Welcome! My name is Dru Bleem. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have 10+ years of experience in the counseling field. I am currently certified as a Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist and a Certified Professional Trauma Specialist. I work with ages 5 and up in person and via telehealth. Ideally, I prefer to see the children in person as I feel that I can utilize play therapy more effectively in the office. The modality I use is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on thoughts, feelings, and our behaviors. I am non traditional in the sense that I recognize not one approach to therapy works for everyone and I don't always need to be sitting in my chair to provide effective counseling. I believe movement is healing and at times you will see me move about the office and encourage movement in your life.
In your first session you can expect to learn a bit more about me. This is ideally to ease any nerves you may have and to help you get an idea for my personality and if you feel as though we will be a good fit to work together. I will go over expectations, confidentiality, gather background information from you, and leave room for you to ask any questions you may have.
My biggest strength as a counselor is being able to help clients realize their true potential as well as create a safe space for clients to be heard, explore thoughts, and develop trust. I love working with clients who are feeling stuck in their self growth and want to find their true potential. My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. They often feel stuck, overwhelmed and anxious about their careers.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more balanced, empowering beliefs. This approach not only supports emotional healing but also equips you with practical tools to navigate everyday challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

She is amazing. She knows how it feels to go through domestic abuse and it makes her very relatable. She is warm and caring and provides many helpful tools. I am not sure how I would have gotten through this time in my life without her help and support.

I have improved my self-perception and capabilities while remaining grounded. I am incredibly thankful for Dru and this entire journey.
