New to Grow
Hi, I’m Christa Gibbs, M.Ed., LPC. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale—a space where you feel heard, supported, and never judged. With over 30 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families, I strive to create an environment where people feel safe enough to be honest, grow, and heal. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. I use evidence-based techniques while meeting each person where they are, helping clients build confidence, strengthen relationships, process difficult experiences, and develop the tools they need to move forward with hope. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, parenting challenges, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’ll work together at a pace that feels right for you.
The first session is simply the beginning of your journey. It’s a chance for us to get to know one another, talk about what brought you to therapy, and discuss what you hope to gain from the counseling process. There’s no pressure to have all the answers or share more than you’re ready to. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where you can be yourself, ask questions, and begin building a trusting relationship. Together, we’ll identify your goals, explore the challenges you’re facing, and create a plan that fits your unique needs. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling a little lighter, a little more hopeful, and reassured that you don’t have to navigate life’s journey alone.
My life experiences have taught me the importance of resilience, grace, and meeting people where they are. After spending more than 30 years working in education and supporting children, families, and adults through some of life’s most difficult moments, I’ve learned that healing happens through genuine connection—not judgment. I naturally create a calm, welcoming space where clients feel safe enough to be honest, but I’m also not afraid to gently challenge unhelpful patterns when I know someone is ready. I believe therapy should offer both compassion and practical tools, helping clients leave each session feeling heard, empowered, and hopeful.
I love working with clients who are looking for hope and are ready to take small, meaningful steps toward healing. Whether you’re a child, teen, or adult facing anxiety, trauma, life changes, relationship struggles, grief, or overwhelming stress, you don’t have to have it all figured out. My ideal clients are open to working together, learning new skills, and creating lasting change in a supportive, judgment-free space where they can feel safe, understood, and encouraged.
