Hello! Wishing you wellness. I’m Christina, A Licensed Professional Counselor completing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and neuroscience. I have practiced in Maryland, New Jersey, Florida and Michigan for over 20 years. I practice solution-focused therapy that leads to results! I treat young women ages 18-40, utilizing a variety of techniques. I believe in listening, helping and healing but I am most concerned about growth. I believe that clients who remain stagnant in therapy are not getting their needs met. Therapy is a collaboration and a partnership. It is about working together to promote healing and also teaching tools and techniques that will last a lifetime. Long after the therapy session is over, clients continue to live their lives. If ill equipped to handle difficult times, a client can find themselves in the same situation that sent them to therapy initially. This could potentially lead to dependency on therapy or one may find themselves disliking therapy.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to discuss what they feel comfortable discussing. I ask a lot of questions and begin to gently probe but I allow the client to decide just how much they want to chat about. I enjoy building a relationship and getting to know my clients as people and not just patients. I will diagnose after a very thorough intake. I tell my clients not to worry if they don’t know what to say. I will guide the session if they like OR they may discuss their concerns openly and take the lead in conversation. Everyone is different and it depends on what works for my client. This thorough discussion helps me to build a treatment plan that we can work through moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

ACTIVE listening. I don't just sit and go "mmhmm." I believe in results, change and growth. I believe in measuring that growth when the client is so interested in doing. That may be a combidantio

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with young professionals, who are post-collegiate, enrolled in college or graduate, post-graduate. I understand the nuances of being new to the career field and the stressors that can be associated with that. I enjoy helping women with a history of trauma, anxiety, depression and ADHD who are trying to improve their lives and grow their career.
