You may look like you have things together on the outside, but inside feel overwhelmed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. Many of the people I work with are high-functioning, responsible, and used to being the one others rely on, yet privately feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to slow down and take care of themselves. I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Often, they are managing demanding careers, family responsibilities, or relationship stress while quietly feeling like it is never enough or wondering why things still feel so heavy. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), specializing in helping clients understand and shift long-standing emotional and relational patterns that keep them feeling stuck. Clients often describe me as easy to talk to and appreciate that they can be fully honest in a way they may not feel comfortable doing elsewhere. I provide a space where you do not have to filter yourself. I also bring a broad perspective shaped by living in different parts of the U.S. and traveling extensively internationally, which has deepened my ability to connect with people from many backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. In addition, my experience in Corporate America leadership roles gives me a strong understanding of workplace pressure, burnout, performance expectations, and the emotional toll of high-responsibility environments.

Hello, my name is Ronak Makadia, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) with additional training in social work (MSW). As a second-generation, Asian American I quickly learned the stigma and shame attached to attending therapy, especially within the Asian American community. As a cis-gender woman of color, I value and will provide culturally competent services. Please note that I only accept adults and older adults who are high-functioning but need support to overcome barriers. Due to the nature of my private practice, I am unable to accept clients who are seeking treatment for trauma, substance use or severe mental illness. I work alongside patients to overcome any barriers they may be facing. I will always encourage you to create, learn, and consistently use healthy coping mechanisms. To avoid staying stuck, I collaborate with you in developing solutions to aid you in moving forward in your life. We all get stuck sometimes and I am here to help. Therapy does not have to be a painful experience and I will be here to guide you toward improvement in a welcoming, affirmative environment. I support the movement to destigmatize therapy and make mental health care accessible for all. I will continue to support this mission and provide quality counseling. Talk to me about scheduling a first appointment if you are interested in working together. I look forward to working with you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing evidence-based, trauma-focused therapy to adults seeking emotional stability, personal growth, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), supporting clients in building emotional awareness, psychological flexibility, and resilience. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, and emotional dysregulation. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and integrative, combining talk therapy with hands-on, skills-based interventions that clients can actively practice both in and outside of session. Treatment focuses on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, values-based decision-making, and healthier interpersonal functioning. I believe therapy is most effective when it is structured, supportive, and empowering. I work closely with clients to identify treatment goals, increase emotional insight, and develop practical tools that help them manage overwhelming emotions, reduce reactivity, and respond more intentionally to life’s challenges. Clients often describe my style as direct, compassionate, and focused on real-world application. *I do not work with children under age 12 or adults over the age of 29. * Hi there! I’m Stephanie! I’m passionate about creating a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, sharing what they’re experiencing, and working toward meaningful change. I primarily work with teens and young adults who are navigating anxiety, academic stress, sports performance, peer relationships, family dynamics, self-esteem, motivation, and the many transitions that come with growing into adulthood. I believe therapy should feel collaborative and personalized; not like a one-size-fits-all approach. My goal is to meet each client where they are while helping them better understand themselves, build confidence, develop practical coping skills, and feel more capable of handling life’s challenges. I use a combination of CBT, solution-focused, person-centered, and motivational interviewing approaches based on each client’s unique needs and goals. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for something to change, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. I’m here to help you take that next step.

Do you feel stuck in a pattern that is negatively impacting your overall wellness? Just as important as the "why" is the "what" aspect of the mind. What we think, what we feel and what we believe are all intertwined with our behavior. Exploring the thoughts and beliefs that underpin certain actions can lead to profound self-awareness and personal growth. In my interactions with clients, I have witnessed the transformative power of uncovering and challenging deep-seated beliefs that no longer serve them. While patterns and commonalities may emerge among individuals, it is crucial to remember that each person's mind is a unique landscape. What works for one may not work for another, and it is my duty as a clinician to adapt the plan of care accordingly. As a therapist and health coach, I incorporate a holistic (mind/body) approach.

You can call me Dan. From a young age I was interested in a career that focused on helping people. I smile when I think about it, but there was a time I thought a career in medicine was what I wanted but I am so bad at math that didn't work out very well. There was a time I thought I was being called into ministry as a pastor, and I wanted to be a pastor that could counsel, but circumstances didn't allow that to happen either. Maybe it's ironic and maybe it's not but I'm not really that much of a talker so I never dreamed that becoming a therapist would be my thing. But then again, therapy is a lot about listening and I do that really well. I enjoy helping others move from places of frustration, and sometimes despair to places of hope and healing. I have always been taught that people deserve respect and to be treated with dignity regardless of what their issue is or where they come from and that is a value I continue to hold. I also find it interesting that the three careers I pursued had their focus in the three things I still believe are important for a life of fulfillment, purpose, and contentment and those are physical health, spiritual health and mental health. I received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1991, a Masters in Social Work degree in 1996 and my License as a Clinical Social Worker in 1997. I went back to school in 2016 and obtained a MBA in Healthcare Management in 2017. My 30 year career in mental health has been split between providing clinical services, supervising others in their provision of clinical services and administration in the area of Healthcare Quality and Compliance.

Stay focused, know your "Why?" And fulfill your purpose. Anxiety, PTSD, and depression are some of the leading reasons people seek therapy. Anxiety, PTSD, and depression can keep people from being able to reach their best potential because they focus on what could go wrong instead of what could go right. Life experiences and circumstances inform anxiety experiences. It is so important to have healthy coping skills to deal with anxiety, PTSD, and depression, so you are not overwhelmed. I would love to help you learn healthy coping skills to effectively get through struggles you may be going through. Your "someday I will work on reducing my anxiety" can start today by booking your first therapy appointment to gain healthy coping skills. I work with adults through individual therapy seeking support for everyday challenges such as stress, work-life balance, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, ADHD, emotional regulation. depression, anxiety, PTSD, career goal setting, communication skills, or life transitions to name a few. My approach is solution-focused and action oriented, to help you gain strategies you can begin using right away. I also accept Amazon EAP clients. For clients who value Christian faith as part of their journey, I also offer the option to incorporate prayer and biblical wisdom into our work together. Sessions will take place ONLY on the Grow Therapy portal. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency call 911 or go to your nearest ER. Severe and/or frequently severe mental health needs are best served in an in person mental health therapeutic setting. Clients needing intense therapy, court ordered therapy, therapy dealing with legal related issues of any kind, or custody involved therapy are best served by local in person mental health providers and resources.
