Hi, I’m Kris. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with training in EMDR and a deep commitment to creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel truly heard and supported. Outside of my work, I love traveling with my family, getting lost in a good book on my front porch, and finding ways to be creative. I bring that same sense of curiosity, connection, and care into my work—because I believe healing happens best when we feel safe, supported, and truly ourselves.

Hi! I’m Jess! I’ve been a licensed counselor for almost 20 years, and I’ve truly loved the opportunity to walk alongside so many different people through the various times of life. One of my favorite parts of the work is getting to know someone in those early conversations. I genuinely enjoy hearing your story, learning what has brought you to therapy, and understanding the experiences that have shaped you. There’s something meaningful about getting to know the person behind the struggles they’re bringing into the room. I especially enjoy working with people who are ready to explore the possibility of change. You don’t have to have everything figured out, and you certainly don’t have to know exactly what needs to change before you begin. Sometimes it’s enough to recognize that something isn’t working the way you hoped and to feel ready—or even just curious—to see what might be different. My hope is that therapy can become a place where you feel understood, supported, and encouraged as you begin to imagine what life could look like when things start to shift.

Hi. I'm Bill. I've been working in this field since 2003 treating adults experiencing symptoms related to the anxiety disorders, depressed mood, identity and self-concept difficulties, relationship problems, life-transition difficulties, and traumatic memories. These difficulties along with other related topics that may surface during a therapy session. My therapy approach is quite straightforward, collaborative, and non-judgmental. It's structured to help you develop a healthier and happier life. We begin by identifying the circumstances that prompted you to seek therapy. Then I help you to develop skills and solutions tailored for you to help you move forward toward that healthier life. It's a collaborative approach. You and I work together through this process. From this perspective, listening is the most-important part of communication. When I genuinely listen to your experiences and concerns without judgment or distraction, I can respond appropriately to your concerns. "Right Speech begins with Right Listening." Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 22 years of experience. I really enjoy helping people navigate the challenges of changing and maintaining roles in life---exploring young adulthood, how to maintain your own identity as a parent, how to create a life worth living in whatever stage you are in. I feel like I am very open, non judgmental, eager to learn, empathetic and understanding. And funny! I am a gender affirming therapist. I am an ally in the LGB and TNC Communities, always keeping my eyes and ears open to find ways to improve my allyship. The current political climate is traumatic and oppressive to members of these Communities. I want to create space in session to discuss how that may be affecting you or retraumatizing you. I am also a member of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health. I am comfortable providing documentation for medical transition. I am very comfortable with working with those who use self harm as a coping mechanism--there is no shame or expectation you must stop when you engage in therapy. I'm fine with talking about suicide, whether it's your own personal experience of trying to find a life worth living, your experience of supporting someone who lives with suicide in their life, or grief around experiences of suicide. I do not believe inpatient hospitalization is an effective treatment for those experiencing suicide and do everything I can as a therapist to keep people out of the hospital when in suicidal crisis. I do believe therapy is political. I am social justice focused, continuing to do my own anti-racism work. I believe in Health at Every Size. I believe that our environment and what we experience in life has a profound affect on us and must be discussed in therapy.

Each person brings a unique set of experiences and challenges. I partner with you to meet you where you are and help you achieve the personal or professional goals that matter most. Whether you’re managing stress and anxiety, feelings of depression, ADHD, or navigating life transitions, I combine empathic listening with practical strategies and a touch of humor to make growth both meaningful and manageable. Many of my clients are ambitious professionals and individuals who are accustomed to striving for excellence while privately carrying stress, self-doubt, or a relentless pressure to do more. I help clients understand and work with their inner rebel, the part that resists rigid expectations, pushes back against perfectionism, and longs for greater autonomy and authenticity. Together, we can harness this part of you as a source of resilience, creativity, and lasting growth rather than viewing it as something to overcome. I’m skilled at helping you identify both clear goals and the strengths you may overlook in yourself. Even when you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or discouraged, there are always strengths and insights we can build from, and I help bring those into focus. Together, we will clarify goals, strengthen coping skills, and develop strategies that support decision-making, confidence, and emotional balance.

I can help you navigate through change: job loss, grief, family estrangement, divorce/breakup, gender exploration, working on anxious attachment or people-pleasing. Together, we can work to integrate trauma, depression, anxiety and other symptoms into a life that feels worthwhile, however you define that. There's definitely more than one path for healing, and what can look like stability to some can be uncomfortably stifling to others. I will utilize a combination of narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT/CBT skills (very optional!), feminist therapy and insight-oriented therapy to help you find your way forward. My biggest rule in therapy is "no trauma shaming." That is, if you are sharing your trauma and include a qualifier such as "other people have it worse," I will remind you that your trauma is valid! Surviving trauma is difficult enough; shame is a log lying on the train tracks. We can move it, and move forward, with the correct equipment.

