I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with several years of experience providing trauma-informed therapy. My work mainly focuses on helping clients understand and manage the effects of trauma, chronic stress, and overwhelming life events. As a military spouse, I have firsthand insight into how prolonged uncertainty, transitions, and cumulative stress impact individuals, which informs my compassionate and grounded approach to care. I use evidence-based, trauma-focused methods to help clients develop emotional regulation, boost self-awareness, and regain safety and stability. Many clients face anxiety, relationship issues, hypervigilance, emotional numbness, or trauma-related patterns. Therapy is a collaborative process, carefully paced to let clients participate comfortably without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Earlier in my career, I mainly worked with children and adolescents. Currently, I focus on supporting adults and couples, while still working with teen clients. This experience helps me understand how early experiences, attachment styles, and relationship dynamics can affect current functioning and relationships. I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and respectful therapeutic environment where clients can freely explore their experiences, acquire practical coping skills, and progress toward healing at a pace that feels safe and sustainable.

Hi there — I’m Jayne’, and I’m so glad you’re here! As a Licensed Professional Counselor serving Georgia and Florida, I specialize in working with those 28 and up who are high‑achievers, couples and individuals who feel deeply driven in their professional lives—yet somehow disconnected or stuck in their relationships, their sense of self, or the way they move through life. You might recognize yourself if you’ve excelled in your career or set high standards for yourself, but find that your closest relationships — whether intimate, professional, or internal — aren’t feeling as connected, grounded, or fulfilling as you’d hoped. Maybe you desire genuine and fulfilling personal connections, yet you sense that fear or an inability to be vulnerable, relational habits, past trauma or unspoken patterns are quietly shaping how you engage with others or even how you show up for yourself. In our work together, you’ll find a safe, thought-provoking, judgment‑free space to explore all of that paired with exercises and tools to connect more intentionally with others. I bring a blend of thoughtful challenge and genuine support — we’ll honor your drive and successes, while gently opening up the deeper layers of your relational world: your attachment style, your inner voice, your relational patterns, your leadership role or identity and your emotional safety. Whether you’re an individual longing to bring your hard‑won success into a more connected, authentic life or a couple seeking more alignment and connection — I’m here to meet you where you are and help you move toward where you long to be. You don’t have to settle for high achievement and relational dissatisfaction. There’s another way — one where your strengths become bridges to deeper connection, not barriers. Thank you for taking this step on the journey toward greater intimacy, presence and relational ease.

I have been licensed as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 2004, and have held a supervision designation since 2015. I have also held a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor with a supervision/training designation license since 2018. I have maintained a private counseling practice in Chillicothe since 2000, and I continue to work with individuals and families in that capacity. I have dedicated my career to helping others and to working with the community to ensure the well-being of families and children. My most common theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Christian Therapy, but I am proud to be able to use a multitude of approaches, dependent on what works best for the client(s) involved. I value the individual and the couple regardless of age or philosophical approach to their life or relationship. I see my goal of treatment as improving the individual or couple to be the best they want to be. My communication tone or approach tends to be direct but laid back. My name is Dr. Olushola Bakare, and I'm a board-certified Psychotherapist. I attended St Joseph College. I'm happy to help you today with any of your concerns. I enjoy empowering people and digging out their strengths. I don't ask fish to fly, neither do I ask birds to swim. I respect everyone's strengths and help my client recognize them. I love to highlight my client's strengths. I offer a safe, warm, therapeutic, judgment-free space for Adults (18+) and Older Adults (65+). I am sorry, but I do not accept clients who pay in cash. Also, every late cancellation or no-show accrues a late charge fee. It is my ethical duty to officially terminate our therapeutic relationship when it is reasonably clear that the client is no longer beneficent, services are no longer required, counseling no longer serves the client's needs and interests, or Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT limits do not allow the provision of further counseling services. It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that our professional relationship will be terminated after a one-month consistent lapse of meeting with a client. Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after one month. My ethical duty is identifying, being available, and caring for current clients. It could feel awkward for our relationship to end, yet it is not meant to be discourteous in any way. I do not complete disability forms (Social Security, work excuse, FMLA, Court papers/legal papers, emotional support letters, etc). NO COUPLE THERAPY OR MEDICATION MANAGEMENT, PLEASE!

