Hello! I'm delighted you're taking the courageous step of seeking support. As an independently licensed therapist with over 20 years of practice, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to helping individuals and couples achieve their desired mental health outcomes. My educational foundation includes a Master of Clinical Social Work with a focus on Mental Health and Addictions Practice from Indiana University, and a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University. I'm licensed to practice across multiple states, including Michigan, Oregon, Illinois, Texas, and Washington, allowing me to serve a broad range of clients.
My passion is helping adults successfully navigate challenges such as:
• Stress
• Mood Disorders (including anxiety and depression)
• PTSD, anger management
• Substance Use Disorders and other co-occurring conditions
I also work with couples who are facing relationship challenges, guiding them toward stronger connection and communication. Ready to start your journey toward better mental health and a more fulfilling life? I look forward to partnering with you.
My name is Connie Owens, I am passionate about helping women overcome trauma and Narcissistic abuse. My approach is Holistic. We will address the 4 interdependent parts of self; 1. Mind, 2. Body, 3. Soul, and 4. Spirit. I believe that we are each uniquely different and to heal all of you we will need to treat all of you. Together we will develop a plan to look at every aspect of your life to see how it contributes to causing you emotional pain, and then focus on a solution to help you overcome the emotional pain, for good.
Admitting you might need a little help getting a handle on your life or the fallout from your past is difficult. Each person interprets the world based on life experiences that are uniquely their own. These interpretations can blind us from opportunities, alternatives, or pitfalls that may be right in front of us. My goal is to assist clients in building a personal road map to navigate life and guide decision-making to gain an acceptable level of control in their life. I have extensive experience with law enforcement, military and ems.
I work with high-functioning adults who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, emotional pain, or self-sabotage—even after years of traditional talk therapy. My approach integrates trauma-informed, somatic, and nervous system-based practices with subconscious reprogramming. Together, we’ll gently uncover and shift the deeper beliefs and survival patterns held in your body, creating healing that is not only insightful, but embodied and lasting.
I am a licensed professional counselor with a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with experience working on a multitude of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, parenting, and couples counseling. I believe in creating a strong, trusting therapeutic environment where people feel comfortable, motivated, and not judged. I use solution-focused techniques to assist in reaching goals and CBT techniques to help with concerns such as negative thought patterns. Every person is different, and you will have your own individualized therapy and plan that is tailored to your needs. I really enjoy helping others explore their own strengths, and I understand that sometimes it can be hard to put things into perspective. Sometimes that outside, non-judgmental assistance is what someone needs to get back on track or on a better track.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Michigan. I received my Masters from the University of Michigan and have been a practicing mental health clinician for 9 years. I have worked with folks from many different backgrounds, but my most recent work has been with adults.
Whether you're struggling with mental health concerns, relationship issues, or simply seeking personal growth, having a therapist who can offer empathy, guidance and support can be the difference that helps you to make the next steps you've been hoping to. I believe everyone can benefit from self-exploration and more intentional work toward self-fulfillment.

With 20 years of experience as a social worker, including supporting children and families in a school setting, I understand the ups and downs of life and the power of healthy coping strategies. Let’s work together to make your comeback even stronger.
Hi! I am a licensed masters level social worker (LMSW) based in Michigan. I received my Bachelor's in Social Work and Master's in Social Work degrees from Western Michigan University. I have been a therapist for 5 years. I enjoy helping individuals address feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. I have significant experience working with youth and individuals who have experienced trauma.
God uniquely and wonderfully creates every person. In our uniqueness, we can get stuck. I am passionate about walking with individuals as they work to get unstuck, find healing, and find their path to living a fuller life. I have served as a pastor and a chaplain in prison ministry. Through pastoral care, I have spent considerable time walking with couples as they work through concerns. I have spent much of my chaplaincy working with men struggling with addiction, identity issues, and faith issues.
