(she/her)
I’m a licensed counselor in Texas with 14 years of experience in both private practice and school settings. As a high school counselor, I’ve worked with students, their families, and school staff, supporting clients facing challenges like anxiety, depression, self-harm, trauma, eating disorders, self-esteem issues, relationship struggles, and career decisions. My role has exposed me to a wide range of counseling areas and clients, and working with people of all ages has given me valuable insight into different life situations, helping me grow both personally and professionally in my counseling career.
In my first session, I like to get to know my client by hearing a bit about them, their family, lifestyle, and what brought them to therapy. If they feel comfortable, we might also talk about goals they’d like to work toward during our time together.
I believe that some of the strengths I have as a provider are patience, empathy, genuine care for my patients, as well as my own past experiences, and self-growth.
I feel that based on my past experiences the clients I feel I am able to best associate with are clients who may be dealing with anxiety/depression, past trauma, family conflict, career transitioning, self-esteem, and relationship issues.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, and interpersonal therapy. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.

Sandra was so awesome! She made the meeting feel like I was chatting with a friend - the biggest compliment I can give! I’m looking forward to our next meeting.
