About me

Hi there. I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in Kentucky and Florida. For over 14 years, I have been helping people who are living with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life changes. I enjoy helping people learn how to use their own strengths to start feeling better. I have worked in a number of settings including inpatient treatment and outpatient. I enjoy meeting people from diverse backgrounds and helping people start feeling better whatever stage of life they are in.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we will spend time getting to know each other. I want to hear what has led you to therapy so that we can begin a plan to take on the challenges together. Although I want to know all about you, you don't have to tell me everything all at once- only what you feel comfortable sharing.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Having worked with a lot of people from a lot of backgrounds, I know that everyone has strengths that they can use to start helping themselves heal. I am pretty good at spotting these and helping you to see them. I also enjoy sharing my tool bag with you so that you can take what works for you!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I enjoy working with adults 18 and up who are needed some help in the rough spots of life. I especially enjoy working with seniors.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

By learning how to recognize our thoughts, we can start to change them to better serve us. Through this, we change how we feel!

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Learning how to navigate life's challenges starts with learning to accept yourself. Sound impossible? well, you are not alone. But believe it or not we can learn to accept ourselves and still work for excellence! Beating yourself up is rarely a good motivator for improvement! My job is to help you learn how to do this. One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing people start to see themselves more accurately.
