Do you feel like something is holding you back? Getting in your way? Many people run into barriers- barriers that keep them from achieving their goals, get in the way of their relationships, or keep them from moving on. These barriers can look like anxiety, depression, trauma, communication patterns, etc. This is where I can help! I have worked with crisis services and trauma survivors my whole career; and trauma can look different for everyone! I enjoy nothing more than helping clients identify the barriers that are holding them back; constructing a plan to break it down and take steps towards doing so.

I am a licensed clinician with 14 years of experience in substance use treatment and 4 years in mental health counseling, dedicated to supporting individuals through trauma, addiction, and emotional challenges. I provide a Person-Centered, holistic approach that integrates CBT, DBT skills, Trauma-Informed care, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused techniques to help clients create meaningful and lasting change. I serve individuals ages 13 and older who are experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma-related concerns, relational challenges, and low self-worth, as well as those feeling stuck in patterns of shame, self-doubt, or unhealthy coping. My work is best suited for clients who are ready to explore healing, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of identity and purpose. Through a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space, I help clients separate who they are from what they have been through, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. My goal is to support whole-person healing from the inside out—empowering clients to move from surviving to thriving with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

I graduated with my Masters in Social Work and Trauma Certificate from Simmons University in 2022. I previously worked as a crisis counselor providing care to both adults as well as children and families. During this time I saw a small caseload of adult clients until 2024 before transitioning to working as a community based therapist providing care to youth with problematic sexual behaviors. In 2025 I started to build up my caseload of EMDR clients and transitioned to office based work. I am extremely passionate about my work with EMDR and will nerd out when given the opportunity to share it. I take a holistic approach when working with clients and try to bring in body based and ego state techniques as well. I like to help make my clients feel that we are on equal footing (because P.S. I am also human) and recognize that they are the expert in their life and know themselves best. I do my best to be as transparent as possible without crossing boundaries. It is my priority when working with clients is to support them in a way that helps them feel comfortable and safe to explore themselves and achieve their goals.

If I could sit beside my younger self and tell her one thing, I would say, “You are not broken. You are responding to what you’ve been through. Be gentle with yourself. One day, the healing you are fighting for will become someone else’s hope.” Hi, I’m Cherita Griffin, MS-LPCC-S (Ohio), LPC (Georgia), NCC, CYT, SEL-F, C-DBT, CMIP, ADHD-CCSP. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervisory Endorsement, and for more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside people through some of life’s most difficult seasons. My work is deeply personal to me because I understand that healing is more than a clinical process, it’s human. It’s learning to feel safe again. It’s finding your voice. It’s setting boundaries without guilt, giving yourself permission to rest, and learning that you don’t have to keep surviving when you are ready to begin living. I specialize in supporting individuals who feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck, anxious, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying everything on their own. Together, we gently uncover what hurts, make sense of what you’ve experienced, and begin rebuilding from a place of compassion rather than shame. I integrate CBT, DBT, mindfulness, social-emotional learning, and holistic, somatic-informed practices to support the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. **Here, you don’t have to have it all together. You don’t have to carry everything alone. You can finally exhale.** Healing isn’t about becoming someone else. It’s about finding your way back to yourself—the parts of you that life may have taught you to silence, shrink, or leave behind. You are worthy of healing. You are worthy of peace. And you don’t have to walk toward it alone.

Hi, I’m Jessica Vargas LCSW, LISW and I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be honest, understood, and supported without judgment. Life can become overwhelming, whether you’re navigating relationship challenges, stress, major life changes, anxiety, depression, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. My approach is warm, compassionate, and practical. I work collaboratively with each client to understand what is happening beneath the surface while developing realistic tools and strategies that can create meaningful change. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy. Your experiences, goals, and strengths are unique, and our work together should reflect that. I work with teens, adults, and couples who may be struggling with emotional challenges, relationship concerns, communication, self-esteem, life transitions, family conflict, stress, or other challenges that are making it difficult to feel like themselves. For couples, I provide a supportive space to improve communication, understand patterns within the relationship, and work toward a healthier connection. As a therapist, I strive to create an environment where you feel comfortable being yourself—even when things feel messy or difficult. My goal isn’t simply to help you get through a challenging moment, but to help you better understand yourself, build confidence in your ability to cope, and develop skills that continue to serve you beyond therapy. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. If you’re ready to make a change, I’m here to help you take that first step.

I am an art therapist and LPCC-S (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor - Supervisor). I have been working in the mental health and addiction world for over 20 years. I have had the pleasure of joining forces with children from the age of 3, to children the age of 87. I come from a family that has a long line of veterans and first responders. I have a strong passion for supporting our veterans and first responders but am open to partnering with anyone wanting assistance in life. I welcome any in person sessions as I am very much an empath and thrive when I can feel each person’s emotions in person. I own my own practice, Freedom Wellness Center LLC, in Canal Fulton, Ohio. The link to my website is at the bottom of this page. If you have Medicaid insurance, you must contact me first to schedule an appointment with me. I have had a high amount of people not showing for their appointments and had to put a hold on all new Medicaid referrals until I can speak to you in person first to ensure you are serious about attending your appointments.

