Hello! I am an artist, yoga teacher, raft guide and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) practicing in Washington and Michigan for the past 9 years. I am passionate about the power of nature and creativity in the healing process and love supporting people as they become the best version of themselves. My practice is trauma informed and action oriented, centered around your goals for wellness.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session we'll introduce ourselves and identify the issues you'd like to focus on in therapy. We'll explore which modalities you're most interested in and collaborate on a treatment plan and schedule that's right for you. At the end of each session we'll set an intention, goal, or exercise to be processed at the following session - bringing insight from your therapy into everyday life.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strength as a provider is my ability to meet you - where you're at today - and empower you to begin taking tangible steps toward where you want to be. My approach is trauma informed and action oriented. We explore the relationship of thought, action and feeling through creative, mind-body methods that allow you to access the stored experiences and limiting beliefs that are holding you back.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with people who have a desire to heal and grow, but might feel a little stuck. My clients are seeking a deeper understanding of the patterns that hold them back from their dreams. They may doubt they are capable of self love because of their past experiences but are curious about giving it a try! My clients are interested in exploring creative, nature-based, mind-body modalities toward healing.

My treatment methods

Somatic

Somatic Therapy taps into the relationship between the mind and body to find healing. We explore Expressive Art Therapy, Yoga for Trauma Recovery, Breathwork and Mindfulness to identify and release trauma held in the body and regulate the nervous system. As an artist and yoga teacher for over 20 years, I find these to be powerful methods to find calm and cultivate self awareness.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational Interviewing is all about tapping into your inherent motivation to bring about the change you desire in your life! This is a collaborative method that celebrates and encourages the subtle ways you are living toward your dreams while increasing motivation to make greater gains. Through MI we also discover limiting beliefs that are holding you back from your full potential and learn to practice more empowering self talk.

Transpersonal

Through creative expression and mindfulness we make space for you to explore a deeper sense of spirituality, intuition, and your bigger picture purpose.

Attachment-based

Understanding the ways that our earliest relationships shape the way we give and receive love provides powerful insight. By working with our attachment style we can become more empowered and less reactive in our relationships, and cultivate healthy and effective love languages with ourselves and our cherished humans.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Understanding the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and actions equips us to make strategic adjustments in our focus and thought content that can ripple through our lives in powerful ways.
