Hi, I’m a licensed professional counselor with over five years of experience supporting adults through life’s most overwhelming and uncertain moments. Whether you’re feeling stuck in anxiety or depression; struggling with unresolved trauma; navigating grief; or facing challenges related to ADHD, low self-worth, or major life changes, know that you don’t have to face it alone. I believe therapy should be more than just a space to talk: it should be a space to grow. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs. You are the expert in your life, and I’m here to help you reconnect with your inner strengths, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you. With over five years in the field, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals as they’ve moved through deep pain and into lasting change. I offer a safe, affirming, and nonjudgmental space where you can show up just as you are. Together, we’ll work toward goals that are meaningful to you; whether that’s building healthier coping skills, understanding your story, or creating more balance and connection in your life. My style is warm, engaged, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I view therapy as a partnership rooted in trust, honesty, and hope. Healing looks different for everyone; and whatever you're carrying, you don't have to carry it alone. If you're ready to begin your journey, I’m here to walk beside you. Let’s take that first step together.

Meet Nycole Mother to two bold, beautiful children. Wife to a wonderfully neuro-spicy husband. Avid plant lover and believer in growth; inside and out. Being a therapist isn’t just my career, it’s who I am. I’m deeply drawn to people who are ready to look inward, get honest, and do the hard, healing work of change. Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, stuck, or disconnected from themselves. They’ve carried trauma, ADHD, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or perfectionism for so long that it feels like part of who they are. Together, we slow things down. We look at what’s really happening beneath the overwhelm, whether it’s reactivity, shame, anxiety, or burnout- and we start rebuilding from there. My work focuses on helping you reconnect to your body, regulate your nervous system, and rediscover the parts of you that got lost in survival mode. Therapy with me isn’t passive. You’ll be challenged with compassion, supported in accountability, and encouraged to make small but meaningful shifts that align with the life you want to live. Because healing isn’t about becoming someone new- it’s about returning to yourself. As Abraham Maslow said, “One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.” If you’re ready to choose growth; to understand your mind, your emotions, and your patterns with clarity and compassion- let’s start the work together

Who I am My name is Danni, and I'm a Licensed Therapist. My approach is direct, heavy, and unapologetically thorough. I believe in getting to the root cause of your distress and dismantling it, brick by heavy brick. My goal is to guide you on a transformative journey toward a more fulfilling and authentic life. My Approach and Beliefs This is a form of progressive therapy, and it is driven by one core belief: that the most profound and lasting change comes from psychodynamic trauma processing and inner child work. We will not be skimming the surface. We will begin there, yes—at the surface of your current pain—but we will be following it down into the core of your past. We will find where your coping mechanisms and triggers were first formed, because our deepest parts are often stuck in the moment of their original trauma. The goal of this process is to go back to that stuck place, find safety and stability, and then walk you through the developmental stages you missed so that the "inner child" can finally grow up and become one with your current self. This is not easy. It’s intense, it can be scary, and it will require you to face things you’ve likely spent a lifetime running from. We'll be going into the depths, so you can stop just surviving and start truly living.

I believe in therapy as someone who has done my own clinical work since I was in my mid-twenties. I grew up in NJ and moved to Michigan to attend college and have been here since that time. I spent the first part of my career working in the foster care system with children and adolescents which I really enjoyed. That gave me a great foundation for working with the adult issues of attachment, child developmental stages that were not accomplished and struggles with current relationships. I do a lot of work with people who were raised by narcissistic parents, people who are dealing with cancer diagnosis and those with chronic or life threatening illnesses. I work with people who are addressing childhood trauma, sexual abuse or emotional abuse. I have worked with adoptees who are seeking understanding of themselves and their past. I do a lot of work with individuals transitioning from a divorce situation and all the adjustments that this involves especially in coparenting situations. I find people and their life experiences fascinating and always worth unpacking and investigating to gain a better understanding of the self as a whole being; there is always something new to learn.

Welcome to my page! My name is Sara Schwartz, MBA, MA, LPC, NCC, CAADC, NPT-C, and I am the owner of 3Cs Counseling Center (3CsCounselingCenter.com). I have been working in the field of counseling for 4 years now and have both community mental health and private practice experience. I'm able to treat a wide variety of mental health concerns including trauma and PTSD, addictions, anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation disorders, and many more. While in community mental health for a year-and-a-half, I worked with the most vulnerable children and adults out in the streets of Detroit. These individuals were struggling with severe emotional disturbances and mental health diagnoses, often with co-occurring physical disabilities and addiction(s), and battling homelessness, difficult family dynamics or being moved to multiple foster care placements (at all ages). I enjoy helping clients by lifting them up and empowering them right where they're at while providing a supportive space for deep self-exploration, trying new coping skills and strategies, and ultimately, realizing sustainable healing.

I want to first applaud you — not just for enduring what you’ve been through, but for your continued commitment to thrive beyond it. My clients are thrivers — individuals who have lived through family conflict, sexual abuse, and childhood trauma, and are now actively choosing to build a life that feels meaningful and fully their own. Their past may have shaped them, but it does not define the future they are creating. I honor the boldness it takes to move from simply surviving to truly living. Many of the people I work with are reclaiming parts of themselves that were once overshadowed by fear or self-doubt. They are learning to trust their needs, celebrate their voice, and experience connection with a sense of grounding and joy. Thriving is a dynamic journey. It includes new confidence, deeper relationships, increased presence, and the ability to savor moments that once felt out of reach. It’s the shift from “getting through the day” to feeling rooted, empowered, and open to possibility. It’s experiencing emotion without being overwhelmed. It’s choosing self-compassion over shame. In our work together, we focus on expanding capacity for aliveness — rebuilding internal safety, strengthening identity, and nurturing the parts of self that are ready to emerge. My clients are not only healing; they are growing, evolving, and stepping into lives where they feel connected, purposeful, and free. Every person’s path is unique, but the strength I witness is universal. They are redefining what’s possible, creating new family legacies, and allowing themselves to thrive in ways they once never imagined. I deeply believe in their power — and in the vibrant, fulfilling lives they are building.

Frequently asked questions

Why filter by Michigan rather than a city like Detroit?

When looking for online therapy, you can see anyone that is credentialed in the state. We want you to find the best fit, therefore, Grow Therapy shows available therapists across Michigan from Grand Rapids to Warren! If you’d rather see someone in-person, you can change the filter from virtual and find a therapist near you in Michigan.

Will my therapist take insurance?

When booking you’ll be asked to verify with your Member ID. However, if you don’t have any of the insurances available you can select cash. Our therapists will have their cost of appointment on their profile. Individual session costs will vary.

How does the Specialty Filter work? Can I find a therapist that focuses on a specific issue?

The specialty filter is optional. You don’t need to check any boxes to see a provider. However, fit is very important when selecting an online therapist. If you have knowledge or experience to recognize what specialties you may need.

Why use Gender, Age, and Identities filters?

Finding a provider with a similar life experience can be beneficial because it can be easier to establish rapport and potentially be understood quicker and clearer.

What to expect during your first session?

Your first therapy session is for you and your therapist to meet each other and to ask any questions that you have about the counseling process. This is where you can expect your therapist to do the same as they will ask questions to gain insight into your specific situation. In this first session the therapist is doing their part to gather as much information so they can better assess if they are able to meet your therapeutic needs. Depending upon your provider's specialty, you may also discuss the methods the therapist will use. For additional information on therapy methods, please visit the Grow Therapy Help Center. Some people feel nervous before their first appointment, and that is totally normal! Coming prepared with a list of questions for your therapist may help. Remember, you're taking a brave step by seeking therapy, and it is okay to be nervous as you try something new.
