I have been an LCSW for 24 years. I have worked in a wide range of settings. I believe in taking a Holistic approach to mental health. My passion is working with people who are looking to cultivate a life that is focused on creating wellness in Mind, Body, and Spirit. I am a Christian Therapist and I am open to discussing and/or integrating faith into our work. I use an eclectic approach to working with my clients, as I want to meet you where you are at. Whether you are looking to find more time in a day, finding ways to address stress and anxiety, wanting to tackle limiting beliefs that are holding you back from your full potential, or that you want to talk about your faith in the midst of your struggle; together we can help you find the balance you are looking for in your life.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I take a Holistic approach to my work. This means that in your first session, I will spend a lot of time getting to know you. I believe in looking at all possible aspects of our health, as they could be influential factors to how our mental health is doing. Together we will work to create a life that focuses on creating balance in all areas of your life. Using a conversational approach we will discuss key areas of your life in an effort for me to learn how I might be the most help to you. During our first session we will set goals for our work together, as I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of collaboration.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Often the clients I see are struggling with feeling lost, stuck, anxious, and uncertain. I believe that life is like a puzzle that we don’t get the box top to. Therapy is a process of examining the pieces we can see, learning to discover pieces that are hidden or undiscovered, and figuring out how the puzzle pieces fit together. I feel one of my strengths is being able to help my clients find missing pieces. Often we explore alternative ways to think about our challenges and challenge old unproductive ways of thinking to help develop new perspectives on situations. Overall I think my strength is helping people find Hope when they previously found none. I do use a casual, conversation approach to my sessions with clients, but when necessary and beneficial I am straight forward and direct. We will focus on developing goals together to help you find the change you are looking for in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is looking to take a holistic approach to their mental health. Clients that are looking to integrate their belief in Christ to their sessions. I enjoy working with people who are battling stress from building lives and wanting to learn more effective skills, coping skills, managing their stress and relationships. I enjoy working with moms and the demands of parenthood.
