Hi, I’m Myrakle Betancourt, LCSW. I’m a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional, a doctoral candidate, and the owner of The Myrakle Space. I created this practice with one belief at the center. You deserve a space where you don’t have to hold it all together all the time, and where your growth is taken seriously, gently, and personally.
If you’re a young adult figuring out what comes next after high school, college, or a major life shift, I will work with you to sort through the overwhelm, the uncertainty, and the pressure of “having to have it all figured out.” If you’re a professional in a high-demand role, especially first responders or mental health providers, I can help you slow down, manage stress, and address burnout before it takes more from you than it already has.
If you’re coming in as a couple or a family, I’m here to help you actually hear each other again. We work on communication, understanding generational differences, and rebuilding connection in ways that feel real, not forced. And if you’re a parent or child navigating school, behavior, or emotional challenges, I focus on giving you practical tools and support so things feel less reactive and more manageable.
When you work with me, you’re not just getting strategies you’re getting a space where you can be honest about what’s really going on without judgment or pressure. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk with you as you build something healthier, steadier, and more aligned for your life.

What if you could write the story of your life? The truth is, you can, you are in control of your destiny, you are writing the story of your life right now. The choices you make are directly related to the thoughts you have. That puts you in control, you have the ability to change the way you think, and when you change the way you think, you change your life.
The thoughts you are thinking right now are writing the story of your life. If you are not happy with the story, you can reprogram your thoughts to change the story and write it the way you want it to go. Together you and I can work to manage the challenges you are facing today.
Therapy may seem scary or even overwhelming, but with the right partner you really can change your life. Together we will explore how your thoughts and the dimensions of wellness are affecting your life and find a path to change the story of your life, to one of positive emotional and mental well-being.
I have been a trauma trained therapist that has worked with teens and families for over 20 years in schools, hospitals and private practice settings. Hi there! My name is Chinh. If you’ve reached my page, chances are that your heart has been broken, you probably just had the umpteenth argument with your significant other, or maybe you’re stuck in a frustrating cycle of self-doubt, low self-esteem, and overwhelming thoughts that never seem to let up. Maybe it’s all of the above! Whatever brought you here — I’m glad you came. Let’s work through it together.
I grew up in a culture where mental illness wasn’t something you talked about. Emotional struggles were ignored, hidden, or minimized. I was taught that sharing feelings was a weakness — that being strong meant staying silent. That experience shaped me. Today, I’m passionate about helping people unlearn those harmful beliefs and start living with more freedom, clarity, and emotional honesty. I want to help end the stigma associated with mental illness.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas, Louisiana, and New Mexico, and I hold a Ph.D. in Counseling. I’ve spent years working with adults, couples, and families — helping people reconnect with themselves and each other. My approach is strength-based and holistic: I believe healing doesn’t mean “fixing” you — it means understanding you, supporting you, and helping you build the life you want.
Therapy can be hard work, but you don't have to do it alone. I offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are — without judgment. Let's rewrite your story together.

I am the oldest daughter of immigrants and a first generation college graduate. From a very young age I felt the weight of expectations put on to me by my family, society, and my culture. I became very good at taking on roles that were not mine, and quickly burned myself out. It wasn’t until graduate school that I really allowed myself to explore the root of my unhappiness. I needed to stop doing for everyone else and finally make myself the priority; I mattered too.
I now enjoy empowering individuals to find their voice and discover the freedom that comes with letting go of past hurt and behaviors that no longer serve them, and finally pursue the life they’ve always wanted.
With over 16 years of professional experience, I am committed to helping others find ways to be their best. I want you to be successful. I completed my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State College in Colorado where I enjoyed living in the San Luis Valley, taking day hikes on the weekends and enjoying the majestic mountain views.

Most people who reach out to me are tired. Tired of holding it together, tired of explaining themselves, tired of feeling like the version of them that shows up to work or family dinner isn't the real one. If that sounds familiar, you're in the right place. I'm a licensed professional counselor working with adults across Texas and Colorado on anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, relationship strain, life transitions, and the old stuff that keeps resurfacing at inconvenient moments. Expect warmth, honesty, and a real conversation rather than someone nodding at you from across the screen.