I’m an attachment-based therapist, which means I believe that relationships—past and present—shape how we see ourselves and others. If you're an adult facing life’s challenges, I’m here to support you in understanding your experiences and how they’ve shaped your emotional world. I take a holistic approach to therapy, honoring the spiritual aspects of life while also grounding our work in compassion and connection. I understand that everyone’s story is unique, and I bring cultural sensitivity to my work to ensure that your background, identity, and lived experience are respected in our sessions. If you're dealing with anxiety, grief, trauma, or any other emotional or life challenge, I’ll work with you to unpack those feelings in a safe, supportive space. I use a blend of therapeutic approaches, including psychodynamic therapy and EMDR, tailored to what’s most helpful for you. Our work together is rooted in creating a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to make meaningful changes. My goal is simple: to help you explore your emotions, gain insight into what’s going on inside, and discover or rediscover your strengths. I want you to walk away from each session feeling a little more grounded, a little more whole, and confident in your ability to heal and grow. I work well with people who are ready to do the work—whether that’s unpacking painful past experiences or making sense of current struggles. You might be someone who is struggling with anxiety, grief, loss, or the effects of trauma. You might be looking for clarity in your relationships, or searching for more self-understanding and self-worth. Whatever you’re going through, I’m here to help guide you through it with care, respect, and patience.

Do you feel overwhelmed these days? Are you constantly trying to strike a balance between the demands of work and parenting or co-parenting, while also managing your health, housework, and perhaps other demands? In your family, does the caretaking always fall to you? Are you experiencing depression and anxiety in reaction to either a past trauma and/or burnout from stress? I work with women who are experiencing what I like to call "multiple-role fatigue". I have experience in treating depression, anxiety, and trauma-related stress disorders common to women who face an ever-mounting load of responsibilities in a complex society, where being a mother or a caretaker often comes with diverse challenges and responsibilities. I also like to work with clients on their recovery from trauma. With this in mind, I incorporate various treatment modalities, where healing and recovery can take place through a combination of compassionate conversation, active listening, homework assignments journaling, mindfulness, self-reflection, cognitive behavior therapy, grief counseling, boundary setting and trauma-informed care. I also offer a faith-based support, where clients seeking a Christian approach are welcome. I like to form a supportive alliance with caregivers to help them navigate the demands of parenting a child or children with higher needs. I focus on parental needs, and I work with clients using evidence-based techniques to empower them to achieve balance and experience lasting well-being. For parents, I'm a big advocate of self-care, and I help my clients learn to nurture themselves in a sustainable way to avoid burnout. I also believe that parents need to feel seen and heard, and the stress of parenting cannot be overemphasized. Forming a partnership with parents, giving them a forum in which they feel consistently supported in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, therefore, is one of my top priorities as a therapist.

You may feel desperate, alone, and misunderstood. You feel like you are floating in the bottom of a lake and cannot see the light above you. Everyday, you feel like you are just going through the motions. If this describes you, then I may be the therapist for you. In my nearly twenty years of experience, I have helped people like you reach their potential and achieve the recovery that they needed. There is no set system or quick fix as others may promise, but I will walk down the road with you. My primary focus is on helping you deal with ambiguity. Often our thoughts and subsequently what we teach ourselves becomes rigid and fairly black and white. Using a pragmatic and authentic approach to therapy I try and help you be okay with things that are beyond your control and work with you to establish yourself as the protagonist in your own story. This is primarily accomplished through conversation and allowing you the client to guide the therapy in the direction it needs to go.