I am a counselor who embodies empathy, compassion, and motivation in guiding my clients toward healing and self-discovery. My training in TEAM CBT, developed by Dr. David Burns, emphasizes the transformative power of confronting negative thoughts to drive positive emotional change. This method, rooted in the principle that 'The Truth Shall Set You Free,' focuses on identifying and challenging cognitive distortions. Additionally, as a Christian Counselor, I seamlessly integrate Christian principles with traditional talk therapy and TEAM CBT, ensuring that these approaches complement rather than conflict. This holistic blend allows for a therapy experience where clients address their mental health challenges and find deeper meaning and alignment with their spiritual beliefs.

Hello,
My name is Karenna Lang and I am a licensed master's level clinical therapist. My educational background includes master's degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and the University of London. I am licensed to practice in the State of Michigan as well as the State of Connecticut.
If you are facing challenges in your life and are considering therapy I am happy to assist. Many of us experience issues with anxiety, confidence, and self-esteem. Emotions, thoughts and behaviors can be very challenging. It is my goal to assist clients with understanding how these three components are interrelated and to assist clients with empowering themselves to achieve increased awareness, introspection and insight and gain a happier life.
Are you faced with worry? Do you find yourself overthinking and experiencing racing thoughts? Perhaps you experience social anxiety. Are you facing a history of family trauma? Or perhaps, issues with communication and conflict in a relationship? Perhaps you are dealing with a stressful matter related to your career, or educational endeavors. Or, you may be dealing with identity issues and/or gender changes. These are just some of the examples of the topics I can address with you.
My primary areas of interest include persons suffering from anxiety, persons with a history of family trauma, and individuals and couples experiencing problems with communication and conflicts. I also enjoy working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community.
Whatever issues you may be facing, it is a courageous step to seek and obtain counseling services and I am happy to offer a friendly approach and a safe, confidential, respectful, and supportive environment.
I am a mental health counselor with over 11 years experience in helping clients work toward their vision of a happy and meaningful life. I have spent most of my career working in community mental health, where I currently work full-time as a behavioral health director. I am continuing to provide counseling services with Grow as working with people in counseling is my passion and I look forward to finding out what goals you hope to accomplish!
Hello. I'm Jewel McGowan, LPC. I have more than 25 years of experience effectively treating anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, trauma, grief, school failure and much more. I help my clients get down to the root causes of their challenges, and I empower them to break out of old patterns. Positive Psychology, CBT, and Play Therapy are just a few of the ways I treat my clients, and I've successfully helped thousands of clients reach their goals.
I have worked in the mental health field since I was 17. Over the years I have grown assisting my clients in many stages of emotional issues, through the use of CBT, Mindfulness, and teaching useful coping skills. I treat ages from 13 to 99.
During sessions we will address current issues, along with looking into how the past has affected current functioning.
My one personal goal for you is to help you learn how to help yourself. It might sound cheesy, but I just want the best for everyone and sometimes that means stepping outside of your comfort zone and asking for help. I strive to help others learn how to help themselves so that they can learn to trust their gut.
Hello and welcome. I am an LCSW who has 28 years of experience providing therapy to a wide array of clients. I enjoy meeting clients where they are at and helping them to discuss their issues, look at obstacles to making changes, make expectations that are more realistic, and helping them to learn new skills to decrease the negative effects on their life.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, along with anxiety and depression. I am passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults on their journey to well-being. My commitment to being client-centered means that I prioritize your unique experiences, values, and goals throughout our work together. I am someone who is passionate about the work I do and want clients to feel validated and seen; sometimes for the first time in their lives.
Whether there has been a significant loss, a life transition, relational conflict, or daily stressors, we all need support during difficult times. Sometimes, however, a trained professional can help navigate these challenges and assist in facilitating positive change. We aren’t always able to recognize the underlying cause of our discomfort or find ways to overcome life’s challenges. In a therapeutic setting, we will work together to discover healthier ways for you to deal with life’s struggles, make desired changes, improve relationships, and find inner healing.
Seeking therapy can be viewed as an investment in yourself. Improving mental and emotional health is as important as one’s physical health. My role is to provide a safe space and come alongside you on your journey.
I work with adolescents and adults and provide individual, couples, and family counseling services. I treat depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, (PTSD), relationship issues, parenting, behavioral concerns, and many other problems affecting how we feel and operate in the world.