"One step, one step." So, this is a phrase I often say. I use it as a reminder that we will move forward, heal, achieve our goals one step, one moment at a time. If we feel or see ourselves slip back....we reset. We move forward again one step, one step. Wellness has always been a focus in my life's work. My expertise has allowed me to work with individuals from the African Diaspora, immigrant communities, various cultures, military and those diagnosed with chronic illness. I use a holistic approach, integrating modalities such as a Client-Centered approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused and Mindfulness to achieve your goals and build an empowered, stronger and healthier sense of self. I believe that collaborating with you as an individual, learning your strengths, challenges, and identifying key coping skills together we move towards your best strategies for wellness. If you are feeling worried, depressed, scared, anxious, overwhelmed by circumstances in your daily life or new to therapy we can work together to find that balance you need.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes therapy should feel real—not overly clinical or like you have to say the “right” things. I work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and life situations that feel overwhelming or hard to manage. A lot of the people I work with feel stuck, drained, or unsure where to even start—and that’s completely okay. I’m both supportive and direct. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also help you look at patterns, behaviors, and thoughts that might be keeping you stuck. My goal isn’t just to listen—it’s to help you actually move forward. My background includes working in high-stress environments and supporting people through complex challenges, including trauma and substance use. Because of that, I take a practical, down-to-earth approach that focuses on what actually works in real life—not just in theory.

I work with women navigating life transitions, including changes in relationships, family roles, and health. These experiences can bring anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and the effects of trauma into focus, and can influence how thoughts, emotions, and the body interact. As a yoga teacher and yoga therapist for over 25 years, mindfulness is a natural part of my work and informs how I understand and approach the mind body connection. I integrate mindfulness based stress reduction, mindfulness based cognitive therapy, and somatic therapy into sessions in a way that supports awareness and emotional regulation. My training as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania, Florida, South Carolina and Delaware allows me to bring these approaches together in a way that is both clinically grounded and also responsive to your experience.

If you’ve just landed on my page, I invite you to pause. Take a deep breath. Feel your feet on the ground. Notice what your body is holding in this moment—tension, fatigue, grief, maybe even hope. You’ve already taken a brave step by being here. You’re choosing to tend to your inner life and honor your own healing. I support individuals navigating grief, loss, infertility, caregiving, and life transitions—especially when the path feels unclear or overwhelming. Together, we listen deeply to your body’s wisdom and explore what your spirit longs to express and release. Grief is not just an emotion—it’s an embodied experience, one that moves in waves. Whether you’re mourning a loved one, the loss of a dream, or a shift in your identity, we’ll approach your healing gently, with curiosity and compassion. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I create sacred, grounded space where you can slow down, feel, and reconnect. Our work together honors mind, body, and soul—inviting transformation in your own timing, on your own terms. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I am Jeff, like it says on this page. I love games of all kinds and dogs of all kinds. I sit crosslegged on chairs when I can and enjoy kneading dough for baking. I'm verbose and use words as if they were legos. I have worked in hospitals, community mental health centers, a retirement home and now I am content to be in private practice. I have experience with crises, sudden life transitions and choices that seem impossible to come back from. I'm familiar with being awkward and have experience being the outcast. I became a therapist because there were many times earlier in my life where I needed support and guidance from someone who could understand me without being judgmental or controlling. Being a strange enough person already, I never quite found someone empathetic towards my situation until meeting my first therapist - a literally life changing experience. Even with almost 10 years as a therapist, I'm certainly not claiming that I'll change your life as a guarantee just because of who I am - a therapist helped me see that so much change came about by my own efforts over the years, change that you can also be empowered to pursue. I am the sort of person that will work in your interest, work for your health when it feels like illness gets in the way. If you happen to be someone or know someone that often puts others before themselves at the expense of wants and needs for themselves, then you may know me pretty well already. Transparently, I am not using AI in any form to write anything you read here about myself or my methods.

Therapy is a great place to talk about life's problems where you can say anything and not be judged. No matter what you’re facing, talking with someone can help. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel like you’re grabbing coffee with a friend…a friend who happens to be a licensed counselor with more than 11 years of experience. In my time working as a counselor, I have helped patients manage and overcome obstacles like anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. From challenges with the overwhelming pressure of academic life, work life, career choices, relationship challenges, and more, I will be there to offer an objective perspective on your situation and provide healthy tips and resources to navigate it. My approach empowers personal growth while always ensuring you feel safe, seen, and heard. Depending on your needs, I utilize CBT, DBT, and Reality Therapy approaches in sessions. Currently, all sessions will be conducted virtually, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home and on a more flexible schedule. Let's do this together.

