I am a therapist who utilizes a humanistic and holistic approach when working with client who are struggling with life stressors. My clinical focus is strength based with the treatment goals of helping individuals navigate life and working towards being the healthiest version of themselves. I have experience working with trauma, depression, barriers to change, personality and identity struggles, as well as anxiety and grief.
I want to the first session to feel genuine, comfortable, and like the beginning of a positive, healthy journey. The first thing that needs to happen is for each of us to spend some time getting to know one another. I will have questions about why you have come to therapy, what your goals and expectations are for your time in treatment, and how I can assist you on your path.
I have been told that one of my greatest strengths is my authentic, genuine presentation. I have a warm, friendly personality that tends to assist in building rapport and developing a strong relationship with clients. Once rapport is established, my therapeutic style focuses on encouragement and providing caring, constructive feedback in a way that the client can hear and take in.
I utilize psychodynamic theory in my practice to assist in the assessment of core values, beliefs, and how early developmental experiences impacted a client's personality and worldview.
