Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In your first session, we will spend time getting a clear understanding of what brings you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will ask questions about your current concerns, relevant history, goals you want to work towards so we can begin to identify what support will be most helpful for you. We will also discuss confidentiality and what to expect in our work going forward. This is collaborative space and our first meeting is also an opportunity for you to ensure that my approach feels like the right fit for your needs.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I combine depth-oriented work with practical skills-based support in a way that is tailored to each individual. I provide nonjudgmental space where clients can speak openly about topics that are often difficult to discuss, including sexual concerns, identity, values and relationship patterns. My work is collaborative and grounded in respect for each client's autonomy. Whether providing secular or faith-based counseling, I help clients make sense of their story while providing concrete tools they can use outside of the session.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I serve adults navigating the complexities of substance use disorders and behavioral addictions, specifically those seeking specialized supports for sex addiction and compulsive behaviors. My practice is designed for individuals who value a direct, nonjudgmental environment where they can address sensitive issues with complete transparency. Additionally, I am well-equipped to support clients who want to integrate their faith and spiritual values as a primary resource in their clinical recovery and personal growth.

My treatment methods

Sex Therapy

I provide a safe, shame-free space to discuss sensitive behaviors. I view sex addiction as a complex issue rather than a moral failure, allowing honest and productive clinical work. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavior therapy techniques to help clients regain impulse control, rebuild trust in relationships and develop healthy intimacy.

Christian Counseling

I have experience integrating Christian faith perspectives into counseling, using evidence-based interventions such as solution focused, cognitive behavioral and narrative. In my practice, I provide a safe respectful space for clients to explore emotional, relational and spiritual concerns, incorporating scripture, reflection and values-based discussions when requested. I work with individuals to align their therapeutic goals with their Christian faith supporting personal growth.

Narrative

I use narrative therapy to help clients separate themselves from their problems and examine stories about their lives. This approach allows clients to reframe experiences, highlight personal strengths and values and develop alternative narratives that support growth and healthier relationships.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use person centered therapy to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood and accepted. Through empathy and unconditional positive regard, clients are empowered to explore their feelings, build self-awareness, and access their capacity for growth and change.

Psychoeducation

I incorporate psychoeducation to help clients understand the psychological and behavioral aspects of their concerns. By providing information, clients gain insight into their experiences and learn skills to manage symptoms, improve relationships and make informed choices.
