About me

Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kentucky, Georgia, and Florida. I have been practicing in behavioral health for 22 years and I have a diverse background to help with your current struggles and condition. I provide individual therapy, family therapy, and couples counseling. I help Patients with newly diagnosed conditions and to learn ways to cope with ongoing health problems and life challenges. My specialty is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), family systems modalities, the Gottman Method, Solution Focused Therapy, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, TF-CBT, NLP and Life Coaching, Psychoeducation, and Motivational Interviewing. I provide EAP counseling and help with workplace concerns and employment/employer issues. I help Patients reach effective solutions to their varied challenges and needs. I believe that each individual can overcome struggles and learn ways to self heal. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of problems and diagnosis including PTSD and trauma, personality disorders, serious mental illness (SMI), sleep difficulties, anxiety, stress, career difficulties, suicidality, self-injury, abuse and neglect, anger, depression, grief and loss, ADHD, adjustment issues and transitions. I help with family conflicts, marital problems, relationship struggles, and couples in varying stages of their relationship from pre-marital counseling, divorce, remarriage, co-parenting, blended family issues, and family court-related issues. I help to empower Patients and guide them to self-discovery and develop healthy coping strategies, problem-solve, and learn skills to help themselves and to handle life challenges and their mental health symptoms. Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Intake session where I get to know you, your needs, what you want to get out of coming to therapy, and trust and rapport building. You can discuss your needs and emotions openly and feel safe in the virtual therapy room. During our follow up therapy sessions it is your time to use as needed, but I am also here to support you and help you learn new skills and techniques to manage your mental health symptoms.

This session was great. I was given some tools to work on, and how to move forward in my situation. I will be meeting with Dr. Ashley in one month and hopefully, with the advice that was given, I will see some improvement in my situation.