With a deep passion for breaking the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health, I have dedicated the last ten years to assisting individuals who grapple with the complex interplay of mental health issues and underlying substance abuse. I’ve witnessed how the societal stigma often conceals the very real barriers individuals face in their daily lives. My mission is to empower them with coping skills and strategies that allow them to embrace a life of recovery and resilience. As a therapist, I focus on guiding patients towards building essential skills to overcome their challenges. I believe that mental health issues come in myriad forms, and it is our duty to provide support, unburdened by negative stereotypes and judgment. Welcome — You Deserve to Feel Safe and Heard If you’re here, you might be feeling scared to reach out. Maybe you’re worried about being judged, or afraid you’ll end up with a therapist who only asks, “And how does that make you feel?” without truly helping. You may be: Feeling overwhelmed or like it’s hard to breathe. Carrying tightness in your chest from constant worry. Struggling with hopelessness and the sense that life is always against you. Hearing others dismiss your pain, telling you that you’re “overreacting.” Facing challenges in your relationship—whether it’s conflict, thoughts of divorce, or infidelity. Working through identity concerns (gender, body image, or self-worth). Feeling pressure to be perfect, or feeling angry, stuck, and stressed without healthy coping tools. If any of this resonates with you, I want you to know: you are not alone, and help is possible. Together, we can create a space where you feel safe, supported, and empowered to heal.

I specialize in working with mothers navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout, and the deep identity shifts that come with parenthood. Whether your trauma is recent or rooted in childhood, becoming a mom has a way of bringing it to the surface. The sleepless nights, the mental load, the pressure to “do it all,” it can stir up old wounds in ways no one prepared you for. I am licensed to see clients in WA, CO, and FL.

Hello, My name is Philomena , but you can call me Philo, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker- Qualified Supervisor in the state of Florida who has been in the field since 2013. My work history is colored with working with Teen Mother experiencing Crisis Pregnancy who opted to parent or place their children for adoption, assessing the Veteran population for biopsychosocial needs, and working in the educational setting as a School Therapist for Middle and High School age students. I have a love for Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies and Social Work Practice with the Elderly and have Undergrad and Graduate Certificates in both areas, respectively. While my resume and credentials may speak to my professional qualifications, I have many additional experiences that support my knowledge and cultural sensitivity. I offer a zeal for working with older teens, young adults, and women wishing to manifest change in their lives. I have worked with students struggling under social pressures and depression and have a natural knack for life skills, career guidance and helping others adjust to "Adulting." I firmly believe in the connectivity to ourselves and our environment and utilize a Systems / Strength-Based approach, focusing on what can be accomplished rather than deficits. Working as a Psychotherapist at NOLA Adulting LLC, I am able to help in bridging the gap between what formal education has taught us and life experiences. High School has prepared us for solving the quadratic equation, running a mile under 10 minutes, and understanding that in 1492 Columbus sailed the ocean blue, but we are not prepared on how to manage that feeling of emptiness we may experience post graduation and entering the workforce, setting appropriate boundaries in interpersonal relationships, or correct work email etiquette when we are fed up.

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals and couples build healthier, more connected relationships. Over the past 12 years, I’ve supported clients in breaking destructive patterns, improving communication, and creating relationships rooted in respect and understanding. I believe that when relationships struggle, it’s often because of conflicting expectations, unmet needs, or repeated behaviors that no longer serve us. My role is to help you recognize these patterns and choose new ways of communicating that create connection instead of conflict. I use a holistic approach that considers the mind, body, and spirit, helping you grow not just in your relationships, but as a whole person.

My name is Mary Vaughan and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of Florida. I have been in the mental health business for 35+ years. I love my work and that is the reason have stayed in it as long as I have. I am a military brat and I have moved around in Europe and many states. Before I begin to work with a client, I tell them some of my background. It is my opinion the client should know something about his/her counselor before we begin our work. I have had very successful results working with people who suffer from some kind of abuse ( either in childhood or as a young adult.) If abuse has occurred at most any age, the individual may come to me and tell me that they are experincing stress, depression, anxiety and/or panic attacks. Before beginning counseling, I inform the client that we will have a questioning and answer process. This allows the client and me to get to know each other a little better. Based on the information I gather about my client, we discuss what the client wants from their sessions. The individual and I work together as a team. In this process, the client gains a sense of self-esteem and a sense of control over their lives going forward in the future. Finding the right "fit" of counselor and client is key to a successful experience for the client. After the counselor gives the client some unique coping skills, the counselor asks the client if these skills might work for them. These coping skills are "Fluid" and can be modified and changed as we proceed in the counseling process.