I’m a licensed clinical social worker dedicated to helping high-functioning individuals navigate trauma, relationship challenges, overthinking, and the stressors of everyday life. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a holistic, spiritually-informed perspective (not tied to any religion), creating space for both practical tools and deeper personal insight. I aim to support clients in finding clarity, balance, and lasting healing.
Hello and welcome! I'm glad you're taking this step to seek out support for yourself. A little about me: I have over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field and am committed to supporting my clients as they work to make meaningful change. I have experience working with clients of all ages, from young children to older adults. My areas of specialty include anxiety, grief, supporting clients through periods of transition such as middle-age and retirement, as well as assisting professionals who are struggling with feelings of exhaustion and burn-out. I also work with clients who are dealing with serious health issues. I tend to use an eclectic approach in my practice, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also augment these traditional modalities with the use of somatic therapies, such as yoga and mindfulness practices, to achieve a more holistic approach to wellness.
I am a licensed professional counselor with seven years of experience working with individuals facing a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship challenges. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, aimed at helping clients gain insight, build resilience, and create meaningful change in their lives. I support clients to identify personal goals, strengthen communication skills, and developing effective coping techniques to navigate life's stressors with greater confidence and clarity.
If you struggle with anxious attachment, people pleasing, setting boundaries, feeling triggered, anger, anxiety, depression, co-dependence, parenting issues, and ADD/ ADHD, then I want to work with you. These symptoms and attachment style are often related to each other and often related to similar childhood experiences of inconstant or abusive/neglectful caregivers. (ADD and ADHD is not cause by caregivers, however, when it goes undiagnosed in children, there is s strong correlation to symptoms described above)
Hi, my name is Jeana, and I am a master's level clinical social worker. I have two young adult daughters, a dog, and a cat. With over 25 years of experience in social work, my background includes home healthcare, hospice care, and one-on-one therapy. I've had the privilege of working virtually with clients worldwide, ranging in age from 18 to mature adults. My clients typically seek support for issues related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, family conflict, LGBTQ concerns, and diverse relationship styles. As a person of faith, I am open to working with individuals of all faiths, religions, cultures, and lifestyles. I find great joy in helping anyone willing to take the first step toward creating change in their life.
Hi I'm Gaby. If you have been feeling sick and stuck in a negative thought process and wondering if there is anyone who can understand or help you, let's talk. I am here to help you experience change and escape from the pattern of life that has left you feeling different, unwell, and stuck.
I am first and foremost a Trauma Informed Recovery Therapist. This means that I believe in you and I believe in your goals and I know we can find a way to get there while acknowledging all that you have been through. I realized I wanted to become a therapist during a serendipitous summer camp experience—40 feet in the air on the high ropes course, I learned that I loved helping people process challenging experiences in creative ways. I love using a lot of different approaches depending on what we are working on. Some of my favorite methods are cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, strength based therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
I have been doing individual therapy with teens and adults of all ages since 2020. Previously, I worked as a clinical consultant, clinical director, and clinical supervisor in specialized mental health rehabilitation settings. I have been supporting people in creating and meeting their goals since 2012. I have used all of my past work experiences to learn how to work with clients to explore dreams, and strengths, and learn how to make these things their reality. I use eclectic strategies to support people as they sort through their lives and figure out ways to move forward in a new light.
I believe that therapy is a special space that allows a person to sit, process, and problem-solve in a way that can’t always be done in day-to-day.
Yay you for taking the first step towards bettering you or your child's mental health because, let's be honest - starting therapy can be empowering, confusing, or scary, all at the same time.
My therapy style is relaxed, collaborative, and holistic. I am passionate about helping others. My focus is you and helping you create the life you want by becoming the best version of yourself.
Now that you are ready to do the work and learn some new skills-I look forward to meeting you and walking beside you in this journey.

Hi, I’m Candace — a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s in Community Counseling from Lakeland University and a Bachelor’s in Sociology from UW-Stevens Point.
I’m a straightforward, no-fluff therapist who believes the best work happens when you feel safe enough to be fully yourself. My clients often tell me I’m not a “typical” therapist — and they’re right. I’m progressive, direct, sometimes sarcastic, and always focused on creating a space where you don’t have to pretend.
