New to Grow
As a licensed clinician with lived experience, it is my passion to assist individuals in finding their true self and live free from the emotions that hold you down such as low self worth, depression, and anxiety. I value a warm yet direct approach that meets people where they are at. Therapy is never rushed, in my sessions I follow your energy. Over my career I have found a special place in my heart for those with trauma and substance use. Although this is not the only population I work with, I have taken it upon myself to seek additional trainings in these areas. In addition to the license and certifications I hold, I am also EMDR trained through EMDRIA.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
My first session is very laid back. I like to get a feel for if we are a right fit for each other. I like to hear your concerns and what you expect to receive from therapy. I also share my vision of how I see us moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
My approach is authentic. I will never pretend to be something I am not, I will never pretend to know something I don't and I don't expect that from you either. Lets just be real and get your needs met. I'm assuming by this response you can tell I am also very much to the point.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I serve adults with a desire to make a positive transition in their lives.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy
Prolonged exposure is a specific type of cognitive behavioral therapy that teaches individuals to gradually approach trauma-related memories, feelings and situations.
Motivational Interviewing
Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.
