I’m a licensed therapist who provides a supportive and collaborative space for clients to explore their emotions, challenges, and personal growth. I use a blend of evidence-based approaches—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Structural Family Therapy—to help individuals develop insight, build coping skills, and improve relationships. My goal is to empower clients to navigate life with greater clarity, self-compassion, and confidence.
In our first session, you can expect a warm, down-to-earth space where you’re encouraged to be yourself. We’ll talk about what’s been on your mind, what led you to seek support, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. I’ll ask a few questions to better understand your background, but there’s no pressure—we’ll move at your pace. My goal is to create a vibe that feels safe, supportive, and real so you can feel grounded and understood from the very beginning.
I believe my greatest strengths as a provider are my ability to connect with clients on a personal level and create a space where they feel truly heard and understood. I’m highly empathetic and non-judgmental, which helps clients feel safe to open up about even the most difficult topics. At the same time, I’m straightforward but not intimidating. I communicate honestly and clearly, without sugarcoating, which creates a space where you can feel challenged to do better, but not pushed away. I bring a flexible and tailored approach to therapy, using a mix of evidence-based techniques that meet clients where they’re at—whether they need support, skills, or just a space to vent and process. My clients appreciate my honest, authentic, and collaborative style—working together as a team toward their goals. Ultimately, my goal is to help you reach your full potential while feeling heard, valued, and safe throughout the process.
I am best positioned to serve clients who are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges. I specialize in working with individuals who may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected—especially those from diverse cultural backgrounds, creatives, and those processing trauma or family dynamics. Clients who benefit most from our work are often verbal processors, open to reflection, and ready to build greater emotional awareness, healthier boundaries, and more meaningful connections.
I regularly use CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to emotional distress. I guide clients in exploring the relationship between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, particularly in moments of anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional dysregulation. For example, when a client expresses defeatist language such as “I’m trying,” I help them explore the cognitive distortions behind that statement and reframe their self-talk. I also encourage goal setting and follow-through, reinforcing behavioral activation as a way to manage depressive symptoms and increase agency.
I take a person-centered approach by emphasizing unconditional positive regard, empathy, and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. I provide a nonjudgmental, collaborative space where clients feel empowered to explore their identities, values, and emotional experiences. This approach supports clients in developing self-awareness and self-acceptance, particularly helpful for those navigating family expectations, cultural tension, or significant life transitions. My role is to hold space while clients lead the direction of their healing process.
I incorporate mindfulness techniques to assist clients in managing symptoms of anxiety and emotional dysregulation. This includes teaching grounding skills such as focused breathing, sensory awareness, and present-moment orientation. I have used these interventions in real-time processing, such as helping a client debrief a panic episode where they utilized grounding strategies like running their hands under water and seated breathing. These techniques promote self-regulation and body awareness, especially during moments of overwhelm.
I practice with a trauma-informed lens, recognizing the impact of early adversity, abuse, and systemic harm on emotional and psychological functioning. I am mindful of triggers and the need for safety, particularly for clients with histories of emotional or relational trauma. This includes validating trauma responses, avoiding re-traumatization, and building trust through consistency and transparency. I work with clients to identify and manage anticipatory fear, intrusive memories, and feelings of disempowerment with compassion and care.
I incorporate principles of Structural Family Therapy to explore and shift family dynamics that may be contributing to a client’s distress. When working with youth or clients navigating complex family relationships, I assess interaction patterns, boundaries, and roles within the family system. I support clients in recognizing how hierarchical imbalances or enmeshment may impact emotional development and identity formation. When appropriate, I work with families to restructure interactions and foster healthier communication and boundaries that support individual and collective growth.
