New to Grow
Hello, and welcome! I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and over six years of experience supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault through my work at a local nonprofit organization. During that time, I have also worked with a wide range of individuals seeking therapy for life’s many challenges. My current focus is working with adults and couples who want to improve communication, better understand conflict, manage anger, and address concerns related to anxiety and depression. I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and down-to-earth environment where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult topics and working toward meaningful change. Outside of therapy, I am a devoted plant lover who enjoys spending time outdoors with my four dogs, antiquing, and adding to my ever-growing book collection. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you on your journey.
Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and determine whether we are a good fit. I will ask questions about your background, current concerns, and what you hope to achieve in therapy, while also giving you the chance to ask questions about my approach and what working together will look like. My goal is to create a comfortable, welcoming environment that feels professional yet relaxed, so you can share openly without the pressure of a stiff or intimidating clinical setting.
One of my greatest strengths as a therapist is my ability to create a laid-back, welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable speaking openly and honestly about what they are experiencing. I balance compassion with direct, straightforward feedback, helping clients gain insight while also feeling supported. I often use humor to ease tension and make sessions feel more natural and approachable. Above all, I strive to provide a judgment-free space where you can be your authentic self as we work together to better understand challenges and develop practical solutions.
My ideal clients are adults and couples who are motivated to better understand themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. They may be struggling with anxiety, anger, relationship conflict, or recurring patterns that are affecting their emotional well-being and daily lives. These clients are ready to explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected and are open to learning practical tools to improve coping, communication, and overall functioning. I enjoy working with individuals who are goal-oriented and committed to personal growth. Whether they are seeking to manage stress, regulate emotions, or break unhealthy behavior patterns, I provide a supportive and collaborative space to help them build insight and develop effective strategies for change. I also work well with couples who want to strengthen their relationship by improving communication, understanding attachment styles, rebuilding trust, and resolving conflict in healthier ways. Together, we identify patterns that contribute to disconnection and work toward creating a more secure, supportive, and fulfilling partnership. My ideal clients are those who are willing to engage in the therapeutic process, reflect honestly, and take active steps toward the life and relationships they want to create.
Other specialties
I identify as
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier ways of coping. CBT is a practical, goal-oriented approach that equips clients with tools they can use in everyday life to manage stress, improve mood, and create lasting change.
Couples Counseling
I use couples counseling methods to help partners improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and work through conflicts in a healthy and productive way. In therapy, I support couples in identifying patterns that contribute to misunderstandings and guide them in developing skills for trust, empathy, and problem-solving. My approach is tailored to each relationship’s unique needs and focuses on fostering greater understanding and lasting change.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy techniques to help clients identify their strengths, build on what is already working, and develop practical steps toward their goals. This approach emphasizes solutions rather than problems and supports clients in creating meaningful, positive changes in their lives. Sessions are collaborative, goal-oriented, and focused on helping clients recognize their ability to overcome challenges.
