Welcome! I'm a Nationally Certified and Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Michigan. I received a Masters of Science in Counseling from the University of Phoenix and have been providing therapy for 10 years. I am also a certified trauma specialist. I am skilled at helping young adults and adults who want support in managing anxiety, depression and trauma and many other life challenges.
About Me
Hi, I’m a Licensed Clinical Master’s Level Social Worker (LMSW) based in Michigan. For over 26 years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, families, children, and veterans as they navigate life’s everyday challenges and transitions. Many clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stretched thin by work and family responsibilities, struggling with relationship conflict, or discouraged by low self-esteem. Others are parents seeking guidance as they support a child or preteen with ADHD, school stress, behavior concerns, or the complexities of IEPs and 504 plans.
No matter what brings you to therapy, I believe your story matters. I strive to meet you where you are and create a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported without judgment. Life can feel demanding and exhausting at times, and therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and build skills to manage it more effectively.
My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and strength-based. I use evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based strategies. Together, we focus on practical tools you can apply in daily life—managing stress and emotions, improving communication, building coping skills, strengthening relationships, and increasing resilience at home, school, and work.
I also have over 15 years of experience working with veterans, supporting trauma recovery, reintegration into civilian life, and access to housing and community resources. I bring a culturally responsive perspective to my work with immigrants and first-generation individuals, addressing identity development, acculturation stress, and family dynamics.
Whether you are an adult navigating stress or life transitions, a parent seeking support for your child, or someone working to rebuild confidence and emotional balance, I offer a safe, supportive space to heal, grow, and move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and well-being.

My counseling philosophy includes Rational Emotive Behavior and Choice Reality Therapy, placing emphasis on reshaping core beliefs in those individuals experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, thereby empowering them to live full, satisfying lives free from unnecessary psychological distress. Also, introducing the concept of choice and functioning in the here and now (reality), helping them understand that they have a choice and the power to change, adjust or enhance whatever it is that they want to alter about themselves, their situation or circumstances.
My counseling style is compassionate, empathic, non-judgemental, and genuine.

Hello! I began my social work journey in 2006 and have been working in the mental health field since I obtained my MSW in 2008. As a clinical social worker I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of helping individuals identify and address many mental health concerns and move towards the life they most desire. I am passionate about addressing the stigma around addictions and serious mental illness and I believe the best way to begin any mental health journey of recovery is with compassion and understanding. I work from a cognitive-behavioral perspective and I use a strengths-based orientation of empowerment to work with adults and couples. I feel that we are already our best selves-we just need some help letting go of the survival skills we've taken on to get through the toughest times in our lives. I have spent several years working exclusively with homeless veterans and individuals struggling with addiction, and this has given me additional perspective and insight into the needs of some of our most vulnerable populations. I am an advocate, an accountability partner, an empath and your greatest cheerleader. I'm excited to help you rediscover your best self and to claim the life you deserve.

I am a licensed clinical social worker committed to having a successful therapeutic relationship with clients. I like to empower and collaboratively work with clients to address their concerns, reach their personal goals and optimal potentials. I've always wanted to help people and I've always been a really social person; therapy allows me to do both and serve clients who may not have sought therapy before. Being a Black woman, I understand that people who look like me are least likely to seek therapy; this is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. I love interacting with clients from all different backgrounds as this widens my therapeutic practice. I received my undergraduate degree from FSU and my MSW degree from FIU.
Greetings! My name is Brian. After years working primarily with individuals who were court-ordered to chat with me, I've just recently started my own practice to spread my wings and talk with folks eager to improve their situations without quite so much external motivation.
Some background information about me if you're interested: I attained my Masters in Clinical Social Work degree from Ferris State University and graduated with the highest honors. I've worked in housing and with those experiencing homelessness. I've worked with children in foster care and with the parents trying to get them back into their care. I've worked with teens and older adults and every age between, both individually and in groups. I've helped educate about substance use, adjust from violence and trauma, cope with depression and anxiety, and develop time-management and stress-management skills, among others. I'm proud of what I've accomplished thus far, but what can I say? I want to do more!
I’m a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who helps children, teens, and adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and personalized to each client’s needs. I offer a safe, supportive space to explore challenges, strengthen coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change so you can move forward with greater confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.
I help college students, job seekers and working professionals who are feeling burned out, anxious, or overwhelmed reconnect with their strengths and bring their best selves to work or school. Many of my clients juggle high expectations, relationship challenges at work or college, and ongoing stress—and feel stuck, frustrated, or held back by negative self-talk. Together, we work on recognizing these patterns, challenging self-imposed limitations, and building healthier, more confident ways of thinking. Career counseling focused on mental health in the workplace is my specialization.

Hello. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been practicing for over 20 years. I work with adults, couples, and families including children, and adolescents. I understand therapy can feel uncomfortable and the thought of sharing yourself with someone you don't know (yet) can be overwhelming. Give me a call and we can talk for an initial conversation to see if it will be a good fit.
