Hi, my name is Angie and I’m a master’s licensed social worker and graduated from the University of Michigan. I have over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, parents, grief, domestic violence, substance misuse, and depression. I am certified in infant mental health and perinatal mental health. I have experience helping a variety of individuals and I’m sure together we can conquer whatever is causing you distress or what you are needing to process. We are all on this earth together and we need each other. I believe therapy should be a sounding board to help you work through your thoughts and feelings.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session I will want to get to know you and specifically what you are looking for from therapy. Then we can identify goals that are ideal for you and talk about how we can achieve them together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have an eclectic background working with a variety of patients. I think what makes me unique is my ability to empathize with clients and being able to see things from where they stand, even if I haven’t experienced it myself. I want to help you make the perfect treatment plan for you so you can have a better understanding of who you are and just learning more about yourself as a whole.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Through identifying the underlying feeling in response to a stimulus we can work together to understand how and why something is impacting you the way it is and try to shift our thinking.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma impacts everyone, being able to tell your story and conquer it will help you to overcome it.

Attachment-based

Through understanding our attachment styles and patterns we can better understand our own choices and motives.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Implementing DBT skills into treatment and utilizing behavior chaining can help a person understand underlying motives behind a behavior or thought process.

Psychoeducation

Having a sound understanding of how the brain and body connection work can be helpful to treatment and understanding how you work as a whole.
