I became a mental health professional to support people through stressful times in their lives because I understand what it is like to go through hard times with and without support. The vast majority of my work has been helping people who have experienced bad things in life, learning about the hard parts of life and how they impact us, reducing emotional and physical distress, and supporting clients in achieving their goals. I have worked for over 10 years in NYC with adults, adolescents, children, and families.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I want to warmly welcome you and commend you for taking this significant step towards seeking support. I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel daunting, and I want you to know that your feelings and experiences are valid. Together, we'll embark on a journey of exploration, where I'll provide a supportive space for you to delve into your current concerns and share your personal history. Beyond just understanding your struggles, I'm eager to get to know you as a whole person—your strengths, values, and the experiences that have shaped you. This holistic approach will guide us in tailoring our work to meet your unique needs and aspirations. We'll collaborate closely to identify specific, achievable goals that you'd like to work towards. These goals will serve as our roadmap, guiding our sessions and allowing us to measure progress along the way. Importantly, our therapy plan is flexible and can be adjusted as needed to ensure your comfort and progress remain our top priorities.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
As your therapist, I bring a wealth of strengths and qualities to our therapeutic relationship. Central to my practice are empathy and compassion—I deeply understand the courage it takes to embark on a journey toward healing, and I approach each client with unwavering empathy and compassion. My commitment to evidence-based practice ensures that the interventions we explore together are grounded in research and tailored to your unique needs. With extensive training in trauma-informed care, I prioritize creating a safe and supportive environment where healing can flourish. I believe in the power of individualized care and recognize that each person's journey is distinct. By tailoring my approach to your specific experiences and goals, I aim to empower you on your path to growth and resilience. Furthermore, I take pride in the strong therapeutic alliances I cultivate with my clients, with many consistently reporting high satisfaction on standardized assessments. Your trust and well-being are my top priorities, and I'm dedicated to supporting you every step of the way.

Trauma-Focused CBT
I have been working with individuals and families who have experienced interpersonal trauma for over 15 years throughout NYC. I am trained in multiple evidence-based trauma practices and was certified in 2016 in Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
Motivational Interviewing
I utilize Motivational Interviewing in all my sessions to ensure and support self-determination. Only you can determine what makes your life worth living.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been practicing CBT with those who have experienced trauma and to help those experiencing other life stressors to improve self-awareness, organize thinking, and reduce symptoms.
Mind-body approach
Many clients who have come to me feel like they exist only in their brain/head. Helping clients understand their central nervous system responses and demystify some of the psychological responses we have to stress, allows clients to attune to distress differently and feel more integrated.