I'm Cat, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I'm a Millennial Mom of 3 with some scrappy life experiences myself. I've worked extensively with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sex trafficking, and complex trauma. My approach is a great fit for teens and women who want to have a place where they can be completely real, to unpack whatever they need to, and feel accepted by someone who truly believes things will get better. Many of my Clients have lived through serious betrayal and felt confused, absent, or unhinged by what happened. Then they come to therapy because they've been living life "at a 10" and want hope that they don't have to be this mad, this triggered, or this impacted anymore. I help Clients understand why this is happening and how to move forward in a way that feels strong and sure. For clients who desire it, I can integrate Biblical counseling. I'm well-versed in a variety of disciplines due to what life has demanded of me for my own recovery and wellness. I have spent time as a personal trainer, mentor, musician, and professional counselor. Having both personally and professionally navigated the domains of physical, mental, and spiritual health, I'm of firm belief that a good clinician will address every aspect of person, and not reduce them to a collection of symptoms or confine them to a label. It's my conviction that you can't teach what you don't know, so I've taken great care to prove to myself that my clinical expertise and training is validated by the road I've walked before I entered the field. I have a MA in Clinical Counseling from Ashland University, a BA in Theology from Malone University, PT certification from NASM, 12+ years sober, and 3+ years of professional counseling experience.

I facilitate this exploration through being attentive to you and your needs, noticing the effects of your experiences on your sense of self. We can also examine together how culture, society, and family influence our worlds, emotions, and identities. I've been practicing in school and community based settings since 2018, and received my independent license in 2023. Through working with a wide range of ages and populations, I've came to appreciate how hurt and pain are hard to carry alone, and I'm honored to be present on that journey with you. I also offer services in both English and Mandarin/Chinese. Sliding fee appointments for those in need.

Let's navigate life together. I have experience in helping clients with anger management, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, depression, & coping with life changes. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. I use an eclectic approach with several research-based interventions including CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy. This is done to meet my clients where they are and to grow from there. I received my B.A. in Psychology and Pan-African Studies from Kent State University in 2003. I then went on to complete a Master of Education in Community Agency Counseling at Cleveland State University. I have been an active counseling therapist for 16 years and have worked in several settings, including Prevention Programs, School Based Therapy, and Outpatient therapy. I’m glad you reached out for support. Taking that step can require courage and strength. Many of the adults I work with are doing their best to hold everything together but feel overwhelmed on the inside. You may be dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, burnout, health concerns, difficult past experiences, or a major change in your life. You may also be facing grief, relationship challenges, questions about who you are, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself. I believe therapy should feel human, compassionate, and practical rather than clinical or cold. I offer a space where you can speak openly, feel heard, and explore what you are going through without judgment. Together, we can look at what is weighing on you, build on the strengths you already have, and develop practical tools that support you in daily life. If you are feeling stuck, tired, or ready for something to change, I’m here to help you take the next step. Our first session is a chance for me to listen and learn more about you and what brought you to therapy. You will have space to talk openly about what has been difficult and what you would like to change. We can begin identifying what is weighing on you, the strengths you already have, and practical ways therapy can support you. My goal is for you to feel heard, respected, and comfortable moving at a pace that works for you. I work with adults in Ohio, Arizona, and Nevada who may look like they are managing well on the outside but feel overwhelmed on the inside. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, health concerns, life changes, relationship challenges, grief, or feeling disconnected from yourself.

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with over a decade of clinical experience. I hold a bachelor's in social work (BSW) from Capital University and a master's in clinical mental health counseling from The University of Dayton. In addition to having my LPCC, I also hold a license as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). I have been in the helping profession for 15+ years. I have always had a passion for helping others. My earliest memories go back to teaching my stuffed animals and baby dolls to helping my next-door neighbor who had Down Syndrome, learn and recite her ABCs. As well as listening to my friends in elementary school vent about their traumas (I clearly didn't know that's what I was doing). I am passionate about working with LGBTQ+, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, postpartum depression, self-esteem and so much more. My goal is to help you reach holistic wellness and happiness.

You may be someone who looks like you have it together from the outside, but inside you’re tired, overwhelmed, anxious, or wondering why the things that used to work for you just aren’t working anymore. Maybe you’re the person everyone else depends on, and you’re not quite sure where you get to put your own stuff. I work especially well with adults navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, major life transitions, relationship challenges, or simply trying to understand themselves better. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who have already done a lot of reflecting but want help turning that insight into something that actually changes how life feels. I also work with a number of fellow therapists and helping professionals. At any given time, roughly 10% of my caseload is made up of clinicians who need a place where they do not have to be the therapist, supervisor, helper, or expert. They get to simply be the client. Another area I care deeply about is supporting women navigating perimenopause and the changes that can come with it. When your mood, energy, sleep, concentration, or sense of self suddenly feels different, it can be hard to know what belongs in the therapy room and what needs medical attention. I can help you sort through what you are experiencing, prepare for conversations with healthcare providers, and feel more confident advocating for your own health. You don’t need to come to therapy with the right words or a perfectly defined goal. We can start with what’s happening now and figure it out together. Note: I provide all services in a virtual setting.
