(he/him)
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and the owner of a private practice providing mental health counseling services to individuals across the lifespan. My clinical work focuses on trauma-informed care, emotional wellness, and supporting clients as they navigate personal, relational, and life challenges. In addition to clinical practice, I serve as an adjunct professor and clinical supervisor, where I enjoy supporting and developing the next generation of mental health professionals. I have ADHD and autoimmune issues which I have helped others in their journey to understand themselves or their loved one's lived experiences. I am also silly, goofy, funny (at times), and I love to insert humor. When it comes time to be serious and foucs on mental health pertaining to my clients, then you will see either me as your therapeutic ally or your number one supporting advocate chaering you on or helping you to figure out ways to overcome your circumstances.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to counseling, what you’re experiencing, and what you hope to accomplish. There is no need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door, therapy is not a pop quiz, and I promise there is no wrong answer. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can be yourself, ask questions, and feel heard. Together, we’ll identify your goals and develop a plan that fits your needs, your life, and your pace, with a little humor along the way when appropriate.
My approach is existential at its core, but eclectic in practice. I believe therapy should help you understand not only what you are experiencing, but also who you are, what matters to you, and where you want your life to go. I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches and tailor treatment to the individual rather than taking a “one-size-fits-all” approach, because you are a person, not a diagnosis or a checkbox on a treatment plan. I bring clinical expertise, authenticity, compassion, and a little humor into the process, creating a space where meaningful growth can happen without taking ourselves too seriously. The most important thing is, you are the expert of you, so we will help you figure what is meaningful to help you achieve the best results in life.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to better understand themselves, explore what may be holding them back, and create meaningful change in their life. They may be navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, life transitions, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. You do not have to have all the answers, or even know exactly where to begin. An openness to self-exploration, honest conversation, and trying something different is a great place to start. I work collaboratively with clients to help them discover what matters, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.
I use an existential approach to help clients explore meaning, purpose, identity, freedom, responsibility, and the choices they make in response to life’s challenges. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, I help clients understand how their experiences have shaped the way they see themselves, their relationships, and the world around them. I use an authentic, collaborative approach that encourages self-awareness, personal responsibility, and meaningful change while respecting each client’s individual values, beliefs, and life experiences.
