I am here to help correct these mistakes moving forward through improved cognition, awareness and decision making via CBT, ACT and DBT techniques.
I know how important my job is and I want my clients to know I will be there to listen, support and guide but not tell them how to live their lives.

While going to school for my MSW, I worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, hospice, schools and one on one with children. Hi, I am Lynn Ford. I am a licensed clinical social worker who utilizes a variety of evidenced based strategies to provide you with the tools you require to address your treatment goals. My belief is that therapy should be client-driven and goal-oriented. I have over a decade of experience working with people of all ages, including children, but my focus has recently been on 18-75 years of age with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, grief, ADHD and communication issues in regards to relationships and parenting. I strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, unbiased environment to empower individuals to explore their beliefs and concerns while gaining or enhancing skills to address their therapeutic needs.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in the Chicago Suburbs. I have 10 years of experience working in Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization, and Intensive Outpatient programs with women with mood disorders, eating disorders and trauma symptoms. I balance processing the memories and beliefs that keep clients stuck with building tangible skills that can help them manage their emotions outside of therapy.
I'm Ericka Whitley, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who is passionate about helping people recognize their strengths and navigate life's challenges with confidence. I work with children, teens, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented, helping clients gain insight, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change while feeling understood and empowered throughout the process.
I hold a Clinical Psychologist license to practice in Illinois. I completed my doctorate studies at Adler University. My professional experience in treatment spans over 25 years. I believe a person holds the ability to transform their life for the better. I find satisfaction in helping them advance on their path. The following examples show my methods for treating anxiety and depression.
The evidence-based treatment method I use for anxiety focuses on individualized symptom-specific approaches that match the client’s needs and personal preferences. The combination of repetitive and irrational thoughts about perceived danger, uncertainty or failure creates distressing mental states which may manifest as negative thought, such as: "I am not good enough" or "something bad will happen" or "I will be fired if I make a mistake."
I assist my clients to detect and fight their negative beliefs and thoughts. I guide clients to manage their anxiety symptoms with mindfulness breathing techniques and progressive muscle relaxation methods. With assigned homework including mindfulness exercises, I guide the client to maintain their progress and self-regulation between sessions.
My depression treatment approach matches each client's symptoms, their life history, and their social environment. Depression exists on a spectrum from temporary sadness to persistent and severe Major Depressive Disorder. The maintenance of depression relies on negative thoughts such as “I am worthless” or “Nothing will ever get better.” Our focus will be to identify and modify.
Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients view their depressive thoughts in a non-judgmental manner to reduce their rumination and emotional distress. By teaching problem solving skills and the practice of mindfulness helps the individual become more aware of their physical tension. Assigning homework guides the individual to improve sleep hygiene, self-care, and build effective coping strategies.

Hi! I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Illinois. I received my Masters degree in 2000 and have been working in the mental health field for over 20 years. I am committed to helping adults, young adults, adolescents and older adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, mood disorders, and stress management issues. I am looking forward to working with individuals who need support, an open and safe space to explore issues, and compassionate care! I work with clients who are struggling with grief, anxiety, depression or trauma. I also work with clients who may need assistance in processing everyday life stressors and want a supportive therapist whom they can confide in who will also challenge them and assist with problem-solving.
I also work with those facing reproductive challenges. As a compassionate and empathetic therapist, I understand the complex emotional and psychological impact that infertility and miscarriage can have. I can:
• Support you in maintaining hope, peace and positivity while navigating uncertainty and help you build resiliency as you work through obstacles.
• Help you to recognize and access your deeper intuition, so you are better equipped to honor your body, spirit and mind with the highest intention throughout your journey.
• Work with you on increasing clarity and purpose around your fertility journey.
• Utilize a holistic approach to address integrative lifestyle strategies that may be beneficial to your fertility path.
• Assist you in addressing relationship difficulties that can arise out of the stress of fertility challenges, help you develop strategies to increase intimacy with your partner and foster healthy communication.
For women and men who have experienced reproductive loss:
• The devastating and seemingly invisible pain of losing a pregnancy is unique in that it involves not only the loss of your baby, but also involves the loss of the future - and there is no accepted way to mark that loss. Sometimes it seems that friends and family members expect the person to move on quickly. Partners often grieve differently - and for men, the trauma of miscarriage is often overlooked. Also, some women may suffer guilt or shame associated with the loss that doesn't tend to occur with other types of grieving.
• There is no universal template for grief. Together, we will address your unique needs as you work through your grieving process.

I am a licensed clinical therapist in the states of New Jersey, North Carolina, Virginia, Delaware, Illinois, and Missouri with 10 years of professional clinical work experience. My focus of practice is individual therapy within the adult and adolescent psychiatric population. I have years of experience treating patients experiencing depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship issues, mood instability, or anger management.
Life can become complicated when the strategies that once worked stop working. Whether you're navigating a recent ADHD or AuDHD diagnosis, struggling with burnout, anxiety, depression, or major life changes, it can feel like you're trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces.
As someone who was diagnosed later in life, I understand both the relief and the disruption that can come from finally having an explanation for lifelong challenges. That experience has shaped my approach to therapy and deepened my appreciation for the resilience people develop while trying to navigate a world that wasn't designed with their needs in mind.
My work is grounded in the belief that every person has a unique nervous system, unique strengths, and unique challenges. Rather than treating a label, I focus on understanding you as a whole person. I draw from established therapy approaches, neuroscience, and our growing understanding of the connection between the brain and body. I also believe that therapy doesn't have to feel cold or clinical. Humor, relatable analogies, and practical tools are often part of our conversations.
I work primarily with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted from constantly trying to keep up. Many are navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the loss of skills that can accompany chronic stress and burnout. I also provide an affirming space for clients in kink, polyamorous, and other consensual nontraditional relationships.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself, reduce overwhelm, build sustainable strategies, and create a life that feels more authentic and manageable. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can work through it together, one step at a time.

I strive to create a warm, validating space where you can understand yourself more clearly and move toward the life you want.
Hi, I'm Emily. I have been a psychotherapist for 10 years working exclusively with adults. I work with female identifying individuals who are dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, postpartum, prenatal, as well as other concerns. As a mother myself I have a understanding how obstacles can affect balance. If you are looking for a safe space to explore your needs and how to work towards healing contact me for a consult.
If you are contemplating the decision to start or re-start therapy here are some ways it can benefit you including improving insight/ self awareness, improve coping skills / healthy habits as well as having a safe space to talk about struggles.
I utilize multiple approaches to best fit your needs and utilize practical everyday approaches for busy lifestyles.