I work well with people who want honesty, humor, and real conversations — whether you’re dealing with anxiety, relationship issues, burnout, identity exploration, or just feeling stuck. I’m an animal lover (my dogs are basically coworkers), I have tattoos, and I’m not easily rattled. You won’t shock me, and you don’t have to filter yourself here.
If you’re looking for a therapist who keeps it real, creates a safe space, and isn’t afraid to challenge you when needed — with compassion and maybe a little dry humor — I might be a good fit.
My name is Jeffrey, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan, and a Licensed Social Worker and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio. I have also been an ordained Lutheran pastor since 1989. My professional career began as an Associate Pastor in a Lutheran church in northwest Ohio, where I focused on youth ministry, Christian Education, and pastoral counseling. I entered Social Work in 1995 when I began work as a Family Worker in a residential facility for hard to place juvenile offenders, and then worked in a few outpatient counseling agencies providing mental health and substance use disorder services. I have experience working with people of all ages on general mental health issues, such as managing depression and anxiety, and have specialized in the areas of PTSD recovery and domestic violence and sexual abuse victims and offenders. Throughout my counseling career, I have maintained activity in ministry. I was trained in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and also have had training as a Spiritual Director.
My counseling approach is generally non-directive, using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing in a Solution Focused, Client Centered frame work. I can incorporate spirituality as much or as little as the client desires, from not referencing spirituality at all to fully engaging the spiritual dimension of life. As a caring, empathetic listener, people find it easy to talk with me and be open about what needs attention in their lives.
I look forward to working with you!
Hey there, I'm really glad you're here. Let me tell you a bit about why therapy is so meaningful to me. I began my own journey into therapy when I was younger, facing similar struggles to what you might be experiencing now. It wasn't easy, but therapy became my light during those tough times. It showed me that even in the midst of darkness, there's hope and room for joy. Now, I'm here to offer you that same support and guidance. If you're ready to take that step, I'm here to walk alongside you, helping you find the tools you need to feel better.
I'm Cathleen a licensed social worker in the state of Michigan. I have been a MSW for over 30 years and practicing therapy for over 10 years. As a therapist I aim to create a safe, judgment free space for self-exploration, discovery, and healing. This is best realized when a client and therapist
can work collaboratively. Each of us is a work in progress learning to navigate an ever-changing and complex world. Every stage in our life offers obstacles and hurdles; it is how we respond to them that determines the outcome. In the brilliant words of Ram Dass “We’re all just
walking each other home.” It would be my honor and privilege to walk with you on your journey.
On a personal note; I love thrifting, cooking vegan food and spending time with my senior rescue dog Gypsy.
I am compassionate, warm and easy to talk to. Add to that a decent sense of humor! I am also non-judgemental and I meet you where you are. You may need a listening ear and someone to help you sort out how you feeling. I can help with that. For over 20 years I have been helping people like you to find help and healing.
A little bit about me: I was born and raised in Northwest Michigan, I’m an avid animal lover, and sourdough connoisseur!
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker. I earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan with a major of Women’s Studies in 2018 and an MSW from Wayne State University in 2020. I have an innate understanding of the complexities of life and the overwhelm that can result. This understanding has created in me a passion for helping individuals learn and obtain the appropriate tools to achieve their full potential and overcome these challenges. I look forward to working with you!
My name is Anthony and I have worked in the behavioral health field for 28 years. I am very active in the behavioral health field even being acknowledged as a Notable Leader in Behavioral Health in 2023 through Crain's Detroit. While a large portion of my work is spent training and managing a team of behavioral health professionals it is incredibly important to me to continue creating space to partner and directly serve people. This is where you come in, providing counseling is generally the best part of my work. It grounds me with why I am a work in behavioral health, it allows me to practice the skills I have learned over the decades and it creates energy and life satisfaction. You have many options of who to choose as a therapist, know that if you choose me I will be excited to see you and to partner with you. Seeing clients is literally not my job, I genuinely want to be your counselor and I look forward to seeing you.
Welcome! I am Kimberly.
