Finding the right therapist can be a journey in itself and connecting with your therapist is imperative. I offer services for depression, grief, anxiety, stress, career & workplace difficulties, women's issues, postpartum anxiety, anger management, and coping with life changes. Nutrition is also a key player in some mental wellness issues and I feel is very important to assess. My approach provides empathy, engaged listening and behavior change support as part of my therapy style. I am licensed in both Iowa (MHC License 123416) & Texas (LPC 62282) as a counselor. I look forward to supporting you.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Sometimes clients do not know what to expect in the first session. I find it important to establish rapport first and foremost, facilitate a comfortable environment and gain basic information to help develop a direction to start.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Unconditional regard is very important in assisting someone in their struggle. I feel it is imperative to provide a neutral environment with empathy and engaged listening in order to create a therapeutic environment. I strive to provide this in all client relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I find my approach best supports clients who are looking for support, utilize the psychoeducation provided in session, and put effort into engaging in the session. I enjoy helping clients and try to meet each one where they are at on their journey to assist in progress forward.

Psychoeducation

I believe it is imperative for clients to understand their struggles and how to assess them, improve those struggles and put that into action. I enjoy facilitating psychoeducation for clients and supporting them through growth.
