Hi, I’m Angela. I understand that reaching out for support is often the hardest part of the journey, especially when you feel life is heavy or uncertain. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are navigating the complexities of recovery, the weight of grief, or the shifting transitions of midlife. As both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Addiction Counselor, I have invested significant additional education and clinical hours specifically in the field of addiction. Welcome—I’m truly glad you’re here. I bring a warm, grounded, and collaborative approach to this work, shaped by graduating with honors in my Master’s program and earning my Bachelor’s in Social Work with a Minor in Human Services. With 17 years of experience supporting at‑risk youth and families across Illinois, Kansas, and Missouri—and roughly five years in a direct therapeutic role—I’ve learned that healing is most powerful when mind, body, and spirit are invited into the process.
My background includes specialized training in DBT, ASIST, trauma‑responsive care, and emerging work with elders through grief support and medical assessments. My practice continues to expand as I deepen my understanding of military culture and the unique stressors faced by Service Members, Veterans, and their families. I integrate training in reintegration support, deployment‑related stress, and identity transitions to help military‑connected clients navigate life with clarity and strength. I am honored to now offer supportive therapeutic services to clients in the state of Virginia.
As a Licensed Massage Therapist, Somatic Therapy remains one of my first passions and is available for in‑person sessions. This body‑based approach helps clients release stored tension, regulate the nervous system, and reconnect with the wisdom of their physical and emotional selves. When the body softens, the mind opens—and healing becomes more accessible, more intuitive, and more aligned.
My work is guided by a simple belief:
~When people feel safe, seen, and supported, they naturally move toward wholeness.~
It’s an honor to walk alongside you as you reconnect with yourself and step into a life that feels grounded, authentic, and spiritually aligned.

Life can become complicated when the strategies that once worked stop working. Whether you're navigating a recent ADHD or AuDHD diagnosis, struggling with burnout, anxiety, depression, or major life changes, it can feel like you're trying to solve a puzzle without all the pieces.
As someone who was diagnosed later in life, I understand both the relief and the disruption that can come from finally having an explanation for lifelong challenges. That experience has shaped my approach to therapy and deepened my appreciation for the resilience people develop while trying to navigate a world that wasn't designed with their needs in mind.
My work is grounded in the belief that every person has a unique nervous system, unique strengths, and unique challenges. Rather than treating a label, I focus on understanding you as a whole person. I draw from established therapy approaches, neuroscience, and our growing understanding of the connection between the brain and body. I also believe that therapy doesn't have to feel cold or clinical. Humor, relatable analogies, and practical tools are often part of our conversations.
I work primarily with adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or exhausted from constantly trying to keep up. Many are navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, relationship challenges, or the loss of skills that can accompany chronic stress and burnout. I also provide an affirming space for clients in kink, polyamorous, and other consensual nontraditional relationships.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself, reduce overwhelm, build sustainable strategies, and create a life that feels more authentic and manageable. You don't need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can work through it together, one step at a time.
I wish to help clients by building trust and offering practical tools to manage stress, improve communication, and navigate life transitions. I enhance self-awareness with honest feedback, and uses humor to create a relaxed space. I validate experiences and tailors therapy, fostering resilience and well-being through a supportive and collaborative approach.
Life's transitions can feel overwhelming, leaving you disconnected & unsure of where to turn. If you're seeking a supportive guide through these challenges, consider reaching out. I understand the importance of genuine connection and offers a warm, conversational approach to therapy. I'm ready to listen, offer honest feedback, and take the journey with you.
It's important for therapists to be, first and foremost, real human beings in relation to clients. I know how to be a therapist. You know how to be you. I try to bring understanding and, when appropriate, humor into my work with people. Therapy is where you can try on different parts of yourself in a non-judgemental environment. What happens in session can reflect what you experience in your everday life. This provides you with perspective to live a more fufilling life. I work remotely, but find that this is not a barrier to real connection.
