Dr. Ebony is the founder of Myrtle Street Counseling. At Myrtle Street Counseling we recognize that everyone needs help from time to time, but the hardest step is asking for help. Now that you’re here, you are well on your way to living the life you want. We use systemic thinking and various therapies and techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Narrative therapy, Solution focused brief therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness techniques to help our clients live better lives.
We encourage our clients to share their faith in therapy as this is a huge source of strength in the healing process. At MSC, we aim to provide exceptional care to professional, women of color.
We also enjoy working with older children (10+), individuals, couples, families and groups. Some issues we have worked with are anxiety, depression, life-transitions (e.g. school, relocations, physical illnesses), child adjustments, PTSD, and grief. We look forward to witnessing your transformation in therapy!
I believe it is important in therapy to provide collaborative efforts to help assist individuals who may be navigating through challenging times and are in need of support. In life there are moments of uncertainty and unpredictability that may yield the need for specific guidance that is unique to the individual or family. I am able to offer warm concern that is focused on achieving personal change and growth goals. My ultimate purpose is to connect, understand, and grow therapeutic relationships that are tailored to the needs and desires of the client.
Have you been struggling to find purpose and meaning in your life? Is it leading to anxiety and depression? Welcome to a safe space to talk about your hopes, fears and dreams. Journey with me on a path of discovering what will truly make you happy. You were made for great things. If you are ready to get started, sign up for a session today.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relational betrayal, or a major life transition you don’t have to process these emotions alone.
Treating behavior alone doesn't heal the root cause because our bodies carry the stories our minds struggle to process. In our sessions, we slow down. I will guide you to notice where emotions are being held in your body, help you name them, and identify the 'story' and needs behind that feeling. Together, we learn to honor those needs, providing the relief and self-trust that talk therapy alone often misses.
My path to becoming a therapist was shaped by my desire to help people heal beneath the surface and reclaim their sense of identity and authentic self.
My approach to therapy is integrative and person-centered, meaning I blend evidence-based modalities like CBT, ACT, and Narrative therapy based on your unique needs. However, the core of my work is a somatic, 'bottom-up' approach. This is based on the belief that emotions and trauma are stored in the body and that treating behavior alone doesn't heal the root cause.
The approaches used in session, help clients to manage overwhelming emotions, challenge negative thought patterns, and release the stress their bodies hold onto after trauma. These methods help clients find relief from anxiety, depression, grief, and relational betrayal in ways that last beyond the therapy room.
My style is explorational, affirmative and always respectful of where you’ve come from and the goals you’d like to meet in the coming days. We’ll explore your life experiences--and seek to add understanding and self-compassion. I am a Board-Certified Fellow in the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress licensed in Massachusetts, Oregon and Florida, and I have earned two Masters degrees--my second Masters is in Counseling Psychology.
As a licensed clinical social worker and the founder of Reveal 2 Heal, I am dedicated to empowering women to navigate the complexities of trauma, anxiety, and depression. My mission is clear: to help you reveal the things that may be stopping your healing. In our work together, we’ll uncover what lies beneath the surface—those aspects of your life you may be avoiding—because I believe that true healing begins when we face what needs to be revealed.
Come, let me lead you on a journey of self-discovery! Your journey will be filled with possibilities and opportunities; I am unlike other therapists. I am a change agent! Our discussions will be interactive by utilizing experiential wisdom and clinical practice. Expect more. I am a Doctor of Social Work and a scholar-practitioner with three social work degrees. I am an LCSW for Florida State and an LMSW for New York State. I recognize the ancient Buddhist teachings of Kathoey Culture. My greatest strength is helping people move beyond being stuck, feeling vulnerable and invisible to society. I see you! I have dedicated my professional life to serving others.
I specialize in culturally competent care, providing evidence-based therapy for individuals facing emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. I meet clients where they are and offer personalized guidance to foster healing, hope, and self-discovery, helping them recognize and achieve their ultimate potential.
You don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Together, we can navigate your journey toward healing, hope, and personal growth. Let’s work to create a safe, inclusive space where your voice matters and your goals are within reach. Take the first step toward transformation today.

About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with 26 years of professional experience, as well as a Qualified Supervisor for new interns.
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, and East Brunswick, NJ, until age 23, I moved to Pembroke Pines, Jupiter, and now reside in Sarasota, FL.
I have personally conquered Bipolar Disorder, ADHD, Major Depression, Anxiety, OCD, CPTSD, Addictions of Gambling, Sex, Cars, and Weed, Codependency, Divorce, Custody, and Parenting Issues.
I have the ability to mend relationships, as I have brought my relationship with my wife from shambles to diamonds, and our "ship" is still moving North in the direction we both want, despite our differences and disagreements along the way. There is no more all-or-nothing thinking or engagement in back-and-forth arguments or break-ups; instead, there is peace, love, cooling off, and acceptance of our different attachment styles, love languages, personalities, and brain designs.
I am 6 years and 9 months sober from marijuana (December 30, 2019), and sober from the addictions of gambling, sex, and buying expensive cars beyond my means.
I firmly believe we learn something new or reinforce a life lesson every day.
Personal and Professional Growth equates to extra Health, Happiness, and Longevity.
I have 9-year-old fraternal twin boys, 2 stepchildren, ages 25 and 26, two cats and two dogs, a wife, and a mother-in-law.

My approach to therapy is solution-focused, compassionate, and centered on helping clients build lasting skills. Rather than simply helping someone get through the current crisis, I want to equip them with the tools they need to navigate future challenges with greater confidence and independence.
I focus on identifying and addressing the underlying issues that drive recurring patterns, whether that's unresolved childhood trauma, deeply held negative beliefs about oneself, or other core experiences. My goal is to help clients process those experiences, challenge unhelpful cognitions, and develop healthier, more adaptive beliefs about themselves.
While it's important to acknowledge and address what's happening in a client's life right now, I believe lasting change comes from understanding and working through the deeper patterns that contribute to those challenges. I strive to balance supporting clients through present-day concerns with helping them create meaningful, long-term change.
