Psychotherapy is a professional treatment that focuses on helping individuals manage emotional difficulties, navigate life challenges, and improve their mental health. It's often referred to as "talk therapy" and involves a trained therapist guiding clients through their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. How Psychotherapy Works Therapeutic Relationship: At the heart of psychotherapy is a safe, supportive relationship between the therapist and the client. This environment fosters trust, allowing individuals to express their thoughts and emotions openly. Understanding Issues: Through conversation, therapists help clients identify and understand their struggles, whether they relate to depression, anxiety, relationships, or self-esteem. Coping Strategies: Therapists teach clients effective coping strategies and tools to manage their emotions and behaviors. This can include techniques for stress reduction, communication skills, and problem-solving approaches. Self-Discovery: Psychotherapy encourages self-reflection and personal growth. Clients often gain insights into their patterns and behaviors, which can lead to lasting change. What Psychotherapy Is Not Not a Quick Fix: Psychotherapy is not a one-time solution or a quick fix for problems. It typically requires ongoing sessions to make meaningful progress. Not Simply Venting: While it provides a space to express feelings, psychotherapy goes beyond just venting. It involves actively working on understanding and addressing issues. Not Medical Treatment: Psychotherapy is distinct from medical treatment, such as medication prescribed by a psychiatrist. While medication may be part of a comprehensive treatment plan, psychotherapy focuses solely on psychological and emotional processes.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The ideal client for this therapist embodies several characteristics that align with their expertise in Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) and focus on radical acceptance. This client seeks a supportive and understanding environment where they can explore their unique challenges and experiences: Neurodivergent Individuals Clients who identify as neurodivergent may benefit significantly from the therapist’s lived experiences and nuanced understanding of cognitive and emotional diversity. I have had several therapist throughout my adult life. This is my favorite therapist of them all. I have several reasons. He is knowledgeable you can tell he his several tools available to use to help you and he actively uses them. His memory is very effective as well, he accounts for your personality, traits, and mental habits so he can effectively challenge you and guide you. Working with him you will feel confident that you will reach whatever goal you have and fell supported along the way.

I've been with Dr. Greene well over 2 years now & I can't tell you how much of an impact he's made in my life. From navigating major life changes to just the confidence in myself he's been able to pull out of me, he's someone that never talks AT me, also TO me. And the difference is why I haven't seen anyone else. I trust him, he supports me, and also challenges me to be better.
