a Mexican-American English/Spanish speaking Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor practicing since 2017. I was inspired to work in this field due to many hardships growing up. Hello, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the states of Texas and Tennessee with 30 years of counseling and ministry experience. I began as a minister of the Gospel in the Southern Baptist tradition in 1993 working with the homeless to overcome the struggles of addiction and hopelessness in North Carolina and Tennessee. From there, I became a case manager in a rural oupatient behavioral health clinic helping the chronically mentally ill live independently outside of the institutional settings. As my family of five children grew, my wife encouraged me to join the military in 2007 and for the next 13 years we served alongside our Soldiers and their Families as a chaplain. There, I learned through experience how to work through the stress of multiple transitions, the unyeilding demands for time and energy, and the unjust nature of toxic environments. I learned how to support those who wanted to strengthen themselves and their relationships in these environments and to ultimately be at peace with who they are and who they want to be.
As I have matured in my training and become licensed in marriage and family therapy, I have found that I now specialize in using Solution Focused therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help individuals identify their strengths and the beliefs that are guiding their behavior. With this knowledge, people can begin to choose who they want to be.

This led to my desire to go back to school for my master’s degree in counseling psychology. Receiving my LPC licensure, led me to pursue my chemical dependency counselor license (LCDC). I began working as a substance abuse counselor with the US Army in substance abuse counseling. While working with the military I worked at a local hospital developing a program for civilians in chemical dependency. The need to work with individuals, and families including Service Members, led me to work as a contractor for private corporations. During this time, I received a certification in behavioral therapy to work with the autism spectrum population. Raised as a military dependent, then wife and mother, I experienced many aspects of different personalities. I was led to understand what it means to try to hide who you are to eventually become someone you may not recognize.
The goal is to have you see, life is wonderful, we go through the storm to appreciate the sunshine. The experience developed led me to work with addiction, anxiety, PTSD, and many other mental health issues. We are a beautiful bouquet with different views on life. Using an eclectic therapeutic array of mental health care has allotted me to develop individual care. This concept of care is the same for couples and group therapy. Some techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and psychosocial therapeutic techniques.
