Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin understanding your story. We’ll talk about what’s working in your life, what feels overwhelming, and what changes you’d like to see. I’ll walk you through how therapy works, answer any questions you have, and start shaping a plan that fits your needs and goals. You can expect a warm, welcoming space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and begin taking the first steps toward growth.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths are offering both compassion and clarity. I combine evidence-based approaches with a practical and relatable style, helping you explore your emotions while also learning real tools for change. Clients appreciate that I’m direct yet gentle—I provide structure, accountability, and insight while still honoring where you are in your journey. Together, we work toward building emotional awareness, healthier patterns, and meaningful, long-term progress.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, depression, relationship challenges, or simply want a neutral and supportive space to talk. My ideal clients are ready to explore their inner world, develop coping skills, and work toward healing and personal growth. Whether you’re seeking clarity, stability, or deeper self-understanding, I’m here to guide and support you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you understand how your thoughts affect the way you feel and respond to life. We’ll work together to spot unhelpful patterns and replace them with healthier, more supportive ways of thinking. I’ll offer practical tools you can use right away to ease stress, lift your mood, and navigate life’s changes with more confidence. Each session is focused, supportive, and designed to help you make steady, meaningful progress.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build practical skills for managing emotions, staying grounded, and improving your relationships. Together, we’ll focus on four key areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. I’ll guide you in learning tools that help you stay calm during stressful moments, navigate big feelings without becoming overwhelmed, and express your needs more clearly. DBT offers structure, support, and real-life skills you can begin using right away to create more balance and stability in your daily life.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help you uncover your own reasons for change and build confidence in your ability to move forward. Instead of telling you what to do, I’ll work with you to explore what matters most to you, strengthen your motivation, and resolve any mixed feelings that may be holding you back. Through open conversation and supportive guidance, MI helps you clarify your goals, recognize your strengths, and take realistic steps toward the changes you want to make in your life.