I am a bilingual therapist that uses a culturally competent lens to empower individuals. I utilize a down to earth, genuine, and caring approach to help clients build resilience, heal from life’s challenges, and unlock their own strengths. My parents came from Cuba in order to open up the doors for me to have what they never had the opportunity to obtain. I am the first person in my family to attend college and to this day the majority of my family does not speak English. My family raised me in a culture where family and relationships are highly valued. I feel very fortunate to have blended cultural values and morals, as this helps me better understand others from different cultures. Are you struggling with crippling guilt and anxiety? Are you caught in a spiral of worry or stress you can’t stop, constantly second-guessing yourself? You feel stuck in the loop of “what ifs”: “what if I fail?”, “what if I lose my job?”, etc. Has owning a business & battling the daily overwhelm of the constant anxious thoughts gotten to be more than you can handle? Are you a first/second gen who is feeling the exhaustion of being the first at everything? You're a tightrope walker, trying to balance others expectations with your own desires. You feel like you’re never “good enough” and are tired of the guilt. Is parenting an overachieving anxious teen leaving you feeling at a complete loss as to how to help them or where to even begin? Hi, I’m Tery, I specialize in anxiety with a special interest/focus in first/ second gen, entrepreneurs, and teens. If you’re looking for a therapist who can relate and will interweave authenticity with a refreshingly no-bullshit, direct approach, then you have come to the right place.

I am a professional characterized by her humanism and vocation for service who firmly believes that the good life is a process, not a state of being, it is a direction, not a destination. Therapy is a path to self-knowledge. Therapy helps to redefine problems and see them as opportunities, learning. You need to be brave to enter the path of therapy, you need commitment and willingness, only then will you see results.

Anxiety, depression, and relationship issues are experiences that many of us encounter at various times in our lives. If you are feeling overwhelmed by negative emotions or believe you are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any combination of stressors affecting your peace of mind and relationships, "you don't have to keep feeling this way." You are not alone in your struggles, and you deserve to regain the peace of mind and joy that seem to elude you right now. "Let's find a way forward together - with compassion, clarity, and lasting change." My primary goal is to help you transition from merely feeling good to truly living well. Whether you are facing a specific crisis or a slow accumulation of challenges that has left you feeling unlike yourself, my clinical work offers a safe, judgment-free space to begin moving toward greater clarity and well-being. I draw on a carefully integrated blend of evidence-based frameworks, selecting and tailoring techniques based on each client's unique needs, history, and goals. My therapeutic approach combines Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Process-Based Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with mind-body techniques. This approach is grounded in the belief that lasting change requires attending to the whole person — mind, body, and the relational world we inhabit. Through ACT, you will learn to be more psychologically present, connect with your values, and make space for life’s inevitable pain. You will also discover how to take actionable steps despite emotional discomfort and cultivate an appreciation for each moment in your life. While my specialty is brief therapy, some situations may require an extended therapeutic relationship, which can be beneficial for adults and parents dealing with complex mental health challenges and navigating difficult child-rearing adjustments at home.

John Checkett is the first man in history to earn a master's degree in Women's Studies in Florida. How many times has this happened to you: You've made an innocent remark, and the other person distorts it and blames you for the distortion, not for what you actually said. That's called the Strawman Argument and is a common problem of communication -- communication typically being the single biggest problem couples have. Communication is one of the social sciences, and one of John's specialties, along with Women's Studies, Pastoral Psychology and Clinical Social Work. He helps high-functioning men and women free themselves from low self-esteem and negative thinking. As a former officer in the Theosophical Society and a former professional psychic, he firmly believes in the value of Spirituality to Mental Health. He can also help with exercise and nutrition, to help create a holistically healthy situation for you. Whether you're dealing with anxiety or depression, relationship problems, or just feel overwhelmed, Prof Checkett is here to help -- even with time management! You might feel bit nervous about starting therapy, but he's extremely easy to talk to, knowledgeable in a wide variety of subjects, and very media-literate. Most people feel better after a session. In a short time we can get you unstuck and back to living a happy life again.
