My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I utilize Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as a structured, evidence-based approach to help clients process traumatic events. I assist clients in identifying and challenging unhelpful beliefs that keep them stuck. Clients will recognize how the trauma has impacted their thoughts and feelings. Overall, CPT helps reduce trauma related symptoms, and clients to develop healthier cognitive patterns.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

When using person-centered treatment my focus is creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients will feel safe. I prioritize listening and helping clients feel understood. This allows clients to guide the session allowing them to develop a greater self-awareness and gain insight to their thoughts and behaviors. Overall, this method empowers clients and promotes personal growth.