Hi! I'm Nikki, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Greater Pittsburgh Area that's been recognized as Marquis Who's Who Honoree Listee. I've been working in human services for 25 years starting with an Alzheimer's unit in a nursing home and intellectual disabilities in group homes to wraparound services with children that have Autism. I gained my education in psychology and counseling and began working with at risk youth in juvenile delinquency settings and now working with transition aged youth. I really enjoy helping young adults find themselves and their path in life with their personal life and professional endeavors. I've also grown with the BFRB community (body focused repetitive behavior) being recovered myself and providing outreach and advocacy. I have been featured on the Dr. Oz television show, spoken at the Pennsylvania Counseling Association, and written in the book Project Dermatillomania. My main approach is a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for general anxiety and depression and sometimes integrate expressive arts approaches for those that have difficulty expressing themselves. I specialize in OCD and am trained in Habit Reversal, ACT, COMB and ERP. I currently only offer online therapy and do not accept clients with severe mental illness, active suicidality or substance use. On a personal note, I'm married with a daughter and we enjoy outdoor activities. My hobbies include crocheting and scrapbooking. I really believe in "You are the author of your own life story" and would like to hear your story as you're the expert! I teach by my own SELF approach: S for searching your soul and what works for you, E for changing your environment from a toxic one to a healthy one, L for surrounding yourself with those that love and support you and learning to love yourself, and F for forgiving yourself for relapses.

I've always believed that most people aren't broken, they're stuck. And stuck is something we can work with. For 15 years I have worked with a wide range of people: veterans carrying wounds that never got proper attention, couples trying to find their way to a healthier relationship, individuals wrestling with OCD or trauma or habits they can't seem to shake, and families navigating transitions that turned their world upside down. I tend to be direct yet compassionate in the way approach therapy and to what my clients are dealing with. The best complement for me is when a client tells me how they felt seen and heard unlike they have had previously. I have a particular place in my heart for those living between worlds - racial minorities, expats, and members of immigrant communities who are navigating the push and pull of various socio-cultural forces. I understand that experience from the inside, not just from a textbook. If you are someone who is ready to engage honestly and wants a clinician who will meet you with both expertise and genuine care, please reach out.

I am a licensed professional counselor with over 12 years of clinical experience and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision. My work is grounded in existential therapy, with a particular focus on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals as they navigate identity, meaning, grief, and life transitions. I believe deeply in the capacity for LGBTQ+ people not just to survive, but to thrive, and my passion lies in walking alongside clients as they explore what a more authentic and fulfilling life can look like for them. My approach is thoughtful, reflective, and relational. Rather than positioning myself as an expert with answers, I join clients as a fellow traveler. I approach each encounter as curious, present, and attuned, creating space for exploration, understanding, and self-compassion.

Hi, I'm Cory Ian Shafer, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with my Masters in Counseling. I have been practicing professionally in the counseling field since 2005 and have worked in the mental health field since 1999. I approach therapy primarily as a Jungian-Existentialist, however, I also realize that many clients may need different approaches to achieve their success, and because of that I also incorporate an eclectic approach towards therapy in addition to my primary school of thought, therefore I can utilize many different modalities and approaches of therapy depending on the what you need in your sessions. My specializations are working with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction and grief counseling. I also like to write a little bit and have published a few books concerning the human condition. On the personal side of things I lead a simple and quiet life, where I enjoy reading history, science fiction and philosophy books, playing the bass guitar, listening to music, traveling and amateur astronomy. www.coryianshaferlpc.com

I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. With more than 25 years of experience as a therapist and wellness professional, I bring a compassionate, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach to helping clients navigate life's challenges particularly around issues with food, diet/binge cycling, body image, self-esteem, and relationships. Clients often tell me they appreciate my warm, genuine style and my ability to balance empathy with practical guidance. I create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and patterns at your own pace while feeling supported and empowered throughout the process. My work is grounded in the belief that emotional and physical well-being are deeply connected. In addition to my training in social work and psychotherapy, I have specialized training in intuitive eating and functional wellness, which allows me to take a whole-person approach to healing. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-worth, emotional eating, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself, I help you uncover the root causes of your challenges while building practical tools for lasting change. I don't believe therapy is about fixing what's wrong with you. Instead, it's about helping you reconnect with your strengths, gain insight into patterns that may be holding you back, and create a life that feels more aligned with who you truly are. We will work through your personalized goals to help you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention. I believe true health is not built through perfection or extremes, but through sustainable habits, self-awareness, and learning how to work with your body instead of against it. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood, empowered, and capable of building a healthier, more balanced life that genuinely feels good to maintain.
