I’m a Licensed Counselor with several years of experience supporting late-teens, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, life transitions, interpersonal difficulties, and the lasting impact of past experiences. I work especially well with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected, even when they appear to be functioning well on the outside. Many of the people I work with are looking for greater clarity, confidence, and direction in their lives.
My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're carrying, and better understand yourself without judgment. Together, we'll explore the patterns, experiences, and relationships that have shaped you while working toward meaningful changes that help you feel more grounded, connected, and aligned in your daily life.
Let’s not sugar coat it! Starting therapy can feel like a HUGE, exciting and terrifying step forward. Let’s not focus on the mountain, let’s focus on what’s right in front of you! You don't have to have it all together, nor do you have to navigate life’s challenges alone.
I’m Perleen Daroowalla and I aim to create a safe space where we can be straightforward and honest with each other while working through life’s challenges. I model the same honesty, accountability, and responsibility that I encourage in my clients.
Therapy begins with where you are now, factors in where you have been, and builds a plan for where you want to go. You are the expert on your life! The therapeutic relationship is a collaborative process. Together, we will create an individualized plan based off where you want your life to be in a month, 6 months, and/or a year from now. I offer creative and realistic strategies to assist you in tackling life’s challenges. You'll leave sessions with skills you can actively use to accomplish your goals.
I am a compassionate and collaborative therapist dedicated to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity, confidence, and balance. My approach integrates mindfulness, solution-focused strategies, and faith-based support when desired, allowing me to meet clients where they are while helping them move toward meaningful change.
I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow. Together, we focus on building practical skills, increasing self-awareness, and aligning your goals with what matters most to you.

You know what you need to do. So why is it so hard to actually do it? If ADHD, anxiety, or procrastination has you overthinking, falling behind, and feeling far from your best self, you're not lazy and you're not alone.
I'm a North Carolina therapist specializing in ADHD, executive function, and anxiety in adults. Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who already understand themselves well. Sessions are virtual, so therapy fits into a busy life.

I'm currently focusing on providing individual therapy within a variety of mental health disorders. I have 6 years and counting of direct clinical encounters.
Would you like to create space for work/ life balance? Would it be helpful to learn more about the connection between your behaviors, feelings, and thoughts? Are you ready to talk about coping strategies- both those that work and learn new ones?
I work collaboratively with individuals and families to manage stressors, feelings of stress and anxiety, and cope with addictions. I help clients develop coping strategies that may challenge past thoughts and behaviors but lead toward the accomplishment of goals. Sometimes, it is simply reminding ourselves of what worked before and getting back on track and other times, it is about learning something never practiced before.
